I had to update my review because one of my biggest pet peeves is when people don't put prices on their merchandise. I don't want to google it or find out at the register only to discover it's way out of my budget! This location is very inconsistent with their price labeling. I also find it a bit disorganized, there are things on sale throughout the store, but then there's also a sales room in back. The store itself is clean (like there aren't clothes thrown about the store, things are tidy), I just think there's better ways to give your customers a better shopping experience. I love Duluth Trading as a brand itself. Though expensive, you get amazing quality, and pieces that'll last you much longer than other brands. They also love putting pockets on their stuff which I appreciate. read more

They do have nice stuff, but when I walk into a store at 7:45 (when they close at 8 o'clock) and an employee runs up to the door to rudely tell me that they're almost closed... I tell them it's not 8 o'clock yet...and I'm told "well it's almost 8" it's almost as if they don't want me spending money there. This review is about an online purchase, and not directed to this particular location. I have been a loyal Duluth customer for over 30 years, when it was just an online catalog. I probably own one of virtually every piece of men's clothing that they sell. The quality of clothing over the years has always been exceptional. I own about 8 or 10 pairs of denim jeans that i rotate so as not to wear out too soon. I put on a newer pair i had purchased some time last year and a few of the teeth on the zipper tore out, and pulled the zipper handle off that side, leaving a virtually new pair of jeans useless. I contacted customer support expecting their previous great support with returns, only to be disappointed in not being offered any compensation at all.I was told the order was over 1 year old so there is nothing they can do.Way to go Duluth! I guess i'll go back to my trusty Levis brand. read more

Duluth Trading Company really came through for me when other retailers let me down! Okay...so I needed a simple black turtleneck for a food & wine tasting. I drove to and went inside ALL of the following stores last Saturday. They all listed turtlenecks on their websites. Unfortunately, none of them differentiated which were "in-store" and which were "on-line only". I went to... -American Eagle Outfitters (Coon Rapids) -Carhartt (Coon Rapids) -Dick's Sporting Goods (Coon Rapids) -JC Penny's (Coon Rapids) -Kohls (Cook Rapids) -Men's Warehouse (Coon Rapids) -Mills Fleet Farm (Brooklyn Park) -Old Navy (Coon Rapids) -Target (Coon Rapids) -Walmart (Andover and Coon Rapids) I was REALLY pissed off!!! I went to 11 stores and NONE of them had a simple turtleneck in-stock. Not even stores like like Walmart, which listed nearly 20 different men's turtlenecks on-line. The next day I went to the Duluth Trading Company (Fridley) for the first time. Oh, how I wish they were my first stop! I was in heaven! They had 3 different kinds of turtlenecks - giant stacks of them - in many sizes and in many colors. They're huge and they have SO much cool stuff! I bought 3 styles of turtlenecks in 3 different colors. I came the next day and I bought 2 pairs of work pants for my daughter. About half of the store is for women. Half of the store for women? This beats the hell out of places like Carhartt and Fleet Farm and Red Wing Shoes that just have small, token women's sections. They're a little more expensive. It's worth every penny. The clothing is awesome, a huge selection of tough work wear under one roof. And the customer service is first rate. There are lots of other extra goodies like a lounge in the back (with free coffee & bottled water), an area with books, and cool accessories ranging from nasty looking machetes & knives to monkey butt powder. Stopped in for the first time on our way home from St. Paul, what a great idea, we were interested in the long tail tees, there ended up being 30% off if you spent $100, which did not take long, came out with 3 tees and a firehose jacket for under $90, greeted warmly and helpful staff. Will be back again when we feel we have more time. read more

My family loves this place, and it was my first time being there. For the last couple years I've seen their ads and thought if their clothing was as good as it looks - it is. I specifically like their underwear because of the comfort and there's no worry about a tag that could rub on your backside like other brands. You can find anything you want there from coffee mugs to dog supplies to clothing. There can be atleast 1 thing you'll like there. Their amenities are also amazing, just sad they didn't have any water in their cooler. read more

I purchased two items at the Duluth Trading Company in Fridley. I didn't observe the clerk place the items in the bag as I was preoccupied with placing my credit card in my wallet. When I arrived home soon after, I did not see a stocking cap that was one of the two items. I immediately called asking if staff found the stocking cap on the counter. "No but bring in you're receipt and we'll replace it." I didn't get the clerk's name. The next day, I went to the store fearing different staff would treat me differently. Instead, after producing the receipt, I got a replacement, no questions asked. read more

Terrible customer service. We are a military contractor and was contacted by the American Embassy in Kabul Afganistan. We reached out to Duluth with a laundry list of items that the staff wanted purchase. I reached out and sent the request to several customer service reps and was our request was not taken seriously. I spoke to several sales people.. Bottom line they do not offer discount to Military. Furthermore they would not even quote the multiple order and sent me to the website.. I will be reporting this to the state dept so that in the future they will know how difficult it is to order from duluth.. Too bad there are other competitors that would to have their products clothing the Staff in Kabul. read more

I really wish I had more time when I visited this store. Unfortunately, I was on the way to the airport and could only spend a few minutes. Here are some impressions: + Greeted at the door. + I needed more help than the typical customer because of my timeline so I really appreciated that one of the ladies was willing to show me to exactly what I came in looking to see. + Very friendly staff! + MN does not charge sales tax on clothes. The sales tax thing is not a surprise to MN residents but a bit of a shock to me. Yet another reason I wished I had stopped by earlier in my business trip when I could have spent more time. Why only 4 stars? I like their stuff and wear their bear naked underwear almost exclusively at this point but their prices are a bit high when compared to others selling similar goods. read more

I have been trying for months to "unsubscribe" from their 3-4 DAILY!!! emails. I have emailed and called customer service multiple times and still the spam keeps coming. Each time I am told that I have been unsubscribed, but may receive 1 or 2 more that are "in process." Yet I continue to receive multiple daily. I have now taken to just forwarding them back on their customer service account. I like a lot of the product and have spent considerable $$ over time, but they won't see another thin dime from me while this continues. Shame on you Duluth Trading Company. First impression of walking in to store is very clean and nice displays! Tons of staff seems like there was more then customers there! Had to ask somebody about the ballroom flex jeans shrinkage found a guy in the back corner folding clothes The guy really didn't seem to know? Then I asked him about suspenders and he didn't know much about those either! So I head up to the counter with my purchases and see they have gloves on sale of course they had every size but XL in what I was looking for so I ask the ladies at the counter what they do when they're out of stock and they both kind of looked at each other like nobody has ever asked that question before I asked about a rain check and it's like they looked at me like I was from outer space! Then when I said I wanted to talk to the manager she said she was the assistant manager haha! Stuff seems to be a little overpriced for me 50 dollar jeans that should probably be 30! You can buy jeans at Fleet Farm for $15? Don't get me wrong I can afford it but it is what it is! read more

First time shoping with Duluth Trading Co and I really don't get the other reviews. The staff was fantastic I was offered help immediately. The staff at all levels were engaging and even went out of their way to get my sizes including calling other stores and ordering online (trim sizes). The manager Christopher definitely went above and beyond. This stuff is high quality and as such higher priced than sears junk. If you want good $hit then this is the place for you! They have water, coffee, and other great little things for there customers. Highly impressed. read more

Was in town on business and spotted a billboard for this place so I had to check it out at the end of my business day. The store is clean, bright and polished. A plethora of staff were available and all very pleasant offering their assistance. A few bargains could be found but most items have a pretty hefty but typical price tag for the type of clothing. I was very pleased to find so many shirts that came in "Tall", that's often a challenging find. It's just a fun place to browse if nothing else. Some very curious and eclectic items are interspersed around the store. I made a couple of purchases and certainly plan on visiting again in the future. read more

I bought some firehose flex work pants about 6 months ago and just recently I got a tear in the crotch area. I thought they should last a bit longer and mentioned it to them and they (because of their "no bull" policy) replaced them at no charge. Great service, it's what you would hope they would do when you pay $75 for pants that they would stand behind their product. I'm thinking they tore due to a manufacturer defect that wasn't noticeable to the eye or something. Either way, they made it right and I will continue to be a consistent customer.
