It takes time to flip through the items, but if you find something you like it's going to be an amazing value. Today, I found a red and black flannel shirt and it cost me only $5. Now, I just gotta wait till fall to wear it. This Kohl's has had a small facelift. They've redesigned the check-out/cashiers space. It is now similar to Marshall's and Home Goods. It get to the cashiers, you go down a long aisle filled with merchandise. That way if there's a line, you add impulse items to your cart. Today I was strong and didn't add the Godiva Chocolate Bars to my collection. Floor associates are always available for assistance and the cashiers are friendly while taking your money. Beware, they'll ask you to sign up for their exclusive credit. It's a good deal, but I have cards that give me points, too. My main purchases here are; socks, belts, jeans, Dockers, casual shirts and items from their home soft department. I suggest you got shop at your local Kohl's and see what you can find.

I booked an online photo session for a head shot. I didn't expect much being JCPenney. Yet,…read moreJCPenney's managed to make it a horrible experience. I already have anxiety getting my pics taken. I got less than expected and overcharged. The person running the counter at the photo desk was not rude but looks like she hated her job. I understand. However, JCPenney's chooses to keep someone in the photo department who obviously doesn't care about her job or the product she produces. Again, I get it it's not the most glamorous job. Yet, people still come to work they are being paid for and at least try. I contacted someone at JCPenney and they offered a reshoot. All I really wanted was for the pics to be retouched without any further costs. Why? Because when booked the appointment I was told they would prompt me so they could get the best photo. She told me to turn my head twice so she could get two pics done quickly. When I looked at the finished product in a dark area of the shop they looked ok. However when I was able to see them on my phone I noticed somethings that could have been fixed if she just took a minute or two to do her job. I spent money to get makeup done and didn't have anymore time to spare for better pics (I needed them for a specific reason...time constraints.) I will also mention that outfit changes are advertised however the only privacy I was offered was blocking an open door with an advertising sign. No actual door to provide privacy. She helped me get the "door" in place once. I had to move the door each time I dressed. I contacted JCPenney about getting a refund for the pics or at least to fix them. They offered a photo reshoot. Why? I doubt the only employee on duty found a will to care in less than a week. I would have had to pay for someone to do my makeup again. This is why JCPenney's looks like a ghost town. You won't even fix your mistakes or offer a refund for bad customer service. I didn't expect to lose money and be embarrassed. Thanks for nothing.

Since I moved to the Alton area, I've only shopped Farm & Home Supply a couple of times. It is an…read moreodd store. I grew up on a farm in the area, but lived in different cities for 40 years before moving back. I'm guessing my city life, is dominating my country roots and my appreciation for this store. The one area that I absolutely do appreciate, is the dog toys. There are plenty of plush toys and an amazing variety of Kong Toys. Another area that I enjoy shopping, is the garden department. In the men's department, I only like their selection of blue jeans, because I can spend my life forever in blue jean. I think what surprises me most about this store is the pricing, it is higher than I would expect a farm store. Especially in the mens department, I can go to Orvis or a designer store at the outlet mall and find shirts and slacks at a better price. With the way the economy is going, we all have to be a smarter shopper. I'll continue to shop here, in hopes of finding a bargain in the future.

When I called they said they were out of stock but would refund me for my full order (because who wants 2 towels that don't match the rest?) had to call again today to be told I will still be charged for those 2 towels AND the shipping and there is nothing I can do about it. After 45 minutes on the phone they gave me $10 kohls cash. To say this has been disappointing is an understatement.
