I've shopped full-price retail stores that are not this well organized. I liked that they have mens shirts separated by style. It made it easy to shop for short sleeve casual. I got lucky today and found three shirts. They were clean, had all their buttons and I didn't see any rips or holes. Once I rewash and iron them, they'' be ready to go. I went to use the self check-out and they had a young lady there who did it for you. She was great. She was perky, friendly, personable and professional. Other retailers would be lucky to have someone as good as her. I'm getting over my dislike of thrift shopping, so I'll be back.

I purchase a lot of shoes from thrift stores. The shoe section was tiny. Book section was small too. Excellent linen section though. When I shared that information with the owner, she knew exactly what I needed. She showed me a cute t-shirt that had an airplane on it with the caption, "Take To The Sky". It was perfect. Now I just had to find out what size to buy. The owner remained patient as I texted the grandma, so I purchased the right size. The t-shirt was considered a summer items and all summer fashions were on sale for 20% off. So I got a great gift at a discount. (Original price was good, too). I paired this t-shirt with a couple of Hot Wings toys from Funky Planet Toys, a fabulous locally owned toy store about a half block down the street. Alton is lucky to have these two children's stores in their downtown. As a bonus, both are women owned.

They have rearranged the store a few times in the years I've been going, but things are typically very easy to find. With new items right up front and then the clearance items located in the back. The only qualm I have about the store is the same qualm I have with most clothing stores. The mens section is not big enough and can often feel limited when compared to the women's section. And even the baby section at time. However I have been able to find some great pieces here and they frequently update their stock.

As I walked in, the store was laid out so neatly and so I was able to find what I was looking for instantly. The sales associate, Quiana, was fantastic! She has such a sweet personality and was such a pleasure to do business with. She took the time to wrap up all of my items (I told her this was a gift) and made it look perfect. After she had gotten everything together, I realized I had a coupon code, she happily took the time to make sure I got to use it. So not only was the bag I bought perfect, but I got it at a discount too! Before I was ready to go, I realized that they had storage bags for purses, available for purchase. I asked her if it was ok to add that after she rang everything up and she happily took the time to grab it for me. She even went as far to re-wrap the purchase so we could use that storage bag. She was seriously the best! I hope the manager of the store sees this and acknowledges her!
