I got less than expected and overcharged. The person running the counter at the photo desk was not rude but looks like she hated her job. I understand. However, JCPenney's chooses to keep someone in the photo department who obviously doesn't care about her job or the product she produces. Again, I get it it's not the most glamorous job. Yet, people still come to work they are being paid for and at least try. I contacted someone at JCPenney and they offered a reshoot. All I really wanted was for the pics to be retouched without any further costs. Why? Because when booked the appointment I was told they would prompt me so they could get the best photo. She told me to turn my head twice so she could get two pics done quickly. When I looked at the finished product in a dark area of the shop they looked ok. However when I was able to see them on my phone I noticed somethings that could have been fixed if she just took a minute or two to do her job. I spent money to get makeup done and didn't have anymore time to spare for better pics (I needed them for a specific reason...time constraints.) I will also mention that outfit changes are advertised however the only privacy I was offered was blocking an open door with an advertising sign. No actual door to provide privacy. She helped me get the "door" in place once. I had to move the door each time I dressed. I contacted JCPenney about getting a refund for the pics or at least to fix them. They offered a photo reshoot. Why? I doubt the only employee on duty found a will to care in less than a week. I would have had to pay for someone to do my makeup again. This is why JCPenney's looks like a ghost town. You won't even fix your mistakes or offer a refund for bad customer service. I didn't expect to lose money and be embarrassed. Thanks for nothing.

The cashiers are speedy scanning the items and putting them back into one of the rented carts. The canned goods are a great value. I've even found multiple quality products in the freezer department. The cheeses and deli meats are quality for the price. When everyone was complaining about egg prices, they were still affordable here at Aldi's and they're still a deal. Meats are acceptable. Just be aware of what you are making and select the cut of meats accordingly. A trip down the aisle that has unexpected Aldi finds, is always an experience. This time of year, you just might find a holiday gift or two at an amazing price. I follow a group on FB called, Aldi Aisle of Shame. It highlights what shoppers have found in that aisle and what they really like. Remember, always have a quarter to rent your shopping buggy and plenty of reusable bags to do your own bagging. Doing those two things helps you save money and it is worth it.

I only ordered it because it was available for order; duh. When I went to pick it up at 945 for my 10 am pickup I noticed a substitute notification sent at 915. I had exactly a half hour to see it and reply, except I didn't see it in that timeframe. But...then I saw another notification ONLY TEN MINUTES LATER that told me the window of substitution had closed. The item substituted was $3.00 more and besides I already had it at home. They gave me only ten minutes. I tried to message the shopper to say I didn't want it, but it said the system could not send a message at that time. When they brought my order out, she said because the substitution window had closed, I couldn't get a refund. So I'm just screwed because they had something for sale...and the item, Wagyu ground beef for $4.99 a pound, is STILL showing available right now, but they don't have actually HAVE any available for sale. How incredibly annoying. The store NEVER takes responsibility for the curbside orders, NEVER, not ONE TIME It's always the customer's problem to have to sort out with the app, and you can imagine what a joyless task THAT is. You can't call the store and you can't call a customer service #. The problem isn't the app. Walmart has an app they built themselves that isn't based on Instacart and has multiple points of communication and redress. They make mistakes, too, but they take responsibility for them and don't just let the customer lump it. I get that; mistakes happen but how well one navigates them determines how serious a company is about the actual quality of their customer service. Walmart is serious, Aldi's is NOT. And Walmart charges me the same price in store or pick-up, Aldi's charges me a fee, Walmart doesn't for orders over $35, and Walmart doesn't charge me for bags, Aldi's does, and Aldi's charges up to 10% more for pickup items than in-store prices, and then gives me worse customer service despite charging me more for the privilege of being their customer, not in ONE way, but in THREE DIFFERENT WAYS! And Schnucks uses the Instacart platform for its curbside pickup app, doesn't charge a fee for orders over $25, charges me the same price in or out, and can replace and refund items, and they use THE SAME DIGITAL PLATFORM. So the excuse that it's "the app's fault" is BS. I don't blame the employees, they're just playing the cards they were dealt, but the company policy was designed to fail customers and fail it does. The employees are GREAT, polite and efficient. But I'm only writing this review because this is the fourth time this is happened since the last negative review I wrote that was for the exact same issue, that they continue to ignore. So they don't seem to have any intention to fix it. I'll still shop here but I'm going to get every possible item I can get from elsewhere. By keeping my orders few and far between I'll be risking fewer inconveniences. And don't forget the needless extra expense! Groceries cost 30% more than they did five years ago when we all started using curbside pickup during the pandemic! They've had FIVE YEARS to refine their platform and have chosen NOT to, even though grocery profits are currently higher than they've been since 2007! They can't claim they aren't making enough money to be able to provide industry standard customer service! Disappointed in Aldi's. Again.

Now, I just gotta wait till fall to wear it. This Kohl's has had a small facelift. They've redesigned the check-out/cashiers space. It is now similar to Marshall's and Home Goods. It get to the cashiers, you go down a long aisle filled with merchandise. That way if there's a line, you add impulse items to your cart. Today I was strong and didn't add the Godiva Chocolate Bars to my collection. Floor associates are always available for assistance and the cashiers are friendly while taking your money. Beware, they'll ask you to sign up for their exclusive credit. It's a good deal, but I have cards that give me points, too. My main purchases here are; socks, belts, jeans, Dockers, casual shirts and items from their home soft department. I suggest you got shop at your local Kohl's and see what you can find.

The new store is organized and laid out well. It's just a few stores down from the new Marshall's that I have become obsessed with, so I am confident that I will be shopping both stores frequently. Both sales associates I had an interchange with, were super friendly and professional. They made my shopping experience fun. The cashier, got me hooked up with their rewards program and I've already cashed in on my first perk. Go ahead, call me a shopaholic.

I jumped in the car and drove the 13 miles only to be greeted with a blank stare from the girl that I asked. She said "no, they don't have anything like that". I told her I looked it up on line and was told it was available. She said, I'm sorry, but we don't have it. Well, there goes an hour from my day that I'll never see again. Ace has a habit of overselling and promoting items that they do not have at stores, within a reasonable drive. i would like them to at least check their inventory against what they are advertising and at least, try and make it an accurate guess. About 45 mins later, the kid got upset and the parents took them out again. The old man stopped the auction and yelled "I've already told you once to get the fucking kid out of here, now do it!" He continued on to say "I've parented my kids with Spankings and discipline, I suggest you do the same!" I myself as a parent was bewildered by his lack of respect to paying costumer's. The parents were visibly upset as they did what they could in the situation. The building is huge and they were taking the child out as fast as they could. Many others were visibly upset with his lack of empathy. I hope his kids turn out better than he is because we WILL NOT be back. We have done many of auctions up there. They always have a great selection of items and you can normally get deals. No deal is worth what I witnessed tonight. We will not be back especially if he is around. If I could give less than 1 star I would in a heart beat.
