Recently I was looking for small bike for my grandson. There were two that were marked as clearance at 50.00 and 70.00 dollars . I asked an employee to check to see if the price was correct. It was showing a much higher price . We took the 50.00 bike to return desk to see if they could sell it to me for price showing where the bike was in the rack .I was told that they did not have the authority to do so, that manager would make that determination. I asked if I could speak with him. The desk called for him to talk with me. About 15 minutes later a person walked up . His personal appearance lead me to believe he was a customer not the manager. I asked him if I could buy the bike for the price that was listed . In no certain terms was he willing try to work with me . I went home and contacted Godfrey Walmart and was able to get a bike shipped to me that slightly cheaper for $50.00.Very bad experience !!! read more

When I lived in the area we went here so much they knew us when we walked in (sad, I know). Since we moved away I have grown to appreciate the local Walmart there even more. The customer service was top notch. The shelves were always well stocked. My local Walmart now is referred to as "the out of stock store." If you have a list you are guaranteed to leave with only 2/3 of the things on that list as my current Walmart WILL be out of stock. My local Walmart must have a beacon atop of it that calls out to all those crazy "people of Walmart" to go there. We have more than our share of these people. We may have 2-3 lanes open. All the serve yourself checkouts are open. Those checkouts are backed up because no one wants to wait in the couple other services lanes actually open. Many of the staff are rude or cranky. Who could blame them? Working in those conditions. Enjoy your good Walmart because they're not all that way. We quit going except when we feel we have no choice....maybe once every couple months. read more

I was in the Jerseyvville Illinois location. While at the check out, I needed assistance from an employee, after waiting a while a lady finally came over to "help" and got very snotty, mean and rude. Her name was Brook, who apparently did not want to be there, didnt even listen to all I had to say, instead interrupted me as if what I had to say was not important. I ask to speak with a manager, thinking I would get store manager or someone who had some authority, I found out, the guy I was speaking with was from automotive. I was completely confused on how that happened, but ask for store manager. He went to an office, and came back and stated, "store manager is to busy, I have to handle the problem." At no time did this "automotive employee" have a badge or any indication he actually worked for Wal-Mart. Asked for the General Name and telephone number, I was told we can not give that out. Needless to say it was a bad review for this location. This will be escalated further thru the chain of command! read more

I visit this Walmart all the time. My family does most of the grocery shopping here. I've always had a good experience there. The shelves are always stocked and the workers are always more than willing to help. read more

I'm very happy they're open 24 hours, as I can't shop with noise, so shopping at 3am works for me. They're always friendly & helpful at this location. They'd get five stars except for their awful pharmacy dept. The staff there is unprofessional & rude. I have switched our family to Walgreens for prescription filling. Polite service is more important to us than price. And not everyone's disability is obvious. Maybe the pharmacy staff at that location should be retrained so they're aware of that possibility. read more

For the money that you spend on fresh fruits and vegetables they don't keep very long. I purchased some cucumbers today that were prepackaged upon getting home I find they are rotten. Back to the store only to be chastised by the customer service lady that I should of looked closer before buying. Really? How do you look closely at prepackaged food? I know Open It. read more
