I visited Elliott Jewelers many times for work on my jewelry prior to the time the current owner,…read moreDoug, took over the business. I can't say enough good things about the elder Mr Elliott who is now retired. Once Doug became the owner, I continued to bring jewelry in for repair and bought four bracelets and three pair of earrings in about a two year span of time. Overall, I was satisfied. However, I then had to have several of my rings sized, and when I picked up the rings, the gold band was made so thin, the rings are no longer strong enough for daily wear. That highly annoyed me, and I should have complained, but I never want to cause a problem, so I just planned on taking them somewhere else at a later date for repair. The final straw was when my husband's wedding ring lost a diamond and the band had bent out of shape slightly over time. Doug charged us $369 for a tiny diamond that we later found out from another jeweler was a $25 stone. Ouch! What a rip off! In addition, Doug left the gold so thin, after my husband wore his ring ONCE the thin gold twisted completely out of shape and is completely unwearable. In addition, we had paid extra for some etching to be done that was originally on the ring but had worn off. He didn't put any etching on the ring even though we paid for it. So basically we paid him close to $400 to repair and resize a ring and are left with a piece of junk gold that can't be worn or used for anything. I'm extremely upset about all of that, not to mention the sentimental value of my husband's wedding ring which he can no longer wear, 30 years into our marriage. I would give the Elliott's a chance to fit it and make it right, but my husband is so upset he doesn't want to contact them. If they cared even a tiny bit, they never would have done such a horrendous job on the ring in the first place. My advice is to go ANYWHERE else.

I've supported this local business several times, but unfortunately each visit has left me feeling…read moreunwelcome. The owner has consistently come across as passive-aggressive. When I explained that I can't visit often because I work during their business hours, I was told to come on Saturdays. I later stopped by on a Sunday at 3:00 p.m., well within the posted hours, only to find the store closed. On another visit, there was a promotion for a free item with purchase, but I felt rushed to choose my free item even though I was the only customer in the store. The owner suggested a bar of soap, which felt like a dismissive, low-value option. I also used the fitting room, but the owner seemed annoyed that I only purchased one of the items I tried on, making me feel like I was inconveniencing her. Throughout my visits, I also felt uncomfortable because the owner shared personal complaints and seemed judgmental rather than welcoming. Between the inconsistent business hours and repeated negative interactions, I've decided I won't be returning. I hope the business becomes more customer-focused and creates a more welcoming experience for its patrons.

She walked past without saying anything to me and talking under her breath as I followed her to the area of the brand of shoe assuming she was going to search . This rating is based on shopping for bridesmaid dresses, not wedding dresses (I'd already gotten my…read morewedding dress prior to shopping here). The sales ladies were very nice, and their shop is PACKED FULL of merchandise... be prepared to spend some time sifting through the racks if you plan on checking them out. Anyway, I've got the same complaint here as a few other shops--- they did not have anything for plus-sized bridesmaids to try on. As with other shops in the area, they only carry "sample sizes" that do not reflect the general population. If you're looking for anything over a size 18 for your bridesmaid(s) to try on in the store, good luck finding it, because it'll be a diamond in the rough. I hate only giving them 2 stars (because the sales ladies were very nice and they did have a variety of styles), but I'm hoping they'll contact their vendors and demand larger sample sizes so more ladies can actually try on dresses before ordering & buying them. Here's an idea; open an affiliate shop offering formal dresses that cater to larger women; it's a niche market, and with the right advertising & word-of-mouth, customers will be flocking to your store.

Apparently they measured incorrectly, because the alterations couldn't be done as needed. The girls couldn't lift their arms, because there was no room for letting the arms out. Being 5 hrs away, we couldn't have a fitting like most of the girls, so the day of rehearsal we had to go after and do the fitting and alterations, missing the rehearsal dinners, fun etc. When asked for discount, we were told no, alterations were free. However, even with alterations we still walked out of there paying for a dress that did not fit. Manager told us it was the manufactures fault. Sorry, but, they should have been on top of their orders!!! Feel bad for the girl, who only works there, because she took the many complaints for her manager. Horrible horrible horrible beware.
