This led us to the nearby Ziena Boutique storefront. We went inside and explored what turned out to be an upscale women's clothing store that seems to specialize in trendy smart-casual styles. Ziena has jeans, blouses, dusters, necklaces, permanent jewelry, sparkly custom patches that can be placed on clothing or cosmetic bags, and more. I expected the prices to be high, but I was pleasantly surprised that they were reasonable. I bought a duster-style button-down shirt that looks great over short jeans and a tank, and it was only $45. I have already told several friends that they need to stop by this place. I'll be back!

I've supported this local business several times, but unfortunately each visit has left me feeling…read moreunwelcome. The owner has consistently come across as passive-aggressive. When I explained that I can't visit often because I work during their business hours, I was told to come on Saturdays. I later stopped by on a Sunday at 3:00 p.m., well within the posted hours, only to find the store closed. On another visit, there was a promotion for a free item with purchase, but I felt rushed to choose my free item even though I was the only customer in the store. The owner suggested a bar of soap, which felt like a dismissive, low-value option. I also used the fitting room, but the owner seemed annoyed that I only purchased one of the items I tried on, making me feel like I was inconveniencing her. Throughout my visits, I also felt uncomfortable because the owner shared personal complaints and seemed judgmental rather than welcoming. Between the inconsistent business hours and repeated negative interactions, I've decided I won't be returning. I hope the business becomes more customer-focused and creates a more welcoming experience for its patrons.

I hated going into the ghost mall and trekking past empty stores to go get my BBW fix. I hated it so much, that I just did without. Now that it is in this rejuvenated strip mall, I am back to stocking up on soft soaps and candles. Being gone for a while, I was impressed with the expanded Men's selection of skin care products. The new store is organized and laid out well. It's just a few stores down from the new Marshall's that I have become obsessed with, so I am confident that I will be shopping both stores frequently. Both sales associates I had an interchange with, were super friendly and professional. They made my shopping experience fun. I grew up and started running in Peoria, IL where I used to support the local shop Running Central…read more I recently moved to this area and wanted to find a local spot to get a pair of Hokas, so I stopped in one afternoon. The shop is very small but packed with things. I was immediately unimpressed because I wasn't greeted well. I was the only customer there and the two people at the counter said nothing, just looked at me. I'm going to guess they are college students, one male and one female. I walked up to the counter and let them know I wanted to check out Hoka. I really felt like neither of them really wanted to help me and the male moved and took me to the back. I explained that I usually wear New Balance 860's and wanted to check out a cushioned pair of Hoka's, hopefully more of a stability shoe. He asked me my size and went in back. A blonde woman came back out with him and I explained to her my request as well, and she was very helpful, explaining the models they had available and offering a men's version since I have a wide foot. I tried on three models and settled on a men's Gaviota. The whole time they just kind of stood there looking at me. I gave three stars because I did find a shoe but I felt a little unwelcome since everyone was very blah. Usually these local running shops get personal, smile, ask what activities I do, talk about fit, feel the fit on my toes, etc. It was just really weird and I might as well have just spent $150 with my REI membership.
