Most of what I said four years ago still applies, though this time it wasn't the LG washer giving us a problem, but rather its partner "top-rated" LG dryer, its grinding beginning to sound like fingernails pulled across a chalkboard. Among other things, I now have: *A dryer that looks, operates, and even sounds a lot like my Mom's old Maytag, with rotary dial controls, and no silly electronic songs; *A product made in the USA; *A five-year in-home warranty, all parts and labor, and various other partial warranties after that; *A 25-year expected life span, so the next dryer I buy may be for my assisted-living apartment; *The great satisfaction of never again having to ask for assistance from LG customer service. Speed Queen is the most reliable brand, yet I believe Consumer Reports still does not recommend it, apparently because CR thinks it is not energy efficient. But how energy- and resource-efficient can it be to manufacture, ship, purchase, use, and dispose of a machine that works only five or ten years, like my junky old "top-rated" LGs?

I have purchased 2 washers and 1 Fridge for our rental properties from Bill at World Famous Appliance. The washers work as they should but the fridge has been nothing but a problem. The first fridge was delivered the first week of February and was broken from the start. The piece that connects to the water line for the ice maker was cracked, so when we hooked it up, water poured onto the floor. I contacted Bill immediately and it took many unanswered calls and texts to get a repair scheduled. Then, the fridge stopped cooling entirely. A repairman was finally sent, and they decided to replace the fridge. This process took 2 months even though the fridge was broken from day 1. Unfortunately, the second fridge that was delivered in April was also broken from the start. The water line to the ice maker was broken, the freezer didn't cool enough to keep ice cream frozen, and tons of water collects in the bottom of the fridge. If you move the fridge at all, water floods onto the floor. I have contacted them by phone/text/Facebook Messenger multiple times. Occasionally I'll get a response saying that a repair will be scheduled but it never seems to happen. It is now Mid-September and we're still without a truly working fridge. It's really disheartening, as I wanted to support this local business. If the problem gets resolved, I will update this review.

The record store portion of the business featured a very good selection of alphabetically- sorted used rock vinyl, including many import pressings ... as well as a few new LPs (including recent RSD releases). Budget-priced discs were in crates below and behind the primary inventory. They also had some jazz, blues, folk/country, and a few classical records. They even had two different releases by my favorite 60's band, Moby Grape!! While the records alone would have brought me back to this store, fully half of their location is dedicated to high-end hi-fi equipment: turntabless, CD players, amp, speakers, etc. I have been wanted to rebuild my home audio for over 30 years ... but after several major geographic relocations, I no longer knew where to start. Well folks, this is it! Mike, the owner, is extremely knowledgable in all matters stereo - and will demo different set-ups at your request. Very high end, audiophile equipment. The best item I saw was Threshold Sheets, they were way cheaper then the prices you'd pay at Target. I already have way too many sets of sheets, so I didn't buy a new set, but I was tempted. With the tariffs being added to imported items and Christmas approaching fast, PO may be a popular place to shop this holiday. Especially if you have littles ones. They had a good variety of Paw Patrol and Barbie Dolls. plus much more. They also had a variety of countertop appliances. You can get a new air fryer for pennies on the dollar. However, the grocery items they had me passing them by, they kinda scared me. The store was well staffed and they offered assistance as I browsed through the store. If you are looking for a bargain as the prices soar at other stores, it may be worth your time, to check Planet Overstock out next time you are out shopping.

Sometimes you can come here and not find much but other times they have great stuff. I bought a really nice sheet set for my split king bed last year at a steep discount. The sheets are nice.
