They had just what we wanted and gave us a great deal. Our sales person was very knowledgeable, way more the the big places. He took awesome care of us and it was delivered within a few days! I love my new stove! If you are in need of appliances, I highly recommend Mark's. The repair guy came back today and fixed the dishwasher. Hopefully this is the last time for awhile. So we have a happy ending. I want to make an amendment to the prior update. It turns out the electrician who checked our House didn't do a good job! I will be reviewing them next! Most of what I said four years ago still applies, though this time it wasn't the LG washer giving us a problem, but rather its partner "top-rated" LG dryer, its grinding beginning to sound like fingernails pulled across a chalkboard. Among other things, I now have: *A dryer that looks, operates, and even sounds a lot like my Mom's old Maytag, with rotary dial controls, and no silly electronic songs; *A product made in the USA; *A five-year in-home warranty, all parts and labor, and various other partial warranties after that; *A 25-year expected life span, so the next dryer I buy may be for my assisted-living apartment; *The great satisfaction of never again having to ask for assistance from LG customer service. Speed Queen is the most reliable brand, yet I believe Consumer Reports still does not recommend it, apparently because CR thinks it is not energy efficient. But how energy- and resource-efficient can it be to manufacture, ship, purchase, use, and dispose of a machine that works only five or ten years, like my junky old "top-rated" LGs?

They are making a killing off of us right now! For the most part, their staff is helpful and friendly. I've gone during the day so I've never had to wait for a register since there aren't many other people there. The layout is a little funky. The Home Depots we had in California had a more efficient setup, in my opinion. The garden department definitely needs some work. There is a much better selection at the HD in Collinsville than here. I was very disappointed to see that each time I went, their trees out front were fallen over on their sides and a lot of plants needed watering. Who wants to buy anything when they look like that?? With such limited choices for home supplies in the area, hopefully HD will step up in this department. I do have to give a big thumbs up to the lady in the windows and blinds department who cut our blinds and had them ready within an hour. That totally rocked!

I had to call to find out if they knew I was here (20 minutes into waiting) . Lady acted like she didn't know. I finally went in, and that's when another lady, I guess went to the back to get my order. WTH! I don't know how they will send an email that the order is ready and then it's not. 40 minutes later, I'm the one loading my order.

They were in close contact with me throughout the process and kept me up to date on what was going on. The big hold up was receiving the parts from GE. Once they came in, this company was out here in a day or two and had me up and running. Initially GE had set me up with another company and they had taken almost 2 months to do absolutely nothing. They didn't show up for their appointment after I waited so long to get in with them, and then it was impossible to contact a real person. I was set up with recording after recording and automated crap that couldn't help and I couldn't contact a real person. Broadway Battery & Tire Service ALWAYS had a PERSON who answered the phone and ALWAYS got whatever information I needed back to me promptly. They called me with updates on when the parts were coming in and scheduled me quickly. They called the day prior with a reminder and to give me an estimated time of arrival, and they actually showed up and fixed a refrigerator that I'd been without for 2 months! I wish that GE had set me up with them initially, so that I wouldn't have had to go so long without a working fridge. I have no doubt that they would have had my issues fixed within a week or two instead of 2 months. Kudos to this company on their prompt and professional work ethic. Everything is priced well and the service is outstanding. The back portion of the business is the auto repair shop. The owner and mechanics definitely know their way around a car. And their tire repair service is second to none. Good, honest prices and quick service. I went in with nails in my front two tires. They couldn't be repaired (due to the nail placement), Dennis ordered two tires and had me running in under 24 hours. My husband had a nail in his tire, pulled into the shop no appointment and they had it patched within 15 minutes. If you want good service for your vehicle, tires or appliances, Broadway is the place to go. The new Meineke in town has NOTHING on this small town business.
