I tell the guy I want the knives sharpened and ready for pickup that afternoon. Simple enough, right? Wrong. He informs me they ship the knives off to New York, and it takes 2-3 weeks. Weeks. Because clearly, these knives must undergo a spiritual journey before they're deemed worthy of being sharp again. I explain they aren't *that* dull and ask if they can just sharpen them in-house. He says they can--oh, but not the serrated knives, can opener, or scissors. Sure, no problem. I'll take those magical items home and entrust him with just the straight edges. Then he drops another gem: they can "touch up" the knives. Fine by me, as long as I get them back in the afternoon. But wait! Plot twist--he suddenly claims it'll take 2-3 *days* because they "have an event." An event? Are the knives the keynote speakers? Because the store was as empty as my patience at that point. I looked around, saw no sign of this mysterious "event," and finally hit my limit. I stormed out, muttering about how I'd apparently wandered into the Theater of the Absurd. Honestly, what a circus.

Neither man could speak clear English. The had a HEAVY Dominican accent. And when we said we couldn't understand what they were saying they just spoke louder!! They proceeded to come in to the kitchen, go under the sink cabinet and literally throw her items across the kitchen floor. Then unscrewed the old dishwasher, pulled it out and said something about the electrical outlet. We have no way idea what was being said. The pushed it back in. Screwed it in place and left. Her grandmother had to call and reschedule someone to come back out 3 days later to either explain or install. We will see. Awful service. Horrible energy from the 2 workers! I'm not sure how they are still working there!!

She immediately start correcting my verbiage when she knew what I was talking about. I told her that I would come to review some of the facets that were available. She told me that I had to have an appointment to visit there show room. Which she said was not open. She also told me that I had to work through a plumber to visit and purchase items. I told here that I was a license plumber and thanked her for her candor. She hurried off the phone. I guess with an area code of 630 she assumed that I was not a plumber. Or that my articulation with words was not welcomed by her. I was left with the feeling that this southern Illinois plumbing establishment is not people friendly.
