We ordered our appliances just before things got crazy with Covid, and received them approx. 5 weeks later, not bad. We got a good deal on a four-appliance package, competitive with the big-box stores, and rebate available. They also threw in a KitchenAid mixer, which made Therese H. happy. The installers were very good, though some trim pieces taken away for a little adjustment were forgotten, until Therese H. called four months later. And the help promised with paperwork for rebate also was forgotten, so eventually I had to walk into the store to ask for proper documentation. So, in the end, I guess I'd say the sales and installation parts are very good. Hiccups in communication probably can be attributed to busyness and pandemic, and I would shop Mark's again for major appliances. read more

We have purchased replacements for all of our appliances over the past two years from Mark's. Prices are competitive and even better than the box stores. The service was great!! They have struggled as all businesses during the pandemic with supply. We waited over a year for a refrigerator only to find out the manufacturer decided not to make it in black. We chose another brand and they came out to install it in a week. Mark's is a locally owned appliance business and they work hard to earn your business. read more

I contacted Mark's Appliance on June 21, 2024, seeking repair for my ice machine as it was inoperable on my Whirlpool side by side refrigerator. The representative informed there is a Diagnostic fee of $125 and an additional charge for parts and labor. Prior to my scheduled appointment I noticed my refrigerator was sounding very loud and at times there would be a loud clunk that followed. I also noticed the refrigerator side was freezing my groceries. I contacted Mark's prior to my scheduled appointment and informed them of my additional issues. I made sure that I emphasized my refrigerator was extremely loud and that I really notices it while at work due to it being on the other side of the wall from my home office. The technician came out on June 28, 2024, and informed that the refrigerator was working fine and he saw no issues because he couldn't recreate the sound and the readings were within normal range and that it was okay and refrigerators may sound loud at time but all readings were fine. The technician did provide pointers of not placing items against the back wall of the fridge. During the visit the technician replaced the ice machine. I was instructed to give the ice machine 24-hours to work at its full capacity. I noticed after 24 hours it barely produced any ice. I contacted Mark's informing I was still having the same issues. They informed to give it another day and if it persisted after that to give them a call. I also informed my refrigerator was still very loud and that I was concerned something was going on with it . I contacted Mark's once again and they sent the same technician July 5, 2024, and upon his review he informed me that another ice maker was needed. I continued to stress of the loud sound of the fridge and it seeming off. I was once again reassured my reading was within range and that the new ice maker should fix my issues. The technician ordered a new ice maker and informed once received he would be the one to install it. Prior to the part being received my refrigerator started to run hot on the fridge side and I noticed items on the top shelf of my freezer melting. I left a message for them informing of the new issues. I received a call back the same day informing the ice maker had arrived and that the earliest they could get me in was Friday. I explained this is a complete hardship and I thought would be considered as an emergency appointment. I informed Mark's that both the refrigerate and freezer were running hot. They stressed the earliest appointment would be Friday. I stressed that this was a complete hardship for me as my dietary restrictions being a disabled Veteran. At one point while speaking with a representative I was asked if I needed to go with another company for service because they were unable to help me. I wholeheartedly said "No", I wanted them to fix it but was taken aback that me not having a functional refrigerator when I continuously stressed something was going on with my refrigerator. After pleading with the representative I was given an appointment two days later. This appointment would be the technicians last appointment for his work day. The appointment was July 31, 2024, when the technician arrived he took temps of both my refrigerator and freezer. Refrigerator= 70 degrees and Freezer=40 degrees. The technician then contacted Whirlpool and they informed him a sensor for automatic defrost was inoperable and needed to be replaced. The technician then attempted to contact his management for ordering the part. The technician also informed he was completing a force defrost and that once it was defrosted my unit would perform at a normal rate. The freezer section appeared to have gotten cooler before he left but the fridge was still hot. I was then informed to allow up to 24-hours for it to work at its optimal temperature. Hours went by and the freezer was at a standstill and not getting cooler from when he left and the fridge was hot. I contacted the technician the next morning and was informed to contact Home Depot as they could authorize a replacement. Nothing more, nothing less. At this point I was completely devastated. I couldn't believe I had just been dismissed in such a manor. I lost a refrigerator/freezer full of food. I do wonder if my concerns were taken seriously could this have been prevented. If by chance a thorough diagnostic was completed at the initial visit. I had to run out and purchase a mini-fridge and big cooler along with multiple bags of ice. I did receive a call from Mark's Appliance on August 7, 2024, informing me that the part (sensor) was in . This was well beyond a bad experience. read more

If I had looked into all of the negative reviews I would have done differently. Staff is inept, inefficient, and rude. Needless to say the owner is a direct reflection of his staff. Mark Bradley shows nothing as an example of what his employees should be. Walk away, go to Lowe's at least they have people willing to wait on you. read more

Kevin is who I've been dealing with for our oven order. He left me on hold for long periods of time checking on my order which was ordered 4.5 mos ago. Low and behold the oven is in the store. No call to schedule installation. No telling how long the oven has been there. He is always rude on the phone and has no Customer Service skills. We wanted to give our business to a local company as we like to support our community. Never again will we buy from Mark's Appliances. We will take our business elsewhere. read more

We went looking for a new stove and visited the usual big places. We couldn't find what we wanted and decided to try Mark's. I'm so glad we did! They had just what we wanted and gave us a great deal. Our sales person was very knowledgeable, way more the the big places. He took awesome care of us and it was delivered within a few days! I love my new stove! If you are in need of appliances, I highly recommend Mark's. The repair guy came back today and fixed the dishwasher. Hopefully this is the last time for awhile. So we have a happy ending. I want to make an amendment to the prior update. It turns out the electrician who checked our House didn't do a good job! I will be reviewing them next! Anyway, it ended up being our electricity and not the two dishwashers! I feel terrible about this and want everyone to know that Mark's appliance is a wonderful store! read more

Booked out far in advance. Repairman came at the appointed time 3 weeks out and was clean. We had two appliances serviced and in the end neither issue was fixed. We called and they did come back out to take a second look and was told I'd get a call back after he left. Never got a return phone call and paid as much as a new appliance would've cost. read more

Should have checked Yelp reviews before shopping here. Funny how the reviews on their web page are all 5 stars. 1. The sales guy(Kevin) lied to us and said the refrigerator was waiting in a warehouse to ship to Edwardsville and should only take a couple of days. It took over a month. 2. Calls to Mark's Appliance to the salesman to check on the status of our order were not returned and he was never actually able to be reached. 3. When I finally got a hold of a different salesperson, they told me that it was in a warehouse in Memphis and should be here any day and then hung up on me. 4. Since we didn't have a refrigerator for 3 weeks, we called to see if we could get a loaner fridge and they told us they would check into it and call us back and that if they could, they would charge us $50 for the loaner. They never called us back. 5. Two days after that last call, we got a call from a delivery driver stating our purchased refrigerator was ready to be delivered within the next two hours. We were at work and couldn't accept delivery. Called back to reschedule a delivery hopefully the next day and were told that it would take another 10 days to get it to us. 6. The refrigerator works great, but I am still picking pieces of blue film off from around the doors where the install guys should have removed it but did a very poor job. Overall a terrible experience start to finish. Shop somewhere else. read more

Washer was broken for 3 weeks while they supposedly waited on a part to be delivered which never came and they never communicated unless I called them and asked about it. We ordered a refrigerator from Mark's Appliance and was given 3 different dates for pickup and yet we still don't have the refrigerator and they still have no idea where it is or when it will be there. We ordered it March 22 and it is now April 15th. We got rid of our old refrigerator when we were expecting the new one to come in about 2 weeks or so ago. We are not happy at all with this place. I'd suggest going to a well known established business that has a chain of stores so you won't have to deal with the headache that we are going through. I had Mark's come and work on my dryer. The guy did what he could but said it wouldn't last long. So I purchased a new washer and dryer it was on back order until October but they said if my dryer went out they would loan me one. My dryer went out I made three calls before I got a return call and only then because I said I was going to get a refund. He hemmed and hawed and said they only do loaners for refrigerators. I told him my salesman said if my dryer went out they would loan me one. He said he would check on it and call me back. That was a week ago and I haven't heard from him yet. I got my money back and had to settle for a washer and dryer I did not want. read more

The salesman that I dealt with was so rude, that I have no words to describe his behavior. So shop there with no worries that you will have great service. I have very mixed opinions. Service is good, but they only have a limited items in stock, which means my appliance had to be ordered. They gave me a loaner fridge, which I am very thankful for, but it is too small. It has been almost a month now because it was on back order. It finally came in yesterday. No one called me yesterday to set up delivery. I call them, and they cannot get it to me until Monday, another 5 days. I understand the back order is out of their hands, but I have been waiting so long that another 5 days to wait for delivery is just not acceptable. read more

From a buying/pricing perspective Mark's is one of the of the best places around and will match the box stores, so that is good. From as "service" perspective, my 2 star is probably extraordinarily high. We purchased all new appliances (washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, stove, refrigerator. Stove came damaged and we were given an option of new part or new stove and that the new part would be here in 2 days and new stove in over a month. We opted for the part, and after 6 weeks part is in. We also shared measurements (took a picture) of where our refrigerator goes and were advised it would fit, which it didn't. They took our cabinet and has had that for 2 weeks. They were supposed to come and when I called they "forgot". This is a process the goes back to middle of December and their excuse is "we are slammed". Also interesting there is a strong disconnect between the sales team and the service team that does not help things. End of the day, I cannot recommend their service department. read more

I cannot begin to explain our disappointment with Mark's Appliance. We vastly prefer to shop small businesses so we chose them over the nearly adjacent big box stores. We purchased over $8k in appliances for a new kitchen from them - three weeks later we were contacted for an install date. As the install progressed - the technicians became aware that they were missing the parts to properly install the oven hood. They left that day saying they would be back within a day or two. A WEEK passed with NO communication from them. After multiple calls, I finally got a call back from the technician who informed me they did not carry the part for the GE hood, it had to be ordered from someone else and was now backordered. Although surprised to hear that they do not carry the proper parts to install the appliances they sell - we again waited weeks for them to return to our home and finish the install with no communication. Nothing. Finally, we got a hold of someone who came to our house and suggested a "fix" that would eliminate us waiting longer for the missing piece. Desperate to finish this kitchen - 7 weeks later - we agreed. We set an install date and time...no one showed. Set another date and time...no one showed. We are STILL WAITING for our install to be completed - months after we ordered with them. We are SO disappointed with the service we received. Love the appliances - but will never, ever shop with or recommend Mark's again. We would already have a kitchen up and running had we gone with a big box store. read more

We had a very unprofessional experience at Home Depot, to purchase a new kitchen appliance suite. Our old oven failed to light, we had a very special family dinner scheduled for November 23rd. We went to Home Depot and purchased a kitchen suite, due to the fact that Home Depot promised to deliver the suite on Wednesday November 21st. We paid the total bill, didn't need to finance the kitchen suite. On the day they stated that they would call us with a time range for delivery. Getting home, I asked my wife if Home Depot had called with a timeframe. She told me no contact had been received from Home Depot. She called Home Depot and they stated that the appliances were in stick and would be there for delivery. We did not a call, so again my wife had to call them. This time Home Depot told us that GE had not delivered the appliances to them. The next day we were told that would have to wait until 11/23/2019 for delivery. We were informed that they could not promise delivery until the day of the party. They cancelled the order and refunded our delivery and installation cast, and we would have to wait for a check to be issued. We called Mark's the day looking for a miracle on the suite. They jumped right on the solution, we were able get the suite delivered on time. The crew that delivered and installed our suite were extremely professional and very proficient. They had all the old appliances taken out loaded and the suite installed tested and ready to go in less than 21/2 Hours. I will be giving all our and friends business in the future. read more

Can I give them 10 stars please? They exceeded expectations in the two main points that count, price and customer service. We bought a GE stove there. Price: they matched the sale price of a big box store nearby, even though the big box store didn't even have that model in stock. Both big box stores couldn't even get one for weeks; Mark's got theirs in within 2 days. In terms of customer service -- all I can say is wow and I'll never go anywhere else for an appliance. First, our stove died just before a houseful of people showed up for the holidays. Big store: "sucks to be you." Mark's: "We will move heaven and earth, reschedule some deliveries that aren't time critical, and make sure we get it to you." THEN...the original one I ordered didn't fit the space. Seriously? With a big box store I would be SOL; Mark's ordered another that, on paper, was the same size, but the cooktop was configured a little differently, and voila, it fit. They didn't charge for ordering, trying to fit one, taking it back, then redelivering another one. Can you imagine the nightmare that would have been with the big box store? I offered to pay for the extra delivery and they said, naw... Last: it's now 9 months later. Fan sounds a little loud to me, not sure it's an issue, but could they check it out? Sure.... no problem... they'll come by to assess. There is no way on earth someone from the big box would just "run by" when they can, and even if they did I'd wonder if they were sending someone knowledgeable. I'm just floored by their great customer service and product knowledge, and would highly encourage anyone in the area to try them before ordering elsewhere. Just completely superior. read more

I went to Home Depot to look at appliances, and printed out my wish list. I took it to Mark's and he gave me a lower cost for the same kitchen appliances.
