As first time pool owners, we had a lot of questions. Dan assessed and fixed a small air leak in one of our valves and took time to help us better understand the basics of our pool. Our heat pump needed a complete replacement. Pool-X-Perts was priced competitively and worked with us to integrate our pool automation system as well! It was a great experience, the heat pump went in without problem, and we couldn't be happier! Lastly, a short time after the heat pump was replaced, Dan followed up to make sure everything was still working well and we were satisfied with our install -- of course we were! Also offered us breaks on replacement parts because he deals direct with the manufacturers than going retail. He and his wife have just about become part of the family. They are also very pet friendly as well and when they leave they do not leave your pets trapped in a portion of the yard and also do not leave gates open. If they damage property they own up to it and notify you of the problem and offer to fix the issue, they even will leave you a rubber ducky when they come by to let you know they've been there. I only give a negative when a business really deserves it. I don't do reviews on that other browser site, nor social media. As you can see, I previously gave CK them a 5-star review, but my recent experience deserves an honest and factual update. Short version: Please get a 2nd estimate! Long version: Our pool pump was leaking bad and needed a replacement. A CK tech came out promptly, reviewed our situation, and said they would email an estimate. I thought the estimate was not only high, but very high. I got 2 other estimates and they were far less. Upon further research, I noticed CK hoped to charge us an $800 markup for the pump itself and charge us DOUBLE for the separate controller. I completely understand a markup, as they have to stay in business, but these were outrageous. Then the tech spent a great deal of time telling me he could not even install the new pump unless we agreed to have a very expensive "bonding rod" installed and pulling up our pavers. Since our plumbing runs under that area, I really wanted other opinions before I agreed to such a drastic and expensive change. Well, it turns out we already had a bonding rod there, not 12 inches away from our old, leaking pump. Was this an honest mistake, or something more? I guess that is something for the owner and his tech to decide. So, we used another company, saved over $1,500, did not need our pavers pulled up, nor pay for an unnecessary "bonding rod" that was already there. I once was very happy with Chlorine King but no more. If I had read the owner's responses here, I would have never even called them about replacing our pump in the first place. If he put as much effort into customer service as he does his negative review "defense?" Both he and all of his customers would have a lot less headaches!

I had 3 companies I wanted to priced and Biggest Little Pool was the most responsive in communication and most competitive in pricing. We converse via text and I sent photos and a small video of my pool issue. I preferred that method because I worked 45 mins from the home 8am to 530pm and I didn't want to loose time away from work just to get for a consult especially if I wasnt going to hire them for the repair. I requested that the sand filter be repaired but also was interested in getting a quote for changing to a cartridge system as well fix the old mechanical timer box or upgrade to digital. We discussed pros, cons, likes and dislikes and agreed to upgrade to cartridge system but repair the mechanical timer box. After agreeing to paying half upfront they were out early the following morning. They did the job with no issues or concerns and left. My spouse didn't even know they left. Which was good because we also getting 3 trees cut down so we were busy. He sent me the invoice for the timer box and the price was what we agreed upon. So I paid that and the balance They was professional, quick, responsive and reasonably priced. If I had to critique one thing I think it would be that hpthey should have offered a tutorial of the new system. The dos and don'ts of cleaning the new cartridge system, especially since we had absolutely no experience with it but I guess that is what YouTube is for. Thanks for the great job.
