We have used Chlorine King to maintain our pool for years and they have always done a great job. As our home is being rebuilt it has been increasingly difficult for Savannah to access the pool and service it. She has gone ABOVE AND BEYOND to get the job done every week and we appreciate her diligent attention as always! read more

Since the owner seems to enjoy trying to "dunk" on negative reviews here, I made sure to do my homework. I've been Yelping for 11 years and only 18% of my 347 reviews have been negative. I only give a negative when a business really deserves it. I don't do reviews on that other browser site, nor social media. As you can see, I previously gave CK them a 5-star review, but my recent experience deserves an honest and factual update. Short version: Please get a 2nd estimate! Long version: Our pool pump was leaking bad and needed a replacement. A CK tech came out promptly, reviewed our situation, and said they would email an estimate. I thought the estimate was not only high, but very high. I got 2 other estimates and they were far less. Upon further research, I noticed CK hoped to charge us an $800 markup for the pump itself and charge us DOUBLE for the separate controller. I completely understand a markup, as they have to stay in business, but these were outrageous. Then the tech spent a great deal of time telling me he could not even install the new pump unless we agreed to have a very expensive "bonding rod" installed and pulling up our pavers. Since our plumbing runs under that area, I really wanted other opinions before I agreed to such a drastic and expensive change. Well, it turns out we already had a bonding rod there, not 12 inches away from our old, leaking pump. Was this an honest mistake, or something more? I guess that is something for the owner and his tech to decide. So, we used another company, saved over $1,500, did not need our pavers pulled up, nor pay for an unnecessary "bonding rod" that was already there. I once was very happy with Chlorine King but no more. If I had read the owner's responses here, I would have never even called them about replacing our pump in the first place. If he put as much effort into customer service as he does his negative review "defense?" Both he and all of his customers would have a lot less headaches! read more

I wanted to give a shout out to Dusten for keeping our pool clean and looking pristine after each weekly visit before and after the most recent hurricanes. He does a great job and is always friendly and knowledgeable on how to maintain the chemicals and our equipment. Couldn't be happier! Thanks Chlorine King. read more

I am so thankful for Chlorine King!! I was using the wrong company for so long and I'm glad I made the switch. They are incredibly reliable, thorough and responsive. Dusten is a ROCKSTAR!!! Our pool has never been so clean thanks to Dusten! read more

Chlorine King Pool Service - Pool & Hot Tub Service Near Me - Seminole, Florida

After reading positive reviews, I switched my cleaning service to Chlorine King and have been so happy. They provide a thorough summary of everything they did on each visit. And unlike my former cleaner, they cleaned all of the pollen at the waterline on the tiles. My pool has not look cleaner. I'm so happy I made the switch. read more

Ever been wondering, why they have pretty much only 5* reviews? Here we go: You leave anything below 5* stars and they will come after you like they are coming now after me and then of course most honest reviewers step back and delete all the 1,2,3,4 star reviews. Don't believe them one single word. I have the proof of everything if you like. I can show you the rust stains, I can show you the numbers which are 20x off and I can show you their guy (D...) 90% of the time being on the phone with one hand and pretending to wipe our pool with one hand and no ... he's not talking to other customers, but doing all personal calls (last time e.g. about neighbors complaining about his children ... oh wow ... I'm surprised ....not), so ther's absolutely no time you can ask him any questions about your pool. This happened pretty much all the time and because of that and all the numbers constantly off (e.g. phosphate 20x over the limit and they didn't even check or do someting until a guy who knows their boss insisted on checking !!! Imagine that!) I left the readings from Leslies at the pool filter, which I took in a professional manner according to pool water testing standards (here in the attached picture 3 days after their service) they gave me and you can be sure that their thousands of $$$ equipment is way more accurate than their guy with sunglasses and constantly on the phone with private talks, on the pool pump and oh wow ... after that things went downhill even more because he realized that I discoverd that he was not taking care of our pool chemistry in a professional manner. He almost never looked at me even when I stepped outside and looked into his direction for minutes looking for a small chat about the pool. Once I was lucky to be able to talk to him about white cloudy stuff sticking to the wall and he was just saying it needs probably a resurfacing. We almost wasted $10k because of his lack of knowledge because with lower phosphate levels this problem has disappeared completely. Worst company on the planet. They ruined our pool completely. They could never get rid of old stains and only produced new ones with the chemistry always being totally off. I already left a honest review and they started harrassing me and talking badly about me and lying about their service which was horrible. I guess this will happen again. They have really no clue about maintaining pools. Better check your numbers on your end. If you get rusty spots or other stains ... oooops ... yeah now you know where they are coming from. 160$ for something I can do 10x better? Probly they use super cheap low quality products or just not enought to maximize profits at your cost. Don't listen to them. My review is totally honest. I can only recommend to stay away from them if you don't want them to totally ruin your pool. read more

Chlorine King Pool Service - Pool & Hot Tub Service Near Me - Seminole, Florida

Horrible service and even worse customer service. As you can see in the pictures they provided service on 06/15/2022 and the results were "sparkling clean" with items found "NONE", but you can clearly see in the pictures that the pool was awfully green and after we added salt you can see how the bottom of the pool was dirty showing that it was not properly vacuumed. My guest complained about the condition of the poll so I called and emailed the company on Saturday morning and they did not reply to any of my emails or calls. On Monday, they sent someone to check the pool without any notice, trespassing the property and causing inconvenience to my tenants. Later on Monday, they email us, arguing that it was our fault that the pool was not cleaned. The owner Savanna Taylor was defensive, aggressive, and she did not listen nor read our emails where I clearly explained that they did not do their job nor informed us about any issue with the pool. I already paid the full month of June and she refused to give any money back. read more

Ian was great! He even helped me turn off my spa heater to avoid extra costs when I wasn't there. Would definitely use them again in the future! read more

This company is outstanding. Everyone I have dealt with, from Erik to Ian and everyone in between, has been outstanding, transparent, and extremely knowledgeable. They have handled everything from regular pool cleaning to complete replacement of my system to the installation of an electric pool heater. Hiring vendors is always difficult, because you might not know you made the wrong decision until after something goes catastrophically wrong. You can rest assured hiring Chlorine King. They are the epitome of old school customer service, when everything else seems to be moving in the opposite direction. read more

So they made some excuse to not give me service because they were short staffed. The guy lied about having put salt in the pool for the chlorinator and when I asked if he could or if it was included in the service they said they couldn't come out anymore or there was some salt shortage. Gives me the impression that they want to spend the least possible on services to you. The guy came out and did the barest minimal. I have a screen so the pool stays pretty clean, so not that there was much to do anyway. I can't justify $160 per month for basically nothing. Not even the salt that the pool is supposed to have. They also made me replace a $1000 chlorinator that was working just fine. Now I have to go put the old one back or try to sell it or something. read more

We have used Chlorine King for many years and I recommend them all the time!! They are super responsive, knowledgeable, and everyone is professional! As an example, my pool pump went down before the storm that just came through and I emailed before they were open seeing when I could get in. I figured it might be a few days because of storm damage and Tiffany got back with me right after they opened and said she would get me on the schedule. A little while later, Ian was letting me know he was on the way to check it out. He diagnosed the issue, drove to St. Pete (I'm in Seminole) to get the part and fixed it by just after 12pm!! Now I can drain my pool! Patrick is another stellar employee and helped with another issue a few months ago. Try them! You will NOT be disappointed! read more

New company for us after using ClearTech and Pinch-a-Penny (they damn sure do...), but Erik and Ian seem to be doing an excellent job. They are very professional, polite, knowledgeable, and responsive. They have my current "vote". read more

Erik has been amazing. After reading several of his seemingly countless five star reviews, I contacted him for a quote and he came out immediately. My first impression was that he was friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and completely honest. I needed some repair work done and he came up with a resolution that didn't drain my bank account. Ian on his team is punctual, polite, and also knowledgeable. I love that Erik sends service notes, receipts, pictures, etc. via email and has customer portal to pay online - so easy and convenient! I know I'm in good hands with Erik the Chlorine King! :-) read more

We recently purchased a home in Old NE with a pool & wanted to replace some of the equipment. As things progressed, we realized not only that we needed a new pump, blower, light replacement but had numerous leaks and ancient electrical panels. Erik was amazing and facilitated all of the repairs needed, helped us relocate all of our pool equipment, made amazing recommendations as to what new equipment to purchase (replacing 20 year old pool equipment), converted our system to saltwater plus adding automation. We could not be happier. Our pool looks amazing, Erik and his team did all they could to facilitate any requests or changes we had along the way. Our pool is now beautiful, easy to use - we are thrilled. Please give them a try; you will not be disappointed! read more

Erik from Chlorine King responded to our service request immediately via email, came out for an estimate the very next day and has been great. He's extremely knowledgable in his field and had our pool looking like new on the first visit. (and it had been very neglected) He was thorough, prompt and very personable. His pricing is very fair and best of all, your satisfaction is his 1st priority. I'd highly recommend his company to anyone needing "any" type pool service. Chlorine King Pool Service - Sparkling after Chlorine King pool service - Pool & Hot Tub Service Near Me - Seminole, Florida

I called Erik last year to get an estimate for a new pool pump. We were in the middle of remodeling and he suggested waiting until after we were done putting down new pavers around our pool before installing any equipment. He knew he wouldn't be making any profit for quite some time yet still took the time to explain everything to us and what we needed as far as equipment. Cut to last week when I called back, he was just as nice, just as patient with our questions and the price on everything we needed was still the same as the original quote. It only took 3 days from phone call to new pool pump! Not everyone out there is just out to make as much money as possible off of people, but are actually passionate about what they do. I would actually give more stars if I could. read more

Wow, I'd give more stars if I could. Ian was a tremendous help and very informative about how my system works. We just bought this house and it is the first time I have had an inground pool. Ian took the time to explain how things worked with all the valves, controls, and general information. We had some repairs that were needed, that weren't disclosed by the previous owners. We ended up with a little over a thousand dollars in repairs which was better than I expected and under the original estimated ball park prices. This business is top notch, professional, courteous, and very communicative about any delays or issues. They also were accepting business when several other companies said they were too busy, even though they are too. We will definitely recommend to friends and will use them for any future needs. read more

Erik was extremely informative while checking out our pool. We thought it was a serious issue but he showed us somethings we were doing wrong, checked the system and got us on the right path. Had an issue with my chlorinator and thought it under warranty still, called my ex pool guy/installer of the iChlor, and he refused to come out and help resolve issue. I went on line, read many reviews about many pool companies. Many. Every review I read about Chlorine King Pool Service was encouraging so I gave Erik a call. WOW. Talk about a great experience! After a few emails back and forth he said he'd come out and take a look. He came. He looked and he conquered. Erik took care of my problem/pool/mind like nobody ever! If you're looking for a great company, honest, informative and just flat out amazing customer service, then call Erik at Chlorine King Pool Service in Largo. I'm glad I did. read more

We just moved into a new house and had no idea how to take care of our pool. We made a few calls to different companies and are just thrilled we found Erik with Chlorine King. We have used him for cleaning as well as the incredibly helpful "Pool School". Here is why he's the best: - He is prompt and professional. - He is like a chemist, clearly explaining to us about acid/chlorine/PH and how to keep your pool sparkling. - He was able to walk us through our chemicals and equipment, helping us to be more comfortable in taking care of our pool - Even after pool school, he always answers my texts quickly when I think I ruined our pool - His prices are very fair and reasonable We are choosing to take care of our pool on our own, thanks to Erik's help, but because of his knowledge and professionalism, we will use him for anything we need for the pool that we can't handle ourselves. Highly recommend Erik and all of his services! read more

Erik stepped in after a prior pool repair was not able to be completed, and we were left searching for a qualified person. We found Erik at Chlorine King after searching for reputable service and repair specialists for a neglected pool in a property we purchased. Erik was responsive, helpful, professional, and on time. He offered us a great referral for one aspect of the work that he felt a colleague could better handle, and he installed a new pump and walked us through the use of the pool and pump. Erik has also created a great number of videos on YouTube for pool owners...what a great service! If you are looking for a qualified professional, reach out to Erik! read more

BEST POOL SERVICE you can find. Erik is incredibly friendly and professional and provides a great service every single week. He is punctual and thorough and offers the best value in terms of pricing (from what we've found). Our previous pool company was inconsistent with when they serviced the pool and would incorrectly balance the water (giving my wife a rash). Erik fixed everything, the pool looks remarkable and he is happy and willing to teach you whatever you would like to know about pool care (for all the newbies out there). He emails you after EVERY visit a picture of your pool along with the services provided, the pH of the water etc. We definitely recommend THE chlorine king, Erik, to anyone out there. He is a very hard working and honest person, which is hard to find these days. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this company and about Erik. I had a leak in my pool and had tried calling out several companies to figure it out and repair it. Most companies said they could not come out for 6 weeks. Really? It was friggin the end of February! At any rate, I had finally found a company who came out and try to fix it. The employee came out a few times, never accomplished much of anything and then stopped showing up all together. I then ran across Erik's company on yelp and google reviews. I called him and could tell he was the real deal from our first conversation. Eric came out and did a green to blue service. He had my totally filthy pool looking awesome within a few days. Also, being an absentee owner living in another state, I found his service to be a huge peace of mind since I live 8 hours away. He always sent an email detailing his services, as well as time stamped photos from his trip. He was always happy to go above and beyond his "job description". I highly recommend Erik and his company as his rates, service and value are exponentially better than the other companies I looked in to. read more

Erik is very professional and provides excellent pool services! He is reliable and very hard working. He does a thorough and perfect job every single time. Awesome customer service! The owner (Erik) and his crew do an excellent job of keeping us informed of when service will be completed (example, changes in schedule when it is a holiday week). I LOVE CHLORINE KING!!! I found Erik on Yelp when I was looking for a pool company to diagnose why my pool was leaking. I emailed Erik on a Sunday and was surprised that he answered almost immediately. Based on the information I gave him, he was fairly certain that I needed a leak detection company and said he didn't want to waste my money be having him come out- how many companies tell you that! I had a bunch of other questions about my pool that Erik continued to answer (in-depth, some with diagrams) for me throughout the day. I was so impressed with Erik that I asked him to come out the next weekend for a session of "pool school"- basically him teaching me all about my pool. I found him to be professional, informative and extremely knowledgeable so much in fact that I decided to ditch maintaining the pool myself and hired Chlorine King on the spot. Now I'm not stuck at the pool store every weekend. Erik comes out once a week and my pool has never looked better. I especially like his post treatment email with a timestamped photo of the pool and chemical report. Highly recommended!!! read more
