I hired Gambino electric to install an electric vehicle charger, install two outlets (one inside…read moreand one outside) and hang two light fixtures. We agreed on a fixed price of $1,650 for the electric vehicle charger, $350 for the outlets, and the light fixtures would be free due to the fact that I was bundling all of the services. The electrician was unable to successfully install the EV charger. At the time of the install, he blamed it on a faulty charging unit (despite the fact that it was brand new). I found out later after hiring a second electrician to complete the install that Gambino broke the original unit. He opened the charging unit when he was not supposed to, attempted to stretch a wire that was not meant to be stretched, and broke connecting pins. He also lost the majority of the screws that held the front plate of the unit to the back and did not replace them. I had to get a replacement unit and pay the new electrician to install it. As a result, I had to pay an additional $225 for the EV unit installation. Gambino refused to accept any responsibility and would not offer a refund. In addition, despite me having provided clear photos and instructions of the outlet installation, he attempted to raise the price from $350 to $600 at the time of install. He also demanded that I give him a 5-Star Google review in order to keep his promise to install the lights for free, otherwise he would charge an additional $150. Furthermore, Gambino failed to properly ground a wire when hanging one of the light fixtures. I had to have a second electrician fix that issue as well.

I had several electrical outlets in my kitchen suddenly die on me on a Sunday. I intially tried to…read morereplace the outlet I thought was the culpret but to no avail. I called John Gambino Electric on a Monday and expected a 24-hour turnaround but was pleasantly surprised that they could send a technican out in the afternoon. The tech was very friendly, and after explaining my issue, he quickly tracked down the problem to a different outlet that had somehow arced inside the wall from a loose connection and partially melted the outlet. He replaced the melted outlet and assisted with making sure the outlet I had replaced would not fall prone to the same issue. As a new homeowner having dealt with several repairs already, I appreciated the quick turn around and the pricing was very fair. I will definitely use John Gambino for all of my future electrical needs.

Mechanics, plumbers, contractors and.... electricians are among those we rely on in stressful situations. The last thing you need is doubt, uncertainty and worry you may be dealing with someone unethical and unreliable. I count my blessings I happened upon Sandor Electric. I needed electrical work done at my home and at the time didn't have a regular electrician I could rely on. Sandy came highly recommended from a co-worker, who assured me his work was top-notch, thorough, reasonably priced and that he handled himself in a professional manner. Boy were they ever on the mark. Sandy came out to solve a wiring problem I was having with my garbage disposal, and he remedied it quickly. So quickly I asked if he could help with a few other electrical issues I was having. Not only did he make sure he fixed them so they operated safely and reliably, he also gave me some advice and suggestions regarding a ceiling fan I was having some problems with. That was the moment I knew I had an electrician I would be forever indebted to, one I could call on when I needed quality service. I'm convinced other electricians would have seen an opportunity to take me to the cleaners, to do work I didn't need but not Sandy. He's old-school, he takes care of his customers and isn't in it for the quick, fast money. He's my go-to guy from here on out. Not only am I thankful but I am relieved I found him. I know I never need be concerned an electrician is going to get over on me. That alone is worth more than I can even imagine. Peace of mind indeed. Not only is Sandy fair, honest, personable, funny and prompt.. he is reliable. A switch I had on the garbage disposal failed and he made sure he was out to the house quickly (actually, he was able to come out sooner than my schedule allowed. That NEVER happens.) You can do no better than to call Sandor Electric for all of your electric service needs. He is THEE man!! Thanks Sandy, you have no idea how much I appreciate you and the work you do.

I asked them to diagnose the problem and if the quote to fix the situation was reasonable I would have them do the work. After an hour of disconnecting and reconnecting things, they had no idea the cause of the problem but proceeded to quote $2,000 to run twenty feet of wire up one wall, across the unfinished and down a wall to the non-working outlet. When I tried to explain the fee was too high, one of them proceeded to tell me I was wrong and didn't understand their fee structure. I had to say 'no' three times before they would agree to leave. Then I got a high-pressure call from someone calling himself a manager. I explained the problem and he turned into a used car salesman offering me lots of discounts.
