I hired Gambino electric to install an electric vehicle charger, install two outlets (one inside…read moreand one outside) and hang two light fixtures. We agreed on a fixed price of $1,650 for the electric vehicle charger, $350 for the outlets, and the light fixtures would be free due to the fact that I was bundling all of the services. The electrician was unable to successfully install the EV charger. At the time of the install, he blamed it on a faulty charging unit (despite the fact that it was brand new). I found out later after hiring a second electrician to complete the install that Gambino broke the original unit. He opened the charging unit when he was not supposed to, attempted to stretch a wire that was not meant to be stretched, and broke connecting pins. He also lost the majority of the screws that held the front plate of the unit to the back and did not replace them. I had to get a replacement unit and pay the new electrician to install it. As a result, I had to pay an additional $225 for the EV unit installation. Gambino refused to accept any responsibility and would not offer a refund. In addition, despite me having provided clear photos and instructions of the outlet installation, he attempted to raise the price from $350 to $600 at the time of install. He also demanded that I give him a 5-Star Google review in order to keep his promise to install the lights for free, otherwise he would charge an additional $150. Furthermore, Gambino failed to properly ground a wire when hanging one of the light fixtures. I had to have a second electrician fix that issue as well.

I had several electrical outlets in my kitchen suddenly die on me on a Sunday. I intially tried to…read morereplace the outlet I thought was the culpret but to no avail. I called John Gambino Electric on a Monday and expected a 24-hour turnaround but was pleasantly surprised that they could send a technican out in the afternoon. The tech was very friendly, and after explaining my issue, he quickly tracked down the problem to a different outlet that had somehow arced inside the wall from a loose connection and partially melted the outlet. He replaced the melted outlet and assisted with making sure the outlet I had replaced would not fall prone to the same issue. As a new homeowner having dealt with several repairs already, I appreciated the quick turn around and the pricing was very fair. I will definitely use John Gambino for all of my future electrical needs.

We have been using All Star Electrical Services for all of our electrical work (small and large)…read morefor more than 8 years because of their excellent quality of work, fair pricing, prompt service, efficiency, and friendliness. I especially recommend them for major electrical work, such as installing/repairing the mainline electric cable, whole-house standby generator installation, electric (sub)panel installation, or installing an underground electric connection between our house and the garage. For these jobs, they came as a team of 6-8 people and usually got the job done within one day. Their solutions are not only of excellent quality, they also make it look good. Whatever work they have completed in our house has never given us any issues afterwards. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I gave the operator all of my personal info and then waited an hour for their "master electrician" to call me back. Sean called me back 1.5 hours later to tell me they WON'T come to my area to do the work I explained to 2 different people that I needed. Instead, the "master electrician" texted me, " "we can't drive that far for a repair. We would suggest installing new lights. Anytime we try to repair a light it just spells trouble for both the client and us." Then, when he could tell I was upset (and probably thinking about leaving a bad review), he suddenly offered to come out and fix my fixture for free. Hmm. This company is a SCAM. Do not waste your time calling them. Find a LOCAL electrician. Shame on them.

I have an old house (built in 1920). I recently had my basement waterproofed. It is a good system…read morethat includes 2 sump pumps, each with battery backup pumps, but I was warned that eventually I'd need to get them all off of the same electric circuit. Domenic scoped the job to add dedicated power for each, plus installed 4 outlets and ceiling lights in a dark basement that was mostly lit by hanging task lights with extension cords snaked all around. No more of that! Basement is well lit now with the touch of 2 wall switches installed at both ends of the basement. Domenic also helped get rid of the same snaky extension cord problem in my living room. Old houses weren't built for all of the many electrical devices we use these days. He helpfully suggested 4 outlet boxes thoughtfully placed in the floor along the perimeter: 2 double and 2 quadruple outlet boxes. Finally, he replaced a noisy kitchen ceiling fan for me, and added a brand new ceiling fan in the living room which I've always wanted (both fans purchased by me, before he started the job) Here is my bullet list for Garofalo Electric LLC's best qualities, on display through the 2 full days of work he performed for me: * Professional * Courteous * Good listener, willing to adjust the approach based on my suggestions, doing so reasonably, without adding to the cost. * Extremely competent * Extremely efficient * Reliable; says what he will do and does what he says * Reasonable and affordable. I highly recommend Garofalo Electric! Domenic will be my go-to for all things electrical in my dear, old house!
