Had a number of electrical projects in my new townhouse and quickly got a response, and estimate from Mark Ruhl. I admit to being a little leery because two of the items on the estimate were "diagnostic"--which could mean any charge once the problem was found. I'm delighted to say that the problems were minor and fixed on the spot by my technicians Tim & Ernie who worked quickly and efficiently, always asking for my opinion of where I wanted an outlet or wall sconces to go. When I asked if they could also hook up three of my TVs, they were more than willing and charged me a reasonable hourly fee. The only thing I wish was better was the quality of their drywall patchwork--but since I'm having my drywall/paint contractor address it anyway that was not a big deal and it was expected. So I still rate them very highly for the reasonable price, the fast and professional service, their communication during the project and their willingness to go above and beyond when asked for additional service. When we decided to purchase a generator, we contacted about a dozen electrical contractors regarding options and pricing. We also explored two brands of generators (GENERAC and Kohler). After going through this process there was only one contractor that separated themselves from the others. It was Mark Ruhl. He provided a quote and several options and solutions that the other ones didn't see or weren't interested in solving. He also made himself available to discuss when it was convenient for our family. There is nothing that can take the place of professionalism. I had had a few estimates prior to my interaction with MT Ruhl and there was absolutely no comparison. The introduced themselves, were professionally dressed, well mannered and actually listened to what I was envisioning as far as the work I needed to have done. They did not interrupt me but once I finished, they provided their input and together we came to a decision about the best way to approach the project. I was given a quote and that's what it was when they completed the work. On the day of actual service they contacted me and let me know their ETA, which allowed me, the customer the flexibility to go about my day. I called M.T. Ruhl because I lost power to half of my house. They were able to send a technician (Tim) out within a couple of hours of my call. He found the issue within 20 minutes. He explained to me one of my ariel service connections had burnt up. Tim had my house back up and running within 30 minutes of being there, I was very impressed with his professionalism and willingness to explain in detail the work he preformed, and gave me fair price. While he was here he also did a full inspection on my service equipment and installed a whole house surge protector, and fixed an outdoor outlet that had fallen off our wall.
