This place was pretty cool. They have board games and a children's play area. They sell food but the main draw for our group was trying the drinks. Not a big drinker myself, I asked for the sweetest thing on the menu which happened to be something not officially on the menu yet: the Morgan's Hurricane Slushie! It was indeed delicious. My friends enjoyed their drinks as well and we played a game I'd never seen but was good at, something with hooks and a string. All in all this was a fun place to just sit and chill. read more

Any place I leave a mediocre review for, particularly new businesses, I always try to visit again 6mos or so later (if they're still in business) and see what's changed. I did that at Maroon Brew recently. The ambiance is still the same, place feels like a daycare center. 2-4yr old kids running around loudly around adults drinking ok-ish/unrefined beer that tastes like it came from someone's garage. The food still looks quite tasty, but once again I couldn't bring myself to order anything given the Chuck-E-Cheese feel of the environment. They did seem to be about half full on a weeknight which is probably a good sign for their business, just not an environment that I (or any of my child rearing peer group for that matter) care to go drink a beer in... if that makes sense. read more

I didn't like the atmosphere. The lighting was too bright and it operated more like a cafeteria than a restaurant. Our table kept shaking despite my husband trying to level it. We ordered brats and fries. The brats were good but the fries were hard and crunchy. The place closed at 9 which we knew ahead of time but 15 minutes before we were reminded they were closing. I get that but it was not an experience we will do again. On the positive side the staff was very friendly. read more

This brew pub is woman-owned and she is also the brewmaster. I mention this because this industry is under-represented by women and they are great brewers. My wife and I had 2 flights that included all the beers on tap. They have a diverse selection of styles, and each style tasted as it should. So, that means you should find something to your liking. Not into beer? That's ok, they have wine, as well as sodas and lemonade. The food menu is respectable. I had a veggie smash burger and my wife had a traditional smash burger. Both were delicious and went well with the beers. The staff is super friendly and goes out of their way to make you feel welcomed and taken care of. The space is open, spacious, and clean. Collierville is a better place for having this brew pub. read more

Collierville has been waiting for a brewery tap room and it shows. A busy crowd showed up for the second weekend and the staff handled it well. The beer is good. I had the wheat and the spouse had the hazy IPA. The food - well it's not a restaurant. I was happy to see multiple vegetarian options. I don't know if they're looking to upgrade the food, but there are small things that could make a big difference. I had a veggie dog. It was a hotdog on a white bun. There are relish and mustard packets. Really not even ballpark fancy. A buttered and grilled bun and relish and mustard in condiment bowls would be a definite improvement. The fries were bordering cold The spouse had a salad with chicken. It looked nice and the dressing looked homemade. I hope Collierville continues to support this business. read more

We decided to try this local spot on 7/10/25. They're supposed to be known for their local brews but we went to try the food. I had a smash burger which was pretty tasty...my wife had the chicken tender sandwich which she rated a 5 out of 10...just blasé and with no taste to it. Both came with fries which might have been the worst fries we've ever had. Almost cold and overly salted, they seemed to be an after thought just to put something else on the plate. I had a canned soft drink and they don't ever provide a cup with ice. Maybe the beers are really good but kinda doubt we'll be back if the food is not up to par. read more

I am guessing this is about my 8th visit. I've only eaten 3 times - smash burger and Germantown dog (twice). The food was very good as far as hotdogs and hamburgers go. I've tried most of the beers through flights and nothing disappoints. My favorites are the IPAs, lecile's milk stout and the brown ale. Unfortunately the brown ale was my absolute favorite, but it is no longer in the current available options. Fingers crossed they bring it back. It's the first thing I look for each time. Service has always been friendly! Two things that kept me from rating a 5. - food selection- while I understand the menu as is, I'd prefer more healthy options and food selections. While I love to have a couple beers a day, I can't eat hot dogs, hamburgers and fried chicken strips very often. It's hard to come here just for a beer if I am not going to eat (this leads into my second comment) - atmosphere - totally get the concept, and if my kids were in grade school or younger, I wouldn't be commenting on this. read more

Beer is a solid 5. Service is a hit or miss and understandably so as they are still new. The few times we have stopped in, you can see employee training happening in real time. Food is a 3. The variety of hot dogs ordered were tasty but a bit overpriced for what came. Fries on all meals were cold and soggy. I have no doubt these kinks will be ironed out. I will start by saying it's a nice place, the food was excellent (best hot dog I have had in the area. My daughter had a great burger. BUT, they dropped the ball on drinks. Soda is served in a can which would be ok if it was cold but they were barely cold. The water that did not come from a purchased bottle was warmer than the drinks. Then, we are told there is no ice. My husband and I were looking so forward to this Maroon Brew opening as we have visited every brewery in the Memphis area multiple times and this is the closest to our home. After 3 visits to this place, we are probably done for a while. The beer is good and the food is not bad (sometimes it arrives cold), but the staff has zero personality. They don't seem to know much about the beer or willing to help much. They are just order takers. On multiple occasions I would order 2 different beers and when they were handed to us, the employee would just set them down, not tell us which beer each was. Also, this is good for some bad for others. It is VERY kid friendly. Don't get me wrong, we love kids, but ours are grown and when I go out to have a few beers and relax, I prefer not to have kids running around and babies crying. It is their business and they can do what they want and if it is working for them, keep it up. But it is just not the vibe we are looking for in a brewery. So glad this local spot opened! The decor and set up of the dining room is a welcomed addition to the area. The beer is really good. I had the Byhalia Brown and Shelton Sour. Both tasty and had great body. Hotdogs that we had were both tasty as well. The Germantown dog had nice kraut and mustard that is made in house. Chicago dog is not a traditional Chicago dog but is pretty nice as well. The fries are legit good! Pretzel appetizer was also a winner! It was great. The service had a few hitches and our kids food was a bit of a miss. The kids buttered noodles we dry with no real flavor of butter. I would suggest making them more to order. The Mac and cheese was not a traditional creamy cheese sauce. It was more of a melted cheese that was a bit grainy and oily. This was disappointing based off of the cost of the meals. Everyone agreed we are excited to see the local spot open up and parts of our meals were well worth it. I will be interested to see how the food quality of the two misses improves. Not what I was expecting from a brewery. It was super loud and very open. The service isn't the best the cashier was not very friendly. I did appreciate the vegetarian options on the menu . The food isn't anything too special. My husband said the beer is okay not fantastic but not the worst. We most likely will not be back. read more

Went out to Maroon Brew for their Oktoberfest celebration and it was great! Lots of families there having a good time and every seat was full! I do think they'd benefit from adding a standing bar or two along the empty walls because just standing around while waiting on a seat to open can be a bit of a deterrent for guests, give us something to lean on and drink while we wait lol! I also think music and fans would be beneficial to their outdoor seating, at least for these warmer months. I'd really like to see them expand their outdoor seating in the future if possible too. I tried their milk stout and their sours (blueberry and blood orange) and they were all delicious! I love the multiple flavor options for the sours ! Everyone working there was very friendly and attentive. Their menu was a bit different for the Oktoberfest celebration and it was all fantastic. We did order some of their loaded tots after being there awhile and if there's anything I'd recommend getting from their regular menu, it's the loaded tots. These aren't the frozen tots you're used to, these are thick homemade delicious tots with an amazing homemade dipping sauce (similar to ranch). The tots alone are a reason to come back, wish I took a picture but they were eaten so fast! If you haven't been or are trying to decide on going, I highly recommend trying it out. Ordered the smash burger- very good. Got the Pilsner beer which was good and cold. Was approached as we entered by a nice gentleman, probably the Owner. Ordering was easy, probably 10-15 minute wait. The ambiance is eclectic, casual with 2 large family tables, books and play area for toddlers, and several 4-tops. Only 2 TVs, recommend more. Highly recommend this establishment.
