Korean Style BBQ Ribs

My third year and probably our new tradition for my birthday. Again, another 13 courses and delicious. They made so much amazing modifications for me and my seafood allergy, but my husband got to eat all the seafood he wanted. He loved every bite and said I was missing out lol. Some of the same things from last year and some new ones! Looking forward to next years birthday celebration and coming back!

I've been wanting to try for years... finally got there tonight. Did the off peak tasting (sit 4p out by 530p) for $140pp. I'm a vegetarian so wasn't sure if it would work out but IT WAS DELICIOUS!! Here are photos of vegetarian/regular tasting menu. Service was fantastic and I really appreciate how accommodating they were!

Mixed feelings. Difficult to review. Lands around 3-4 stars, closer to 3. The menu doesn't follow a theme. Some items felt out of place. The food ranged from good to great, we had a nice night doing something different, but the whole night did not feel worth the hefty price tag of $195 per person. What's more, my experience did not match others based on word of mouth. It seemed like the format has changed, perhaps in response to inflation. During our stay, there were only 3 tables occupied in total on a prime Friday night in summer. Over the course of 2 hours, we received wine, 13 small plates described below, a choice of chicken or zucchini Parmesan as an entree, dessert, and espresso. Below is what each person at our table received. I've rated each item out of 5: - Lobster bisque in an espresso mug (5/5) - 1 oyster, 1 shrimp (3/5) - 2 pieces of lobster salad sushi roll (3/5) - 1-inch truffle grilled cheese (5/5) - Half piece of fried sea bass with white wine sauce (5/5) - 1-inch pastrami egg roll (3/5) - 1 mini Kobe beef slider and 3 tater tots (2/5) - 1 Korean style rib with gummy bear garnish (5/5) - 1 piece chicken Madeira (3/5) - 1 fried quail egg on a crostini (3/5) - 1 potato chip with caviar and crème fraîche (4/5) - 2 pieces shrimp scampi with green beans (4/5) - Ravioli with creamed cauliflower sauce (5/5) The entree was a piece of chicken parm, spaghetti, and 2 meatballs to share. The dessert plate (shared) included: - a small ramekin of crème brûlée - 1/4 of a chipwhich - 1/4 of a chipwhich dipped in chocolate - toasted marshmallow over chocolate mousse I inquired if they had coffee and was told espresso was available. We ordered 1, and also requested hot tea. The tea was Lipton - it struck me as a surprisingly cheap choice. When leaving, we received two complimentary containers of meatballs and sauce. Sorry to say we did not enjoy the meatballs, which I know they're known for... In total, a strange eclectic experience. If you're a heavy drinker (we aren't) it could easily be worth the price tag since alcohol is included in the flat fee.

After eating at Maroni's a week ago, I have been really putting off how to review it because I've been truly processing it. There aren't many tasting menu options in the area, to start. So I was pumped to find this place which offers ~16 courses for $195/person. It is cash only (or check), which is strange, but includes tip/tax and unlimited wine. The experience ultimately is fascinating. I was expecting a very Italian-influenced night, which at times it was. However, when you walk in you walk into 1960s UK music/decorations (apparently the owner is a big Beatles fan), which really does not seem to connect to the food. The decor is all in line with this. The tables are cozy, which wasn't an issue for us as the place was about 50% full when we went. In terms of the food, this is also so confusing to me. The following description will be a description of the nonsensical and random chain of events that was the tasting menu. Started with a teacup of lobster bisque, which was lovely (no lobster meat, fine). Then this "medallion" of caviar, which I could've done without. Followed by a California roll, which was fine but seemingly so random (why sushi in an Italian restaurant?). This is when I knew the menu would not really make sense/follow any sort of theme. Oysters and shrimp next. Korean short ribs with a singular gummy bear on top? The rib was fine but I truly have never eaten a heated gummy bear and am not sure I ever wanted to. Kobe beef slider-this was maybe a highlight- with a Heinz packet and 2 tater tots each-strange but delicious. At some point, someone walked around with truffle grilled cheese bites. This was probably my favorite course. Back to courses. Green eggs with a crostini. Pastrami egg roll (this was the most random to me and truly was not well done, why are we putting pastrami in an egg roll?), chicken dish, ravioli, etc. We ended with meatballs and spaghetti. This was told to be the star of the restaurant and really was not. The spaghetti was very much fine. I was a little disappointed by the meatballs, which they give you to send home with. Dessert wise, there was a chipwich, mousse, and Crème brûlée. The first two were great! The latter, meh. The service was excellent and they were really interested in refilling your drinks. Ultimately, I probably wouldn't pay to go back. Or buy the meatballs to go. It's such a strange tasting menu....If you're without other options in the area it's a solid choice if you live/are staying nearby!

The customers are streaming into Maroni. Inside all hands are on deck with at least ten people and the counters and tables are lined with to go bags for their in demand Italian food. At Holiday time take out is big biz in this tiny special place. Take out Christmas Eve, Eve.. 23rd is the last day they are open for pick up. Picked up some delicious food to add to the holiday. And... drop off at friends for good cheer. Every year we bring the same thing to my best friends, best friend and they love it.

Maroni is one of our go to places for a special dinner (anniversary, birthday, valentine's day, etc). We've been here at least 7 times and it never disappoints. They always keep the drinks full, service is always great and they usually surprise you with a few passed courses- meaning you could eat anywhere between 13-18 courses of food. Highlights are always the million dollar potato chip, lobster bisque (we always take a quart home with us), the kobe beef slides, and the gummy bear spare rib. This time we also thoroughly enjoyed the passed truffle grilled cheese (I asked them to bring us seconds which they kindly did).

Apparently Maroni's is known for their tasting menus with many courses. We randomly stopped in and were offered the option to dine a la carte, which we gratefully accepted once we confirmed we had enough cash (they only accept cash or check). Our meals arrived quickly, and everything was fresh and delicious. The duck was the largest and meatiest (no fat) portion I've ever had in my life! The glaze was sweet, and I absolutely loved mixing it into the mashed potatoes. The asparagus was slightly charred, which was unexpected and very good. I'm not sure I could make it through their full tasting, but I would definitely return to dine again. Our server was very kind. We left a tip, but have come to learn they do not expect a gratuity!

We made a reservation for their early tasting menu $125/pp (includes gratuity and drinks). I was late to the rez but luckily they were able to make it at 4:45 instead of 3:45 without up-charging. They had 3 red wine, 4 white wine, and beer for your choosing. The tasting menu was as follows: Caviar and lobster bisque Sushi Bacon Fried fish Fried cheese Korean bbq ribs Kobe cheese burgers Chicken Milanese Shrimp with green beans Italian medley Desserts - creme brûlée, ice cream pop, marshmallow with chocolate ganache, chocolate chip ice cream sandwich Overall, the taste of the plates were good but not a culinary treat by any means. Kind of felt like your standard dishes but we just had more to be able to try. Portions were great and we definitely full by the end of it. My favorites might have been the caviar bite, fried fish, and chicken Milanese. Service was wonderful and timing of the food was appropriate as well. Without the early dining price, I don't think it would have been worth it for us. However, pleasant experience all around.

Food and service was a 10/10! Each and every course was absolutely delicious. Our server was extremely attentive and our glasses were never empty. We all left with full and happy bellies. Would come back in a heartbeat!!!

This is such a unique experience. Food is fantastic. And service is phenomenal. It's worth every bit of the price.

The two different gentlemen behind the counter who assisted me with my order (when I called for information and then when I called back to place my order) were friendly and helpful. Ordering from Amore for Christmas Eve was the best decision I made the entire holiday season! The food arrived on time, hot, and beautifully and perfectly packed, delivered by a smiling delivery kid, and (of course, most important of all!) absolutely delicious! Every bit as good as homemade - - caesar and Greek salads, penne a la vodka (fantastic), stuffed shells (gobbled right up), perfect eggplant Parm, out-of-this-world chicken francese with plenty of yummy garlic knots/bread and it came with plenty of really scrumptious mini-cannoli. I honestly cannot say enough about this catering order from Amore Pizza in East Northport. My all-Italian family was super impressed, and they don't impress easily with Italian food. And the price was really reasonable. Can't recommend highly enough. Oh yeah, and I should also mention - their pizza is great. Plain-old pizza is always great. My family-favorite is the creamy spinach which is really something special. Honestly, Amore is a gem of a place with super-great food - - the folks there are a pleasure to deal with. Ordered 3 specialty slices and asked for them to be medium warm, not too hot. 2 of the slices come on the verge of burnt and scalding hot. Completely dried out with shattering, cracker consistency crust. Inedible. I ask nicely if they could just redo them or offer two regular cheese slices if they don't have the specialty slices available. I even awkwardly apologize and say sorry to be a bother, but can we get this right? The kid behind the counter barely acknowledges me- with a scowl so big it looks as if someone just deleted his Fortnite account- he begrudgingly gives me two of the worst tasting, old slices they could find. No sorry, no thank you, no offer to just give two additional slices and let me keep the two burnt to crisp ones they would have thrown out anyway. I really don't understand what's so hard about putting the slices in the oven for 30 seconds and then taking them out instead of leaving them in for four straight minutes after the customer says " not too hot, please". Congrats on losing a long term customer.
