On a recent gift hunting trip, I walked into a nearby shop to pickup a birthday present for my wife. I found exactly what I was looking for, however I not a single store associate would even acknowledge my presence. I then thought to myself, "I wonder if Sonoma Outfitters would these?" Sure enough they did and had other options as well. And of course, a salesperson helped me navigate through my decision and took the time to answer my every question. The entire time my husband was walking/trying the shoes on we had a bunch of what appeared to be loss prevention folks near us and following us all the way to the paying line. Didn't they feel dumb that we were NEVER going to steal anything and were in fact paying for the shoes. Truly unacceptable, unnecessary, and even felt racist. No further comment.
