Since the new ownership has taken over, they make a big deal every time I walk in. The talking is nonstop, the questions are the same as my last visit. The conversation is monotonous. The haircut takes longer every time I'm there and I'm always shipped off to the new guy. They raised their prices. The barbers are money hungry and constantly pressure me into either a beard shave, ear or nose waxing. They turned quick 10 minute transaction into a 30-minute ordeal. And they just keep talking on and on. No thanks, I'll go somewhere else.

The barber nodded and said, "No problem." Unfortunately, it was clear he either didn't understand or didn't listen. Fifteen minutes later, he handed me the mirror, and none of the things I had specifically asked for were done -- and my hair wasn't even trimmed evenly. On top of being unhappy with a $30 haircut, they don't even accept tap or electronic payments. I was forced to use their in-house ATM, which charged me an extra $3 fee. Overall, very disappointed with the experience and will not be returning.

There were some communication issues due to a slight language barrier and that did cause my beard trim and haircut being not quite what I was asking for but still a quality cut in the end. I wanted a slight taper but was way more a skin fade which doesn't work for me. I didn't mind so much of not being able to have the light banter I am used to with my barbers in the past but did wish it could have been better understood exactly how I wanted things. Still the barber was a perfectionist and everything came out even and sharp. I am sure it will look even better after a week of growth. Today was my first time but I will give them a try again, but my advise even from watching the guy in the chair next to me, is to be prepared to put a little extra effort in communicating what you want.

The barber, whom was spending more time speaking to his coworkers than he was cutting my hair, proceeded to cut off half of my hair and make it very short. It looks terrible. This is not the first time this has happened, though I thought it was simply a fluke the first time. Reading the other reviews here, this seems to be common occurrence. Avoid at all costs.
