Kids don't exactly like getting their hair cut so we knew this was going to be a challenge, but Rudy and the guys couldn't have been more gentle or respectful. He gave my son the best haircut he's had yet and we'll definitely be bringing him back here. We went from tears in the beginning, to smiles and high fives at the end.

We have gone several times to get my 3 year old son's hair cut here. Always syper nuce and understanding. My son cries bloody murder and will not sit still. They are patient and try to do the best quality they can under the rough circumstances of a flailing, screaming toddler. However, today Arnold cut my son's hair. He wipes his tears before he started and asked if he was strong and brave and show him his muacles. He kept my son engaged the entire time and for the first time every he not only sat still but he didn't cry. I highly recommend this shop and definitely if you have a small child ask gor Arnold. read more

Jacobs Barber Shop is one of the best barber shop, if not the best barber shop in town. I have been a continuous customer of Jacobs Barber shop basically my whole life and I will not get my haircut anywhere else. Even before Jacob was at the Bellmore location I still got my haircuts from him a very long time ago and still go to him today. Jacob and his whole staff are great and caring people. They pay attention to fine detail and make sure you are getting the haircut you want. My main man Arnold never disappoints when I go to receive my weekly cut. Great staff, service, and quality. Haven't had a haircut in a while and decided to stop in because it's in the neighborhood and the reviews were good. Sat down with the Russian guy and gave him a few words on what I wanted which was different than the usual flat top, long sliced back on top, shorter on the side and back. Before of could finish speaking he started cutting. At first i thought OMG he's going o cut it all off. But he understood exactly what I wanted and by the time I left I had one of the best cuts I've had in a long time. Great friendly service and a great cut. I plan to go back. read more

I've been going to Jacob's for 10+ years and have always been more than satisfied with my haircut and experience there. Recently I've been getting my haircut done by Arnold, who does a great job and pays very close attention to detail. In other barber shops, I have felt the barbers rush and just try to get it does ASAP to get to the next customer. I have never felt this way going to Jacob's. I feel comfortable getting my hair cut done by any of their barbers. Definitely the best barber shop that I've been to on Long Island! read more

Thank you Jacob! I took my toddler son there for a haircut and it was a perfect, tear-free experience. My son had no trouble staying still in the kids car shaped chair and the staff was very friendly towards him. As a mom, I checked for cleanliness and they passed in my book. My husband went to get a haircut there the next day with Jacob as well. Great job, very experienced. I will always bring my kids here from now on! Jacob's Barbershop is definitely the best place to get your hair cut! All of the barbers are kind, courteous, and listen to you to better understand your hair. They have a special and particular focus on the details, and make sure your hair is styled better than when you came in. Arnold, Robert, and Jacob, as well as the other fantastic haircutters, know what they are doing and how to maximize the value of a haircut. About a year ago was in the market for a new barber since I live in Bellmore. Stumbled upon Jacob's place in the Bellmore Village and love this spot so much so that I bring my son to get a haircut with Ray or Alex. Just this past Sunday walked in and got my haircut with Arnold, second time around and the experience gets better and better. The best barbershop in Bellmore!!! Was new in town and heard about it from a friend. The hair stylists are friendly and very professional. The place is clean like a dentist office. They are child friendly and very patient. I brought my 2yr. old son who is terrified of haircuts, and Jacob the owner gave him a beautiful haircut in their kids corner( which consists of a car chair, kids t.v.etc..) Our son doesn't love the buzzing noise, but Jacob was amazing with him and gave an amazing haircut as well. They have an airplane chair and a car chair that toddlers can sit in- my son loved the airplane chair! Would highly recommend Jacob's for your child's haircut! read more

Jacob and his team listen, have excellent scissor skills, they shave your neck, you get a hot towel every time and you leave the barbershop feeling like a million bucks. great experience but you pay for it greatly. paid 32 dollars for a buzz, with some scissors as well as a facial shave...definetly would go back for the haircut though... maybe i can do without the shave which I'm assuming made it that much more $$. all in all though, i would recommend this place to anyone. great couple of guys, always keep you talking. read more

I always leave Jacob's barbershop feeling relaxed and refreshed, especially after their famous hot towel and massage. I personally go see Jacob for a haircut. The barbers there always do a great job with my sons haircuts as well. Not to mention the toy car barber chair for the kids makes everything so much easier. I have been going to Jacobs for years and I can't say enough good things about them. I have a lot less hair than when I started, but the haircuts are always first-rate. I now live somewhere else, but with pretty much every barber shop I've been to lately, the barber likes to rush through the haircut/clean up and destroy my skin by not using any lubrication when shaving either my neck or beard with a straight razor. Today was one of the worst experiences I've had with that issue. The barber I had completely cut up the side of my neck to the point where I had blood dripping onto my shirt. I don't understand what makes any master barber think that it's ok to shave ANY part of anyone's body dry. It's unacceptable, and I can't say I'll be returning here ever again. It seems the only place I can get a nice haircut and beard trim is at Roosevelt Field at Art of Shaving, which is extremely expensive. You would think that when using such a dangerous tool the barber would take extra precaution to use plenty of shaving cream so as not to slice up the skin, but I guess not. I'm sorry I had to write this review because I love the guys in there, but I just couldn't hold this one back.
