Kids don't exactly like getting their hair cut so we knew this was going to be a challenge, but Rudy and the guys couldn't have been more gentle or respectful. The first thing that I noticed was that the shop was very clean. There are about a 1/2 dozen chairs and a plane for kids, or I guess small adults. Our barber did a great job. My son squirms all over and doesn't stop talking. He got him to follow his directions and gave him a great cut. We will be back soon because his hair grows like weeds. I'm a sucker for the little details, and that old turn-of-the-century rustic ceiling is a gem -- you don't see craftsmanship like that anymore. Clean, well laid out, family-run feel. The cut was $20 -- an honest price -- Vlad lives in Queens, I work in Queens, so we had plenty to talk about. Good conversation makes a good haircut even better. Two practical tips: the parking lot is tight with limited spots, so don't show up expecting valet.
