New Owner not the same name. Great price $15 a hair cut open Tuesday to Sunday. Remodeled the place, just needs a TV in the front of the shop. Nice owner who is there cutting hair now and will be adding more barbers. He does the hot towel on the head which is nice and gave me a good haircut. Give him a try. read more

Been coming here for almost a year and normally I would give bens 5 stars this time they are lucky I can't give less than one star. Went in on Thursday night and the guy I usually have cut my hair wasn't there so I ley my guys father cut my hair, big mistake. I was in the chair telling him I needed to look good since I was in a wedding this weekend. At first he seemed good but as soon as another person walked in he started rushing. My sides were not blended the front of my hair looked like a damn cupie doll he left it so long which was not noticeable singe when he said he was done my hair was so wet still it looked acceptable. He asked about trimming my eyebrows I said sure being someone with light hair he buzzed then so short ity looks like ib don't have any anymore. Finally when I paid he tried confusing me into giving him a 14.00 tip on a 16.00 haircut. Needless to say I ended up going to another barber to fix the mess that was made and i will never go back here. Sorry to the son who is a perfectionist and always made me look good but I am so pissed I will never return. read more

Rudy and Richie are awesome. I was visiting my parents from the city and needed a shave and beard trim. I did research and stumbled upon Ben's Barbershop in Lynbrook not far from where my parents live. I went in and was very warmly greeted. I ended up getting a perfect shave and the beard trim was the exact perfect length. To top it all off, the conversation was very friendly and cordial which made for a very welcoming experience and the price was great! Went here for the first time today. Visit was based primarily on Yelp reviews. Always a little nervous when going to a new place. This is a classic, old school barbershop. Nothing fancy, and no frills. Just right. Two seat barbershop with barbers with old world skills. Nothing is rushed and you can tell they take their time and care about their quality. No loose or stray hairs when done with the haircut unlike other places where you feel like they do a quick job to get you out and you need a shower. Also, like Jeremy said in another review no awkward conversation. Really important for people like me. Located in Phillips Plaza with plenty of parking next door to the Starbucks. I don't often write reviews but this is a pretty good barber shop. I have to say, they listen to what you say and they don't force you into an awkward convo. If you wanna sit and relax in silence they leave you be. If you want to talk then they will talk with you. I have to say this is important. I find many barbershops make forced awkward conversations with you, you wont have to deal with that here. I appreciate that. Cut my hair and let me rest after a long day of work. I'm not a big talker so that's a plus in my book. The haircuts are also top notch and the price is reasonable so what more can you ask. Thumbs up! read more

Mike was a real nice guy but a terrible barber! Just straight awful. Didnt listen to one thing that i asked. If you want a professional, business appropiate haircut or just want to look good, please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I felt like he was trying to get me in and out when nobody else was waiting. Didnt touch a scissor once, if i wanted a buzz i would have saved the $15 and done it myself. Much better since under new management w/ Rudy. It's not easy to cut my hair (curly hair that's now thinning), but Rudy does an excellent job. He's improved the store, and never rushes.
