Kids don't exactly like getting their hair cut so we knew this was going to be a challenge, but Rudy and the guys couldn't have been more gentle or respectful. He gave my son the best haircut he's had yet and we'll definitely be bringing him back here. We went from tears in the beginning, to smiles and high fives at the end.

He is fast but professional, very thorough and accurate; seems to use a razor well. I look forward to seeing if he can be as good with scissors next time. They aren't as cheap as other spots, but certainly not over priced.

The first thing that I noticed was that the shop was very clean. There are about a 1/2 dozen chairs and a plane for kids, or I guess small adults. Our barber did a great job. My son squirms all over and doesn't stop talking. He got him to follow his directions and gave him a great cut. We will be back soon because his hair grows like weeds. Everyone else there were regulars so I know it is good.

Great experience overall. Mike's been cutting hair for 15 years and it shows through his level of attention and patience. He does specifically what you ask him to do and if you change your mind, he is all for it. Mike gives advice on your hair and the products that would work; but not once did he push any products on me. Hot towel at the end of the haircut was a new experience. Most importantly, the haircut was great and I see myself coming in as a regular in the near future. Thanks Mike! read more

I used to live in East Meadow and so I frequented Rich and Famous once every week and a half/two…read moreweeks, and up until today, I was pretty satisfied with their service. I now live somewhere else, but with pretty much every barber shop I've been to lately, the barber likes to rush through the haircut/clean up and destroy my skin by not using any lubrication when shaving either my neck or beard with a straight razor. Today was one of the worst experiences I've had with that issue. The barber I had completely cut up the side of my neck to the point where I had blood dripping onto my shirt. I don't understand what makes any master barber think that it's ok to shave ANY part of anyone's body dry. It's unacceptable, and I can't say I'll be returning here ever again. It seems the only place I can get a nice haircut and beard trim is at Roosevelt Field at Art of Shaving, which is extremely expensive. You would think that when using such a dangerous tool the barber would take extra precaution to use plenty of shaving cream so as not to slice up the skin, but I guess not. I'm sorry I had to write this review because I love the guys in there, but I just couldn't hold this one back.

Second time I went the guy said "WERE EATING!" And the rest of them again kept staring me out. Came back 20 minutes later and the main guy flat out cut my hair and had a nasty attitude after I asked for a high skin fade. Kept speaking in his language saying "high skin fade" in between sentences while cutting my hair; this prompted his staff to laugh at me the entire time. 'I would recommend this place if you're looking for a faddish haircut and ready to dive into some club in the city as a 20 something. Apparently that's the clientele this place loves considering the techno music on full blast. The picture of all five of you posing is a bit like the clientele you admire: in vain!
