I have lived in Brixton for over 18 years, I've always shopped at M&S brixton brunch. I had very little problems as the shop is limited, i usually go there knowing what i want to buy, but recently there has been so much changes which do not make sense to me at all, i don't go any other M&S as home and work been around the area.
i usually have little time, i take what i buy home try them at home (there is no changing room either) and if they don't fit i bring them back, usually exchange them/get credit.
Today i been told by staff members at the till i can not have refund do to losing my receipt - thats fine, i asked if i can get credit for it or exchange it, one cashier said i can get credit, i said fine, the other one said no i can not, they have policy for ONLY Brixton brunch that is no recipe no return, credit, exchange even though the goods are exactly as purchase. I said thats not right that day (on Sat 3 days before) i bought so much stuff i had on me about 20 precepts but i was missing the M&S so i agree to accept credit note as the first casher advised, but i was refused. So i explain myself & said i am human i can lose stuff this case there is no reason for them not to do like other store do - give credit or exchange. I was refused blank out.
I asked for the story manager to talk to me, he was called MIZAN. he turn up with high voice telling me off, i got upset i said to him to show me this information in writing anywhere - he could not provided that, and i suggested the staff member need to inform customers on purchase not to lose receipt or on the recipe it should show NO refund, No exchange, NO credit in case of lose receipt - he refused to inform me where it shows those info- I insisted because i have got credit note before several time, i explain he won't have it.
Mr Manager Mizan was very rude, arrogant who could not explain himself appropriately , he keep repeating himself with what he want to say which do not answer my question.
If Brixton have a different rule then they should advertise it to customer.
One of the casher inform me that there has been a lot of bad activities in that store therefore they change rules to no refund without a receipt - i have no problem with that, my point was
where is it showing that this is the case for that store?
why will i not get credit given to buy another items?
why will i not get the size change?
if they don't have changing room then they will have to expect returns??????
The person who called himself Mangaer Mr Mizan who refused to give his full name should not run the brunch with that kind of personality.
I will not buy anything there anymore nor will i stop complaining about this until its solved.
I offer to tell him when and what time i bought the item so he can check receipt as the casher suggested, he refused and walked away from me, i walk look for him to explain he told me to get lost that i am in his face and i should not talk to him, I will not make him staff member leave along manager.
Mark spence should sort this out, spend money on security instead of treating all their customer as a thief.
All he needed to do was scan the product and see if it has been sold under that bar code - if he can not do that then it means anyone can pick up product say i bought it then refund, then when refused go out of the door as you purchase it ?? it is stupid that they can not check item that has been bought already on the till see it it has been sold.
The manager Mr Mizan should be trained well not to treat people the same as whoever giving them problem at that store. we are not all the same, and MANNER go long way.. read more
