DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. Have no idea why they have good reviews.I grew up in a family where men…read morein my home knew how to repair things and the guy they sent said to me, " I get nervous when someone is watching me". then he had no idea how to turn on the washer and then turned on the dryer and expressed confusion. Imagine! Then he takes out a pick like tool and begins to try to remove the lid with this metal pick like thing that can CHIP my enamel, pauses and is looking baffled. Do yourself a favor and save yourself a headache. and BTW when I called the owner, he said he didn't know him. Then when I phoned back (after I kicked this guy out) he said he was sent because the REAL guy was tied up in another job. So he first denies knowing him asking if I called other companies, which I did not and in the second call states he IS ONE OF THEIRS. Disingenuous! Liar!

We have had a very bad experience with this company since the day we started the dehumidifier…read moreinstallation. This has been one of the worst service experiences we have had. Our point of contact, Daniel, mentioned that they prioritize customers who spend more with them. We spent over $5,000 with the company, yet we felt our concerns were not treated as a priority. Daniel was often unresponsive, and we also had issues with the technicians' work. They installed a new dehumidifier, and we paid as soon as the installation was completed. However, the unit did not work properly for the next two months. On top of that, the company was very difficult to reach and slow to respond. This situation caused us to lose business. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this company. If you do decide to use them, I strongly recommend making sure the equipment is working properly before making the final payment and do not speak with Daniel.

After weeks of warm drinks, rock-less cocktails, and an inability to put ice on sore muscles, I contacted Mike. He got back to me quickly and sent a technician here right away. Unlike a New York public school teacher during covid, the technician got to work. He removed the ice maker assembly and suggested it might need to be replaced. I began mental preparations for taking out a second mortgage, as Viking parts are absurdly expensive. In short order, he determined that the assembly worked fine (pretty impressive for a 20-year old fridge). A piece of food had gotten into it and blocked the water flow. He fixed it, put it back, and I was back in the ice-making business in no time. He could have totally fleeced me, but did not -- restoring my faith in humanity, but not New York's teachers' unions.

I had mentioned to them that my building had strict requirements for insurance and Sal sent over a COI within less than 24 hours of our call that met my building's approval. Sal was very responsive over the phone and scheduled an appointment for a 2 hour window. Alex, the technician came during that time window and also gave me a call 20 minutes before his arrival to give me a heads up. I love how communicative the entire NY Viking Team is. When he arrived, he made sure to cover his shoes with blue covers and he was able to quickly diagnose that my oven door needed new hinges and gave me the price, which I agreed to before he then promptly fixed everything. For folks who want peace of mind that their oven will get fixed and don't have these technical skills, I definitely recommend giving NY Viking a call.
