The best things about this Market 32 are the inventory and the specialty stations. A lot of space is devoted to produce, with numerous smaller stations and shelves. You might have to do a bit of walking around to find everything you want, but that's the intent of grocery store layouts. The bagels I bought there were already on their way to being stale though. Everything else about the store is as you'd expect. They'll have specials and loss-leaders. Just about everything I bought rang up a discount with my card, so if you don't have one, you're paying a lot more. As seems to be the case with the chain in general, their regularly priced items are above average in cost compared to other stores in the area. While visiting family in the area, I stopped at Market 32 to gather some items. It was really nice compared to the previous Price Chopper stores. It was clean, it was fresh and everything appeared really new. I ordered via instacart and ended up going in for additional items. They had everything I needed readily available. Unfortunately, I forgot you do need to bring in your own bags; but the cashier was able to provide paper bags. Overall, the store was great. Some of the employees and customers were somewhat stand offish or not welcoming to me and my wife, which was pretty impolite as we were just purchasing groceries. read more

Hey Slingerlands! Your Market 32/Price Chopper SUCKS. Higher food prices are unavoidable but the complete failure of service is inexcusable. Twice we've tried to order a pizza only to pay for something we did not order bc your Pizza Dept only seems capable of making cheese. No matter how many times one repeats HALF SAUSAGE it goes ignored. Then at rush hour you take AWAY the deli's drawers so you can't even pay there?! Open only 3 registers with human cashiers out of what? 20? and ask your underpaid floor staff to play hypocritical traffic control while they stand around doing nothing but tell customers to wait in a single LONGER cattle call for the privilege of checking themselves out. Can't wait for the new market chain to open up in Colonie. This market is a derelict embarrassment. read more

This is my regular supermarket though sometimes I prefer the Glenmont store (where the produce section is usually better.) Relative to produce, that's the best reason to come to Market 32. (Whole Foods is overpriced and Honest Weight by necessity is more expensive.) The packaged meat is advisable (I soon learned the butcher case chicken was the exact same as cheap packaged chicken; the packaged chicken allows you to select something antibiotic free.) I would NEVER buy seafood here. The bakery is also pretty awful. Clearly, it's a good place for canned goods, cleaning goods, paper products and dairy. Price Chopper is trying with its newly displayed cheese section, but if you want good cheese trek to Whole Foods. Price Chopper has a lock on the Capital Region and isn't going to improve until it gets real competition (and that isn't coming from Hannaford.) I kind of think of Market 32/Price Chopper is a weaker version of the West Coast's Safeway chain. It's adequate, but when you have company you need to run to top shelf market alternatives in Latham or Colonie. The Town of Bethlehem deserves better, read more

All Price Chopper stores around Bethlehem have this weird/ big brother thing where you MUST, without any voice of complaint, surrender your driving license for scanning to buy beer. It's important to correct the record, especially when one gets something wrong. On one hand, I'm tempted to blame some sort of youthful naiveté, but ten years ago I was hardly in my youth. Here's what I said back then about the Slingerlands P-Chops, "This location does have a semblance of a New York Jewish Deli going for it. But I wouldn't say it's worth the drive." Ben & Bill's Deli, specifically the one inside this grocery store, is your best bet for New York Jewish Deli staples in the region, and absolutely worth the drive. The only killer is that eating your tender and juicy pastrami sandwich inside the supermarket takes away from the appeal. But if you're there for the food, this is the place to go. Seriously. There are other things to love about this extra large suburban P-Chops too. When our family returned from the sabbatical in New Jersey, this is where I went late at night to restock our fridge and pantry. The late night crew at this store is top notch, plus it was remarkable how much room there is for individual shoppers to have tons of personal space. Coming from the density of Jersey, this fact really stood out. Still, for better or for worse, it's a P-Chops. But if you are hangry for chopped liver, or a hot corned beef sandwich, take the drive down to Slingerlands and do your best to forget you're eating in a grocery store. read more

There's lots to like about this Price Chopper branch. It's conveniently located, there's plenty of parking, and the food quality is solid. I really like the meat department which routinely has very good quality steaks and chops and always offers to custom cut your order. Their deli department is also superb, and has a great selection of cold cuts and cheeses which are dispensed by, quite possibly, the friendliest deli staff I've ever dealt with. They also have a very respectable beer selection (for a mainstream supermarket), and finally, they always seem to have lots of staples on sale. Oh yeah, there's even a Starbucks inside. Nice bonus. Really wonderful people who work at PC and horrible horrible prepared food. I come from Wegman's land and want the quality of prepared food from that excellent market or from Whole Foods or Honest Weight. Where do I start? Stuffed-twice baked potatoes with broccoli and cheese? Only there was no broccoli and very little cheese and so little of the mashed potato part - it was really just a dry baked potato little nothing. How about those ugly fatty ribs? Or that crab cake with nothing but bread crumbs inside and no sauce? Get it together, PC! You suck. And no one should buy prepared from you. read more

Price Choppers order on line system should be disbanded! Even when they give you a pick up time...it's not honored. I waited 2 hours on their customer service line to find out they wouldn't be able to honor my pickup time for 6 more days! This order was for a senior who is home bound. This PC is good for many things, but they've quit stocking items I buy regularly, like Horizon Ultrapasturized milk in paper cartons and there are common items that they don't seem to stock, most recently couldn't find potato starch, quinoa, tapioca starch, and even MCT powder, but not simple potato starch. read more

This is one of my favorite Price Choppers. Yes, I'm a loyal P/C shopper, partly because I don't have time to price compare all these stores and read all their flyers on Sunday. So I only shop P/C & CVSs, & once they know(they have their ways) they coupon me like crazy! In the snail mail, in email... Once, this store had no challah (bread) baked the morning of a Jewish holiday. The store manager himself- drove 2 free loaves to my house when they came out of the oven. You just can't forget that kind of thing! I like how I can call in an order to Ben & Bills and it's ready when I get there(ever think of a call in from car side-service? I also shop at the, let's call it the "Dela-Chopper."it's an experience in culture immersion not to be missed. This should be a much larger and busier store, as 2 MAJOR hospitals dump most of their employees out within a couple blocks of here. I don't really see any marketing to that rather captive audience. Anyway, P/C has the freshest produce and good meat & deli. I only buy what's on sale and /or with coupons (a lesson I'd like to teach some other shoppers) then also get the gas points. This is the second time I have driven on a Saturday evening to get weekly deals and the shelves are emptied for all the couponed products. When I go to office, I got a "no rain checks--- no substitutes". And there was no effort to look up stock in back for me. The attitude was dismissive, smug and infuriating and I'm guessing this was the Manager. Although out of my way, I drove to Glenmont Price Chopper and found all the couponed products freshly shelved. used to always shop here will never again. rude cashier Shelby and the front manager guy who felt the need to scream and be rude from the moment he came to the register. there was issue with card read and kept rejecting my card instead of helping the situation he desided to scream it declined over and over. I check my bank and I had 3 charges from each attempt withdrawal and then refund credited . so if my card declined why did it go through and refund me! I will never return after the unprofessionally behavior of your management. instead of trying to help and figure out the issue you felt better blaming it on the credit card. funny that same card worked just fine at another price chopper moments later.... not worth the bulkshit shop another location!!! read more

Clean with many choices. Good if not great pricing. The only reason not five star is Front-end Managers-very rude to customers with questions and the cashiers. For example...I once asked if they had any heads of lettuce as I scoured produce and couldn't find. The Front End Manager (had name tag) said very rudely "if not there then we have none". We were in the store this Saturday night at 9:30pm. They had only 2 registers open. Both lines were 10 carts deep. We went to the self check out where 1 gentleman was finishing checking out. The manager came over and told us that easy scan self check out was now closed and we had to wait in one of the lines! I'm the customer and I wanted to check out ourselves. The manager should have done the opposite and asked everyone on the 2 lines if they would like to use the self check out! No common sense and terrible customer service. If I could give a 0/5 I would. I placed an order from Price Chopper on 3/13/20 at 7:40pm for pick up scheduled for pick up 3/14/20 between 7pm-8pm. I did not receive a call, I looked on my account and the order said canceled. I called Price Chopper Slingerlands and was given Instacart's customer service number. The person that answered the phone did not want to help. I called Instacart and the hold time was very long and I was placed on hold for a very long time and was told the order was canceled because they didn't have staff to fill the order and an email was sent. They said they could not un-cancel the order and I would need to place the order online again. Since there is a pandemic going on in the US the proper thing was for a phone call to be placed to me instead of an impersonal email. I checked my email while I was on the phone with Instacart and I had received an email on 3/14/20 at 3:37pm and had not seen it. How this was handled and passed off by Price Chopper to Instacart with no accountability or concern is unacceptable and the worst customer service. You need to reconsider your partnership with Instacart and consider in house staff to fill your shop at home orders if you care to maintain your reputation. I have placed my order with a competitor with no issues. They use in-house shoppers and have not passed their shop at home program onto Instacart like you and their customer service remains excellent. I always held Price Chopper in high regard and this is no longer the case. read more

This is my favorite grocery store. Not only do they have everything I need for the home but their meals in their "food court" are amazing. I routinely will get a chicken wrap from the sandwich station whenever I go and it is amazing and huge! The beers at the growler station always change allowing us to try new local beers. Overall this is the best location for one stop shopping in the area. read more
