I'm still a big fan of this place. I took my nieces here on a Friday night, a few couples were…read morethere but it wasn't overly crowded. We ordered a 12 pack of doughnut and were able to pick 4 flavors. The s'mores ones were amazing! We also really liked the puppy chow. While ordering, one niece picked out Bart's birthday cake and I said something to her like oh you picked those because we are celebrating your birthday. I didn't think much of it but after our doughnuts were delivered, staff asked her if she wanted powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar doughnuts to go for her birthday. She loved getting to leave with an extra treat. We had fun playing pinball while we waited and one of my nieces commented on how she really liked the vibe of the place. They both said the mini doughnut place was a highlight of their weekend with me.

The selection of donuts looked delicious so I placed an order for a six-pack of donuts. Got to pick out three different flavors. Wait time was a ridiculous but i gave them a break due to the high traffic from the event going on outside. When I finally got my order I had to laugh. These donuts were the size of donut holes. One bite donuts? No exaggeration, I paid a premium price for full size donuts and I all I got were bite size dough balls. I was mad as a Danzig at a Bulletboys concert. Don't waste your time with this place. Happy Dough Lucky is just happy to take your dough. No luck involved.

The space is nice and while it took me a second to figure out what I was doing, I got the hang of it. This sandwich was so amazing. The flavors were bursting with that goat cheese bread and the cheesy steak. It was definitely messy but thankfully I had fries to go with my sandwich. I let the filling for the sandwich that fell out go right on those fries and BOOM! a second meal of smothered fries. Chef suggested some finely sliced pepperoncini and wow.. that really brought a different dimension to the sandwich. I will be coming back to get this again before it leaves the menu. The Garlic Butter wings were also so amazing. The flavors really melded well together with the smoked wings and the garlic butter. I could eat a dozen of these easily. I need to get back and try their pizza now. I will be keeping an eye on where their food truck lands this summer as well!

I joked with them to push their limits next time and need to go back soon to see what they can do. Their interior dining is bright and open, looks like a great spot for warmer weather along with possible patio seating. Food came out pretty quick, which is always a bonus.

Doh'p - You can see the pizza going into the oven and the logs they add in. It was 80 degrees in there because of it which makes sense

Where else can you get all of this stuff in one stop? Get real- Certainly not at "the Pig" or Pick 'n' Save! Dine In- there are a small number of tables and Madison Ave. Market serves breakfast for insanely low prices. Coffee is like, $.80! They do eggs and such, but why not try a Feta omellette? Lunches and Dinners offer a variety of sandwiches, pizzas and pastas. They also do Carryout- just call ahead! Burek- this deserves its own category! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burek This specialty, done Albanian-style, is enough of a meal on its own. And incredibly delicious! They offer chicken, beef, spinach, or spinach and feta. We got a frozen spinach and feta burek to go, and the owner Julia was so nice to tell us exactly how to bake it when we got home. My son and I devoured it. Alcohol- okay, South Milwaukeeans, they also carry beer in the refrigerated section- I knew you'd want to know about that. Yes, this is in my hometown, and may not be long for this world. The streets of old S.M. tend not to hustle and bustle too much, and although I grew up with plenty of Albanian and Greek classmates, Xenophobia still rules in much of S.M. (No, that does not mean you love Xena, the Warrior Princess). The owners live in Franklin and dreamed of opening up a shop. This is their American Dream and it does not matter where they came from, to dream this dream. They do a great Burek business, catering to the large grocery chains, so that may in the end, save them. But why not pay them a visit, grab some beer and Burek, give them a friendly smile and some friendlier dollars? It's the American Dream.
