I have been waiting anxiously for the hanging baskets to arrive here! Well, that day is finally here! And you all definitely didn't disappoint. Pretty nice selection of hanging baskets as well as other flowers that are in flats. The lady who was in the white tent outside by the name of Chrissy was extremely and very knowledgeable helping me pick out just the right hand basket. She absolutely went above and beyond. And again was extremely knowledgeable.

Still the best ham & rolls and cold salads around! Such a treat to come here on a Sunday morning and buy goodies for the week. The cashiers were moving the long line efficiently. Make sure to arrive early if you want shaved ham and rolls!

First time visiting, but I've known about this store for several years. There is a greenhouse next door and plants for sale hanging outside. When you walk in the store, there are freezers and refrigerators on the right with seafood, meats, heat-n-eat meals, and fresh cut fruit. You can buy wine, beer, spirits, as well as candy, bakery, spices, sauces, pickled veggies, deli meats and cheeses, plus there is a fresh produce section, as well. Today, I bought some fresh cut fruit and a bag of El Rey tortilla chips. It's a cool place, and I would shop here again.

Perfect stop for anything you need! I love getting their daily soups, as well as house made dips and salads. Lots of great offerings to make a delicious charcuterie board. They offer hot ham and rolls on Saturday & Sunday! Produce is hit or miss, definitely needs to be used right away. Great family owned store!

It's like a mini grocery store. Good to know they have hot ham and rolls on Saturday and Sunday for a very reasonable price, I'll have to remember that when I'm going to a pot luck, or something. For touting themselves a "fruit market", though, I didn't really see that much fruit or produce. I bought a few things, and I will stop by again when convenient and I'm the area but I wouldn't go out of my way. Also saw some outside seating & tables and some plants for sale.

Ok I have been driving past this place for years and since I love exploring small neighborhood grocery stores because they can be gems I finally stopped by. The place is decorated like country charm and way smaller on the inside than it looks from the outside. The place is totally a neighborhood thing with lots of regulars who know each other by name. The place has a nice mix of seafood, cheeses, meats, specialty foods, taffy, candy, pizza, fruits, veggies, nuts, olives, beer, liquor, spices etc etc. I was looking for the the not so common items and I found a Mexican seafood soup kit with spicy seafood meat balls, gotta try that. A hot pitted olive salad rounded out my visit. The pizzas looked really good but that's for next time. Overall I really liked the place and I will definitely stop by when I drive by because I want to try other items.

Scratch, locally made ice cream (nice use of an adverb, too)

Stopped in here recently because my parents wanted ham 'n' rolls. My eyes widened at every corner, and I walked out with: - Frozen cod - Craft beer I've been wanting to try - Layton Ave's own spicy vodka pasta sauce - Beets, a huge assortment for very little money - Fresh veggies and fruit It's a nice little family business, and I'll be back often!

Limited fruit and vegetable offerings but what they do have is fresh and excellent quality. Well, limited for a grocery store but this is smaller than most grocery stores. Extensive for a fruit stand, but this is larger than a fruit stand. There's a more upscale assortment of goods than one would find in a neighborhood food mart. I must use the original meaning of the now meaningless phrase, "it is what it is," as this little neighborhood fruit market is in its own category. In addition to fruit they have an eclectic collection of frozen prepared meats, fish, pizza, and deli products; pasta, pasta sauce, olive oil, plants, flowers, chocolates and snacks, and some other stuff. And newspapers. Almost everything here is locally sourced, and there are a lot of friendly gift ideas. If you're into the Wisconsin hot ham and rolls thing, this place does it better than most. If you're vegetarian, the way the store is set up you can avoid the meet if you veer hard left on entry. I think you would have some trouble negotiating the tight space in a wheelchair, but there's no ramp or stairs in the front and the parking lot is ample for the market size.

I was looking for a keto-friendly frozen pizza and low and behold they had them here! Once I got here (because I had never been before) I was amazed by the quality and quantity of amazing produce and products. The shop keeper was very helpful and answered all of my questions. This place is a new favorite of mine!

Review is for mostly the pasta class but also the store! I had been eagerly awaiting the classic…read moreegg pasta class for a while, and we were not let down. Petra and Andy take such pride in their shop and it shows! We started wandering (and salivating over) their small but impressive selection of sauces, oils, salts, and Italian goodies. They have samples of most of their items, so definitely ask when you're in! The class started with Petra giving a brief overview of the general recipe and then we got our hands dirty almost immediately kneading the dough. The dough got to rest for a bit while we got to sip on some beautiful red wine and Petra taught us how to make a puttanesca sauce. When we went back to knead some more, Andy had magically cleaned the stations and set us up for the next round! On our next rest break, Petra finished assembling the puttanesca with some pasta she made earlier that day and we got a healthy serving of fresh pasta and puttanesca, followed by a sample of some of the most amazing Panettone I have ever had. The care that Petra and Andy put into their work is evident, and their commitment to supporting organic, high quality foods is remarkable. Looking forward to many more classes here!

For the cost of the class, I would have thought I would have got a bit more. The other thing that disappointed me was the glasses are open to all ages of children. In my class, I was there with a middle school boy who somewhat took ownership of the class and wasn't behaving very appropriate for what I thought was an adult-only class. This was an event I purchased as an adult-friendly evening, I do wish this was stated when signing up for classes or at least offer adult-only or all ages classes. It just wasn't the vibe I was going for that evening and frankly was pretty annoying. Although, the owner did try to play down the boy's presence and kindly answer his questions, etc - I probably wouldn't take another class there unfortunately. I do enjoy the shop and the pasta is tasty.

I grew up with Quality Candy - my grandmother (God bless her) was strongly opposed to crappy…read morechocolate, so she filled our stockings and Easter baskets with delights from Quality. Clearly, my grandma rules....but I digress. Quality Candy was purchased by Buddy Squirrel a few years back and for the most part, they no longer use the "Quality" name as Buddy Squirrel is more recognizable outside of MKE. That makes me sad, but I'm happy that the actual candy is still the same stuff that rotted my teeth back in the day. This review is for the factory store, which is located in a small business park in St. Francis. It's kind of hard to find, and has wonky hours but it's worth a bit of extra effort. All the confections here are made in the Belgian style, so expect creamy, sweet chocolates vs. Cacao-rich dark candy. They do offer plant tours from time to time, if you're interested. QC is well known for fairy food, mint meltaways, pecan tads, chocolate covered toffee and incredible whipped creme eggs at Easter. They also offer nuts and popcorn for poor souls who don't care for chocolate. Staff at this location is very helpful and will point you to the best stuff. Prices are reasonable, considering the quality level and there is a small "seconds table" at the back. Tuesdays are "senior" day so all y'all who are 55+ get 20% off. I was with my mom, so I got to use her discount. Sweet! (Pun intended)

I really wanted to like this place but the wheels fell off at the deli. It's a nice little store…read moreand I wanted to sample a few things. They have heat and serve items that are homemade. The deli looked amazing with meats that I have never seen before. I started with what looked like meat sticks because I'm a sucker for meat sticks. Next was homemade cheese and potato pierogis. On to the meat counter and I would sample 4-5 of 1/8 of a pound deli meats. While my first meat choice was being sliced an older blond woman would intervene with a nasty attitude and said no 1/8 of a pound because the minimum on deli meats is 3/4 of a pound and there is signs stating that I didn't notice ? Well I don't need 5 pounds of deli meat for sampling. Then I get what are we supposed with the meat we already sliced and I said I will buy it and was only .520 of a pound which was not their minimum quantity that they stated, I would have spent about $10 more in the deli if they didn't have a ridiculously unusual policy. I have been ordering deli meat most of my life and this is the first time I had to order a minimum quantity, am I in the twilight zone ??. The fact that older blond was so rigid about a minimum quantity and not willing to sell me deli meats that I requested is absolutely a giant fail at customer service. O W deli had no problem doing that for me a couple weeks ago and what a contrast between the two polish Deli store.
