Dr. Espinosa is cool, approachable, and clearly cares about his patients. On my most recent visit, I saw their newer doctor, Dr. Fabrizio, and she took great care of me as well, super attentive and professional. They always have a great selection of lenses and frames, they take insurance, and what I really appreciate is how helpful they are when it comes to choosing frames. They actually give honest feedback and help you decide what looks best, instead of leaving you to figure it out on your own. If you're single and need someone to externally process frames with you, this is definitely the place to go, they've got you covered! Overall, it's just a fun, friendly, welcoming office. They're also Christian-owned, which I really appreciate as a Christian myself. I can't recommend James Espinosa OD enough.

The office feels understaffed, and the overall patient experience has slipped, particularly around communication and flow. On my last visit, I waited more than thirty minutes past my scheduled appointment and still had not completed the intake process, largely because the focus seemed to be on sales rather than patient care. Eventually I made the call to leave without being seen, which was frustrating and not a decision I took lightly. After years of loyalty, this experience made it clear that I will be taking my business elsewhere, and I hope the practice is able to refocus on patient service in the future.

When I checked, my order showed that the glasses would be ready for pickup on 4/30. That date came and went with no call, text, or email notifying me of any delay. I called on 5/1 and was told the glasses would be available on Monday. Monday passed--again, no communication. I called that evening before closing and was told they would have my glasses on Tuesday, 5/5. It is now the afternoon of 5/5, and I still have not received any updates. When I called again, I was told the glasses had not arrived and that they "might" be available sometime this week, but no specific timeline could be provided. It has now been 12 business days, and there seems to be no sense of urgency or concern for the customer experience. Payment was collected promptly, but the product has yet to be delivered, and communication has been consistently lacking. Based on this experience, I plan to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

First of all she scolded me for not bringing my old contacts with me. I came here to get a new exam also because I felt like my old contacts weren't working well for me. She gave me a half-ass exam, quickest I've ever had and gave me a prescription. She seemed pissed off the whole time as if it was a burden for her to examine me. Sucked at the time because I didn't have insurance and that was what I was left with. I ended up going somewhere else to buy frames and the prescription she gave me for glasses didn't work well for me at all. I will not recommend her to anyone.

I had a disappointing experience with My Eye Guy due to poor communication and customer service…read more After purchasing my frames, I was given multiple inconsistent timelines for when my glasses would be ready. From a few days, to a week, to nearly four weeks. I was repeatedly told to wait for a text message with a pickup code, but never received one. I had to call myself to find out my glasses were already ready, and after specifically asking if I still needed to wait for the text, I was told yes. Five hours later, I called again only to be told I never needed the text in the first place. The interaction afterward made me feel like I was somehow at fault for following the instructions I was given. I was also disappointed with the fitting process. When I asked how to tell if the glasses were too tight or needed adjustment, I was basically told it was up to personal preference. Previous eye care offices I've gone to would at least visually check the fit and help with adjustments, but here I was mostly just handed the glasses and a case without much guidance. Delays and miscommunication happen, but the overall experience felt disorganized and unprofessional. However, the doctor was really nice, he deserves better.
