Brandon took the time to inspect the problem, explain everything clearly, and answer all of my questions. Derrick was also very helpful and professional throughout the job. They found a broken section of pipe with roots growing into the line, and they were able to take care of the issue by replacing the damaged piping. They also took care of the work in my front yard and cleaned up afterward. I also appreciated that Brandon was straightforward with me and worked with me on the pricing. Overall, I'm very happy with the work and the way I was treated. Brandon and Derrick were professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. Highly recommend Javier from R&R!…read more Our bathroom had 2 issues. The shower had 2 points of discharge and water came out from both ends when we turn on the water. The control switch was not working properly and it appears to have something broken inside the switch. The second was the bathtub was dripping for months. Our property manager gave us some recommendation on handyman, and we reached out to a few others. Everyone of the handyman looked at the issues and said they couldn't do it. Javier from R&R was professional and friendly. He came, looked at the problems and gave us multiple options. We were told that our bathroom fixtures were on the older end, and replacement parts would be pretty slim. Javier said he would try his best to find ways to fix our problems, and if it can't be fix, then he would have to go with the full remove and replace option. Needless to say, the cheaper option would be less than half the price of the worst case scenario. We were presented with the cheaper options to be less than $1000, while the worst case scenario would be in the mid $2000 with our drywall cut open in order to do the fixture replacement. We would also had to then deal with redoing the drywall since that is not part of the company's scope of work. Javier came back after we accepted the estimate and was able to fix everything faster than I thought. To my surprised, he was able to find the replacement parts and fix everything. My experience with Javier and R&R has been exceptional. I highly recommend R&R to anyone with plumbing issue like i had.

Cheyne came out to take a look the next day. Younger guy who was super nice and surprisingly knowledgeable. After talking to him for a bit it sounds like he's been working on complex industrial plumbing builds for a number of years and just recently struck off on his own to start his own plumbing company. He was friendly, quoted me a fair price up front and was licensed and insured so I gave him a shot. I'm glad I did as he did a great job and I ended up using him for more plumbing items than originally planned. With the first job, there was a small complication with my main water supply shutoff from the city street not fully turning the water off that complicated his ability to complete a portion of the job. Cheyne said he had a workaround that would probably do the trick if needed, but it would still be a good idea to call Mesa Water to come out and replace their valve at the curb. He gave me a few tips about what to say which must have been all the right things as Mesa Water jumped right on it and I had a new main valve installed by early afternoon the same day at no charge (I guess I pay them plenty already for my water service and it probably helped that it was a weekday, but I was impressed nonetheless). Once everything was good from the city water connection, Cheyne quickly knocked out moving and replacing my hose bib, installing a brass backflow for my sprinkler connection and suggested I add an in-line valve for my sprinklers to the backyard. It was a great idea and he didn't even upcharge me for it since it was just a little add on. Solid customer service. Since he was already there, I figured I would have him take a look at my water heater which I suspected was on its last legs. I had already been considering replacing it since I knew there was a big rebate being offered by the gas company for switching to tankless. After looking up which models got the best rebate he was able to confirm which would work for my plumbing configuration and hot water needs and found a supplier that had it in stock. I gave him the green light and we scheduled to have it installed later that week. He came back and knocked it out at the day/time he said he would. works great and we now have unlimited hot water. A couple weeks later, I noticed water dripping out from under our kitchen sink. After investigating I found the previous homeowner had a jenky plumbing set up where multiple different kinds of pipes that were loosely sitting inside each other and not even able to be properly tightened down. Called Sheldon Plumbing and Cheyne came out and helped me out again. I think I've found my go-to plumber.
