Absolutely love Mark, Wayne and staff. Extremely professional, courteous and talented staff. Well worth what the salon charges.

Katie is a miracle worker! I've been getting Brazilians since I was 18 and facial waxes since 13,…read moreand let me tell you, Katie changed everything I thought I knew about waxing. Those red splotches after waxes that I thought were just part of getting waxed? Nonexistent with Katie. I am genuinely convinced she is magic because I never knew a wax could be this painless before AND after! Also as a gal who has always struggled with intense ingrown hairs, ones that doctors told me could only be fixed with laser, I was stunned when Katie took the time to get all of them out and coached me on how to prevent them in the future, truly above and beyond! She's is the most thorough esthetician I've ever been to, and she creates such a warm and welcoming environment that I am actually looking forward to my next wax!

Always looking for my go to eyebrow spot. And I think I found it!…read more Booking online was super easy and simple. I have always wanted to know what was inside that building/house especially with that gorgeous curved front door. Passed it so many times on University. Parking was easy and nice to have designated parking spots for Bare Philosophy. Walked in and had no idea that you had to take your shoes off. I get for cleanliness sake and winter bringing water/salt, but I wasn't expecting it. I walked in and noticed another patron standing inside with her socks on so I followed suit. I didn't notice behind me that they provide slides to wear after you take off your shoes. There was no staff downstairs so no one to greet me or give instructions. There was a sign that said they were short staffed and to help yourself. It was the day before Christmas Eve. Really pretty inside and welcoming. Lots of areas to look at product. There was a coffee machine. Old historical charm throughout! The other client got brought back and I just was standing around. I finally heard someone in the foyer area and was checked in at that point and brought back to a large room for my eyebrow appointment. We spoke a bit about eyebrow shape and how she likes to keep things natural/follow your natural shape. Can always take off more later if I wanted. I think my eye wax was all of five minutes. Trimming, a few strips of waxing, and then tweezing and that's it. Let me have a look in the mirror and I was happy for the most part. I should've asked to trim my eyebrows a little more. But overall content with the shape. I wish there was something to put on my skin afterwards to calm it down since I get red easily. Again, the whole process was super quick, didn't feel overly personalized with an eye brow shaping/waxing but the job got done. The staff who did my brows was very nice and we made conversation throughout my service. I felt comfortable and no pain with the waxing/tweezing. Afterwards, she checked me out and you can give a tip on a card. $20 is a fair price for an eyebrow wax, what I was paying for at another place in the area.

Her product and technique is also the only one that's never given my skin an issue afterward (I do mostly eyebrows and Brazilian) which is a HUGE load off when you're dealing with such important areas. And for the price point? Even more worth it. It's almost impossible to find such a good service without breaking the bank. Thank you for everything lady, I can wait to see you again!

Mind you, I was a tad nervous, as it was a new venture to me. But, fortunately, Tracy made me feel extremely comfortable right away! Mind you, I had to book my appointment a week and a half in advance! (I understand why! she's good) I went with a traditional bikini wax, and it went quicker and smoother then I had anticipated. Tracy was professional and did a really good job. The room itself was really relaxing, with low lights a big comfy table. She went through some of her tecniques and asked specifically what I was looking for. As she was waxing, I realized it wasn't as bad as I had thought. She did a really good job and had me check it out to make sure it was up to my standards. She's super sanitary and I would gladly come here again. Prices are fair and reasonable and I love coming here!

Ora Beauty and Wellness blocked and removed my review that I posted on their facebook page. That…read moreis not a good look! I would think they'd would have reached out to me to properly explain or to make good on my service that they should have provided in the first place. For privacy purposes my name has been changed, however, the businesses that I post reviews on can, if needed verify that I did receive service at the date and time. Date and Time of service ; January 2nd, Friday, original appointment was 2:30 then I changed and checked in at 3:30. My massage started at approximately 3:48 Marianne was done and out of the room at 4:36. I booked an appointment with Marianne for what I thought The Remedy - see pic for description of what "The Remedy is supposed to be. I DEFINITELY would NOT waste your money, nor if I was the owner, put that it was OUR signature treatment! What I did get was an hour NOT 75 minutes, it was light to moderate rubbing and pressure with finger on muscles holding for a min then moving on, never a hint of aromatherapy at all, nothing remotely pertaining to the sinuses. The description goes on to say that you will be massaged with lavender and black seed oil, I can't be certain if that was used or not, however every 20-30 seconds she would stop and have to get more lotion on her hands, not once did she touch/massage my face, chest or neck massaged. The sounds that were playing, correction- the sound that was on was one tone for the first 50" minutes the last 10 was a mix of low to high pitch. My ocd/add was all over it ! Awful ! The last 20 minutes was her using the tips of her fingers to press the back of my neck, holding it for at least 2 minutes then moving to the sides pressing against the neck muscles. I feel like a complete fool to just hand $105 dollars for a half @&& rubdown. I did give Marianna a $20.00 dollar tip, that's almost a 20% tip. I figured my review would speak for itself, as she did allow me to come in at a later time than I had previously scheduled, for that she was compensated. I cannot stress how disappointed I am ! Really was hoping for a great treatment ! I actually bought a gift certificate for a friend to Ora !! Uugghh wish I hadn't after this experience. Lastly, as the saying goes.... Looks are deceiving. It's the work they do inside that you want ... who cares how pretty it looks..

I asked to have my shoulders and shoulder blades and feet massaged hard (those areas) but they did not listen. I don't understand. We have been good customers for a year but we are not going back. I have asthma and it was so hot in there that I couldn't relax.
