Well...I arrived home yesterday from my hair appointment and a short while later he was on here (Yelp) reading some more reviews. That is when I thought..how come I don't review places? I am going to now...from his day forward! Good or bad...needs to be shared! So my first of many Yelps:)... Rebecca she has been doing my hair for the past 4 years. My husband and his family have went to her for several years...and I see why! She aims to please! Yesterday I had some new highlights/lowlights and haircut and left feeling SO refreshed! She is very flexible. She takes appointments...even on her off days! She never seems to rush with you and ALWAYS makes sure you are happy! Rebecca also did my hair for my wedding reception last year. I have straght/wavy hair. Friends and family did not think it was my hair because of the curls:). As far as my husband...he gets his hair cut...and his back waxed periodically (my hairy beast...lol). I came in with an inspiration picture and ultimately decided on the rainbow/psychedelic set shown in the photos. I understand that nail art is an art form and that things may not look exactly like a reference photo, but what I received was nowhere close to what I showed my technician. The design, shapes, lines, and overall execution were completely different. The pricing was another major issue. I was initially told $120, which then became $135, and my final charge ended up being $185. That is a $65 difference from the original price I was given. I was not expecting to spend $185, especially for a set that I was so unhappy with. I was also asked whether I wanted acrylic or gel and was told the difference was only $10, so I said gel was fine. During the application, I noticed the container being used appeared to be labeled "acrylic." When I questioned the technician about it, I was repeatedly told that gel was being used. I obviously cannot say with certainty what product was ultimately used, but seeing an acrylic label while being told it was gel left me very uncomfortable and confused. And here's the part that honestly bothers me the most: I'm just a mom who wanted to treat herself. I work extremely hard for my money, and I don't take spending $185 lightly. I'm also not someone who enjoys confrontation. When I saw the finished nails, I was uncomfortable and disappointed, but instead of making a scene, I told them they were cute, paid my bill, and left. I cried the entire way home. I didn't walk in expecting perfection. I simply expected to receive something reasonably close to what I showed them, to understand what I was paying for, and to leave feeling like my hard-earned money had been well spent. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I'm posting the inspiration photo alongside the finished set so that people can make their own judgment. $185 is a significant amount of money to me, and I genuinely regret spending it here. I really hope the salon takes this feedback seriously, because no customer should have to leave an appointment feeling this upset after spending that much money.

Got in right away so was happy about that. The stylist took me to a chair and asked what I wanted done. I said, I can't wait to get my roots done, it's been too long, apologized that my hair was dirty, and showed her a picture on my phone of what I wanted. I then said I also feel my dark is getting lighter than my actual hair so I'd like the dark a bit darker to match and some lights. She asked if I want it lighter around my face and asked if I'd like the color to my root in which I said yes to both and I would like a trim and layers around my face. She said she would get me a quote and walked away and came back and said $365. My hair is just past my shoulders and so I asked if that included a haircut. She said no. She said it's two colors so it's two bowls. $150 for the first and $85 for the second. I must have given her a strange look because she said let me go check with my manager. She walked away and came back and said she added wrong and gave me the quote of 265. I asked how much a hair cut would be and she said $85. I figured my birthday is coming up, let's do it and see if this will be my new salon I go to. She puts the color on and the foil is all around my face. I ask how long she had been working in the salon and she said one month. I ask her what just the root would cost figuring if I like her, once this grows out a little, I would come back in just to get the roots done. She said $85. A manager came over and said, You are getting some dark put in? I said, Yes making my dark darker and my light lighter, getting refreshed. She asked if I was getting a trim and I said yes just a trim. I was put under the heater and then taken back to get my hair washed. She then put a toner on and was massaging it into the top of my head for quite some time. She asked what color blond I wanted. I thought that was weird as I thought she was done with the color...was that the dark and she is taking me back to do the light I wondered. I said the same as the picture. She put the towel on my head and said I could go back to the chair. I held the towel on my head until I sat down and took it off. I was shocked to look in the mirror as the inch / inch and a half of white that grew in was still all the way around my face. She came back and asked what side do I part my hair. I looked at her shocked and asked, Are you done with my color? She said yes. I asked why nothing was done with my roots and she said that's a separate procedure that I didn't ask for. I said that's the main reason I came in here. She said, Want me to just blow it dry so I said ok and she blew it dry. Every salon I've ever been to does the highlights and low lights in foil and the touches up the roots and rest of the hair out of the foil with the base color. She questioned, Other than your roots how do you like it? I was baffled and couldn't even see anything other than the white left around my face so she said, I'll get my manager. I walk up to the desk and the manager and stylist come to the desk and don't say anything, they both just looked at me awkwardly. I said, Obviously there was a miscommunication. I asked who would come in and get their highlights and low lights done and get their white roots around their face not done. The manager said she just had someone come in today actually requesting that. I said to her if it was dark roots still, I could see that but not white around my face. I now still have to get my hair done, it doesn't look like my hair was done with all my white roots not even touched. The manager said, I can see that's not what you wanted. Well she could take you back and do your roots but we still would have to charge you $85. I was meeting friends for dinner and did not have the time. I had to go buy some powder root touch up after leaving a salon after almost paying $300 to get my hair done. How does that make sense? You would think the stylist doing my hair, seeing how bad the roots looked would clarify that I want nothing done with the roots. I was hopeful going in but still can't comprehend that a professional stylist would think anyone would want blond and dark brown highlights and low lights all done and keep the white growth so it doesn't look like your hair has been done. So disappointed.

She insisted she HAD to use her Dremel. They should NOT be using the all metal tips: they need to use the tips with the emery board on them. So disappointed in this person. There are products available now. They're fairly new, but when you know the client is uncomfortable from te heat of the drill, nails are breaking, etc., you reevaluate your process. Everyone was friendly when I arrived. I was led back to a private pedicure room almost immediately and treated to a spa pedicure with warm scented water, soft warm towels soothing my feet and legs and pleasant conversation with a lovely lady! The owner checked in on us, asked it if I would like a water and if the towels were soft and holding the heat ok. I felt pampered. I chose a bright neon red and a week and a half later... they look as good as day one. They are more expensive than a nail shop, but I don't go often and wanted the experience. Luckily, I have Venmo bc they couldn't put a tip on my credit card and all I had was a $5. I'd definitely recommend them & will return!

It looked ok at first other than some of my old black dip showing through that wasn't entirely removed..but then a couple days later I started getting a lot of lifting and my nails would get stuck in my hair..I hate that feeling!! I wouldn't complain if it were a couple weeks, but days?? So I went back after 5 days only to get attitude. I also didn't like how spotty the white was - it was uneven and bumpy (difficult to see in pics). She told me that's normal. Um, no it's not! I've been getting dip regularly for a few years and ombré several times. The application was different from what I've gotten in the past, but I decided to give it a chance. She applied it as if I was getting the old school acrylic nails. A true ombré dip is not done this way. Upon trying to fix, she ground my nails thinner which left them more opaque.
