Rude staff. Rude doctor. LISTEN TO THE REST THE REVIEWS - find a different doctor…read more I constantly had issues with, Laura (the manager) and I should have just found another PC - but I just thought "yeah they're rude, but I can deal with that because I can make appointments relatively fast". A mistake that's now cost me health, money and a lot of time. They didn't submit the proper documentation to my insurance on time - even though I called and asked multiple times - each time I was met with a rude tone, as if "we're not stupid - don't ask us again". Well, my insurance confirmed that the office ignored multiple phone calls and faxes trying to get it covered. They lied and wouldn't even try to help resolve the issue - then calling the company that she works for - they couldn't care less. They "looked into" my issues and found no problems. They wouldn't talk to my insurance or care to look at the evidence - they said "we talked with Dr Gallo's staff and everything was done properly". No, it wasn't and that's why I'm not liable for THEIR referrals - because they wouldn't submit it within the timeframe needed and lied about it. We choose professionals to do things like that because it's a complex deal understanding the processes and policies involved. They don't act professional and it's as if they enjoyed my issues - both Dr Gallo and Laura. I'm going to sue them because it's cost me months of treatment, a financial loss and countless hours of my life - not to mention the stress it's put on me. Run away - don't walk - this office is only interested in your money.

First let me say, Im an asthmatic so imagin my suprise when this doc recently refused to refill my…read moreasthma meds...and her staff had the nerve to call me and tell me that my most recent request for asthma meds was, "inappropriate". They never even inquired if I was okay.... wow!!! (Patient for more than 5 years) The staff are horribly rude, Renee has been nice and personable at most visits, but she can be rude paticularly when you ask her to work with other practitioners, except those that are her friends of course. She set up a referral with an equally as expensive doc, her friend, who was rude and incensitive! When I decided to go to another doc for a 2nd opinion, her office wouldn't share all of my medical information even though I'd signed the releases, but she shared all my info with her friend. The final straw was when I asked to pick up a copy of my full file and her admin told me nobody at the office could do this until Monday. Im like its just making copies and the staff becomes upset and says, "Ms. I'm working the front desk so I don't have time to do this and I don't deal with medical records..." I stayed with her for years because she really used to be great! She would spend time with patients, her staff were funny and warm. She, ironically now, helped stabilize my asthma and for that I am still grateful. But later when she opened her own practice and she and her staff became rude, inattentive and incensitive, I stayed because I really didn't have any health problems, she was close and i could get in quickly despite the snide comments about my health condition made in front of UA interns! But NO MORE! Im getting a new doctor who will provide asthma medications to asthmatics! She gets 2 stars because they get you in quickly and I know there's a good doctor inside her, though I have not seen the good one since she opened her own practice. Do yourself a favor, look at the google reviews and find another doctor.

I was a patient of Dr Sonderer for several years. Even liked him enough to have our daughter and my…read morehusband see him. ALL that is changed. I left after he brushed me off with my chest pain "anxiety" and after my decreasing my dose of medications like he asked, he then flat out refused to fill because "it's been too long since you filled it" (I decreased based on HIS request). Then he tells our daughter about a medication I'm taking. (Isn't this a HIPPA violation?) I changed after I had a cardiac arrest. My husband has an appointment with a new PCP but not until the end of July. He needs a pre op visit prior to that. I just had a huge argument with Sheri at the front office. She initially did not want to make the appointment "He is changing doctors". Well, until he does they are still responsible for his care! I told her that if she refused to make the appointment my next call would be to our attorney for abandonment of patient care. She made the appointment. What a way to solidify that we need a new doctor/office. Would not recommend this doctor or this office.

This is long, but if you're shopping for a doctor, please read the whole thing…read more It's so hard to move to a new place and try to find a doctor without a trusted referral. I'll spare you the sob story, but when my husband developed Pain (which turned out to be multiple kidney stones) last spring, we happened upon a good review of Dr. Eric Sonderer online. After letting my husband suffer through multiple visits, he finally did refer him to a urologist who "blasted" some of the larger stones (of the 13)! It was a horrible 4 months for my husband. If you've had kidney stones, you know. My husband liked the doc's laidback style, so I went to him with a sinus infection in the fall. During that visit, he took it upon himself to diagnose a skin "condition" and prescribe a topical medication. (I found him a bit arrogant, but tolerable.) The medication didn't do a thing for my skin. A dermatologist told me he made the wrong call. And I ended up visiting a sinus specialist for the same sinus infection that took months to clear. Shortly after my visit, I saw a suspicious mole pop up on my ear, I called for a referral. He did give me a good REFERRAL, I'll give him that. This spring, his office started calling, hounding both of us to schedule physicals. My husband needed blood work and, by the way, where was my blood work?? I have mine done through my Gyn. They argued a bit. Cajoled me to send the results over. Shortly after the calls, my husband had some recurring abdominal discomfort. I scheduled an appointment with Sonderer. For the second time (he did this with the kidney stones, too), Sonderer send him home recommending he take a laxative!!! (Did I mention he "prescribed" 2 beers a day as a "preventive" treatment for kidney stones? "One beer for each kidney.") Bottom line: NO blood tests ordered. My husband is 59 years old and they had already been badgering us about blood tests! So... I call for an appointment today. They can get him in in 4 weeks. If he has the blood work done early (we're talking cholesterol screen, etc.) it would not "be any good" for the physical. (Wah??) Because? "That is a new Medicare law." I said "We don't have Medicare." Last time I checked you have to be 65. "Well, it's a new law," she says. We pay DEARLY for our medical insurance out of our own pocket. And despite the ineptitude of the health care system, I'm holding Dr. Sonderer responsible for his part. We're finding someone with enough ethics to authorize basic, yearly blood tests for God's sake.
