I was lucky. I needed a last minute dental exam for my DD Form 2813 for my guard unit and they were able to take me the same day. Their office is one amongst many other dentists and at first I felt lost in sea of them given the almost interchangeability of the look of the offices. Number 10 was what set Mark Truhe's office apart and of course his name. Upon entering I beheld the sight of his waiting room. The usual chairs but with the perk of an aquarium and mini-fridge with eight ounce water bottles. There were some charging ports behind chairs and I was desperate for a recharge but without the time. Checking in I met the queens of the office who keep the patients happy and the schedule full but organized (Kindle?) I was provided the new patient paperwork and started filling in my medical history and such. A short while later I was escorted to one of the dental technician sections where I was given "the Chair." The area had a wall outlet that I quickly used to start charging my phone. After which I leaned back and watched the monitor and took in my surroundings. In came the dentist, Mark Truhe, and so began my exam. His personality set me at ease. I was impressed with his charm and friendliness. Of course, It didn't hurt that I got a clean bill of health for my teeth. Good news from a dentist always puts me in a good mood! My exam felt like five minutes although I am sure it was more. I'm just relieved I got it done before my weekend drill. Settling up on the bill and paperwork I parted ways with the staff and grabbed a drink of water before I left. I've been going to Dr Truhe for about 8 years. I get a cleaning twice a year. I had one filling for a small chip in my tooth.

Unfortunately for me: I had a Catastrophic Tooth Event. Fortunately for me: I found Dr. Truhe and Staff. I spoke to several Dentist offices in the area this morning. Kendall (sp?) at Dr. Truhe's office was the only one who really seemed interested in helping me solve my tooth problem. She was kind, helpful and informative. Because of her I got the help I needed today. Dr. Truhe is very kind, informative, patient and funny. He made me feel at ease with my situation and my treatment options. He answered all my questions and never once behaved as if I wasn't his only patient. During my procedure he behaved professionally, explained what and why he was doing what he was doing and made me feel comfortable the entire time. His assistant, her name slips my terrible mind, was also very kind and professional. From beginning to end, from the time I made the call to the time I left his office today, Dr. Truhe made a very positive impression on me. Just moved to the area and needed a new dentist and was also interested in a cosmetic procedure. Dr. Truhe's staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. During my consultation the dental assistant answered several questions and was extremely helpful. Dr. Truhe came in and was very friendly and explained several options. Turned out I was able to bypass an expensive option for a significantly cheaper one. Dr. Truhe and his staff saved me hundreds of dollars. I work in the dental field in So Cal and my niece lives in Chico. She called me in tears because she had been in pain. They got her right in and took care of her in a timely manner. Even though she needs to go back, she can at least sleep now. She said the doctor is super nice and she was given the best treatment. All of the staff there are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Dr. Truhe is courteous, thorough, and takes the time to answer all my questions without seeming bothered, like some other dentists and doctors seem to act. He has a really great disposition and makes diagnoses simple to understand. I really appreciate how clean and inviting the office itself is and how everyone makes me feel welcome. I am a white knuckle dental client. That being said, I felt welcomed and understood at this office. Everyone is kind, gentle and skilled at their jobs. The hygenist did a great job. The process did not cause pain. Dr Truhe has a gentle demeanor and was so supportive when I began crying after receiving bad news of needing to have a tooth extracted and explained all my options which I am not looking forward to but I feel I will be in good hands. The front office staff is friendly and efficient. I look forward to developing a relationship with this office. I will still be a white knuckled client. That's just me. read more

This is by far my favorite dentist office to date & I've been in more than a handful. It started out as an emergency visit. A family member of an elderly lady that I take care of recommended me. I'm petrified of dentists :-\ When I called, Shelly, the front desk lady was so great, very kind, and helpful in addressing my needs. After meeting her in person her energy/vibe was so positive and light. It really helped my anxiety/fear of dentists. They got me in within 15 minutes of being there, I probably would've gone back sooner but I was filling out my first timers paperwork. (two guys that came in within that 15 minutes were greeted by Shelly as they just walked into the back to be seen... No waiting for them at all. And all the office seemed to know everyone's name which made me feel good like they really care) The dentist, Dr Truhe, doesn't make you feel dumb or like he's judging you like I've felt at other dentists /drs. He explained everything thoroughly and answered my questions, even the ones I thought were mildly silly. After they did quick x-rays he decided that I needed to have emergency oral surgery before the 4th of July long weekend. His office made all of the calls to multiple different surgeons and got me squeezed in same day at one of them (Dr Brownfield... Super great also!). The service here was great. From the desk to the back to the doctor himself. The office was so welcoming. It had a beautiful salt water fish tank with tons of fish and one of those fancy single cup coffee machines with too many flavors to count. I just can't say enough good stuff. Oh! I don't have any insurance... And I felt that they were pretty reasonable as far as the price of my appointment today. I will definitely be going back soon. read more

I had an emergency while traveling out of town, in the Chico area. It has late in the afternoon, and a crown came off. I had business to do, and really needed some help. I started calling for an opening, and found Dr. Truhe's office who could squeeze me. So thankful to get someone who would take me. The entire staff was very welcoming, and treated me as if I were one of their regular patients. Dr. Truhe was able to re-install my crown as good as new all in less than 15 minutes from start to finish. Just finished my first visit with Dr. Truhe. The overall experience was great. The staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and great at what they do. Today my son (age: 3) went in for his second appointment with dr. Truhe. This is the first dentist my son has ever been too and though he is slightly more expensive due to being out of network for our insurance, i will still be taking my son here because we both enjoy coming here. The first visit was very straight forward and we were brought straight back and into a chair (that was readily fit with a booster wedge) and the assistant (i forget her name but we love her too!) immediately changed the station to cartoons for my son. Both the assistant and Dr. Truhe were very patient with him as he asked them "why?" For probably the three hundredth time as they explained to him everything they were doing and even let him mess around with some of the tools before they used them to make him more comfortable. The second appointment was just as great and my son is extremely excited when we tell him he has a dentist appointment! According to the pictures on here there is a kids waiting area, although we have never seen it. However, that is probably due to the fact that we never really have to wait to be taken back! I would definitely reccomend Dr. Truhe to anyone looking for a new dentist! read more
