Oddly enough, the Maritime Bus station in Truro seems much bigger than the one in downtown Halifax. It has a convenient location right off the highway as well.
The place looks very dated, and it doesn't look like anyone's paid much attention to its upkeep lately.
The thing I hate the most is when the bus pulls up to the Truro station, and they let all the people lining up just smoke up a storm right by the entrance to the bus and to the station. When the bus door opens, the cabin fills up with cigarette smoke as the bus' intake vents suck up all the fumes. If you're allergic to smoke or not used to cigarette fumes, it can be quite an eye watering experience.
What I like better about this station than the one in downtown Halifax, is that there is more seating and room inside the building so you don't have to freeze to death on the curb while waiting for the bus to pick you up. read more
