I had the Carnitas tacos however I think I actually got steak. Served with rice and beans. This is a big dish. I had leftovers a day later. Beer was cool, definitely not ice cold in the mug. Our food, well the ground beef taco was very greasy, my husband enchiladas were "horrible" (his words), his taco was greasy as well. Rice tasted like it was made the day before. And the beans, well mist certainly out of a can. Didn't take a picture, we were sweating to death in there and the grease was making us both sick to our stomachs! Ambiance, hot and sticky! We will not be back.

Immediate excellent service by the host, then later server who got waters, chips and salsa. The large menu was looked over by the group. Various items ordered. The chips and salsa tasty. The restaurant is quite expansive and was clean during my visit. Growing up in Muncie this was Butterfields, a higher end eatery. Puerto Vallarta has at least one other location in town. The food hit the table at the same time within 15 minutes. Everyone enjoyed their Mexican dishes. Follow up on food and water refills was conducted. I enjoyed my Buritto California. A smooth checkout with no hitches. They were kind enough to split the checks. Absolutely nothing wrong, so with that a full 5 stars.

It is in downtown Muncie with primarily street parking from what I can tell, although there are some lots around also. When you enter, the indoor dining is to the left, with a bar separated off towards the front of the building and a mix of booths and tables to make up the primary dining space. To the right of the entrance, they appear to have outdoor dining for when the weather is pleasant. The service is prompt in both attentiveness to the table and delivery of the meals. The chips are strong but don't have much flavor while the salsa is soupy and also not our favorite, but we still happily eat them. They have a separate section on their menu devoted to vegetarians at very reasonable prices that we did on our previous visit (my wife tried the Chile Poblano ($11) and I did the Fajita Taco Salad ($11). This time we each decided to try the evening's special, the Burrito Bowl ($9) with shrimp (may have added $2, but I forgot to check the bill to verify). The bowl included rice, beans, cheese, guac, lettuce, and sour cream. We each said we would do it again. Wish this place was closer to us, we would be regulars.

The girl making it was super generous with fillings! They have a kids menu, so my niece and nephew were able to get what they wanted for a bargain price. The only thing that I would critique is that I felt the chips were subpar. We didn't have an issue with parking as we visited on Sunday at lunch time, but I could see parking being a challenge so near to campus during the week and/or evening.
