My only reason for landing at 4 stars instead of 5 was the flavor. Everything was good and clearly well prepared, but a couple of the savory dishes felt like they needed just a little more seasoning or something to make the flavors really pop. We received rice we never ordered, a $7 side of guacamole literally the size of my pinky, and we were charged extra for salsa even though the menu says unlimited chips and salsa. The worst part? My friend's taco was forgotten. We reminded them, they put it in, and 30 minutes later we were still waiting. When we finally asked, we were told it had supposedly been brought out and sent back. No one ever brought it to us. Then they brought us a taco that had apparently been sitting on the counter and literally threw it down on the table. No apology. No check-in. No hospitality. I stopped by the bar and asked the bartender for a cup of ice. He acknowledged me but never came back with it. While I was waiting, another guest next to me mentioned he was also having trouble getting service at the bar, while other customers appeared to be getting helped. I don't know the circumstances and don't want to make assumptions about why that happened, but it definitely felt strange. After waiting several minutes, I went back to my original server and she had the ice for me in about a minute, which reinforced my overall impression that the service team is generally very attentive.
