Absolutely amazing experience! The food and drinks were delicious, but what truly made our visit exceptional was our waitress, Samantha C.! Her service, attentiveness, and hospitality were phenomenal. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful experience. Everything was perfect from start to finish! 100/10 recommend! We'll definitely be coming back! read more

We did the enchiladas as an appetizer. So delicious. We did the sour cream on the side - way to go. Aguachile verdes were bombbbbb. We did the crudo with pulpo and scallops. Heads up - scallops is a $20 add on. But they were so tender and good. Delicious meal overall. Need to come back to try the micheladas. read more

Mariscos Choix was a good experience overall. The food was flavorful, and just about everything we tried hit the spot. We started with the Aguachile, which had a great balance of lemon and spice, very refreshing and well seasoned. I also ordered the Tacos Sinaloenses, which were simple but good. My favorite taco was the Taco de Mar y Tierra, which really stood out in flavor. The restaurant is pretty big with music playing, giving it a lively vibe. The host and waitstaff were very friendly and welcoming. Parking can be a bit tough, if you can't find street parking nearby, you'll need to park across the street in the shopping center near Del Taco. Overall, a solid spot and a fun atmosphere. read more

Friends brought me here for an early birthday celebration. First timer & was beyond excited to try out the aguachiles verdes. Big fan of the decor & live band, really helped set the vibe. Service was on the nose, never without tostadas. Started with some delicious shrimp empanadas. Also enjoyed some refreshing cocktails on top of Mexican candy shots. Mezcal drinks are definitely the move, try the Huatulco! Overall, would definitely come back to try out more of the menu. read more

Place is alright. I feel like it use to be much better before the renovation. So would recommend. Haven't eaten there in a while mostly to go but walking in to pick up the place looks nice read more

Moises was amazing in recommending food drinks, etc. He helped with choosing what exactly I wanted. The micheladas are delicious didn't try the cocktails but the michis were a great house mix. I got the 4 golopes which was great and they give tostadas for this read more

We visited Mariscos Choix for my mom's birthday. The wait was about 30 minutes on a Sunday afternoon. The food quality was excellent, and everything we ordered was delicious. I tried the Nemo drink--it was super cute and well presented, but it had a lot of ice and not quite enough cocktail for my taste. Overall, the ambiance and service were great, and the staff made our experience enjoyable. As a first-time visitor, I also received a free aguachile coupon to use on a future visit, which was a nice touch. I'll definitely be back! read more

Our server Eduardo was amazing Great night with the family. Delicious food and very cool music read more

Came here for dinner on a Saturday night and lucked out with live music. We were a group of five and expected a long wait, but were seated in about 30 minutes. There's a bar area where you can grab a drink while you wait, which helps. We started with the chicharrones de pescado, crispy and a 10/10 with the dipping sauce. The shrimp empanadas were okay. I ordered the tacos de pulpo zarandeados and loved them, the avocado really brought everything together. My cousin had the camarones al mojo de ajo with rice and beans and said they had a nice spicy kick. Modern space, fun crowd, and people singing along to the live music, it was definitely a vibe. The seating area by the live music is very tight but the atmosphere made up for it. Overall the service was great. read more

The food and service was amazing! Great space and ambiance for dinner. Will be back for brunch!

My wife and I were in the area, and Mariscos Choix looked like a nice place to stop. The atmosphere is great, they have live music, and the staff was good. Unfortunately, the food didn't match the vibe or the prices. We ordered a campechana, fish ceviche, habanero aguachile, and four beers. Everything was definitely picture-worthy, mostly because the seafood was propped up by the most cucumbers I have ever seen in my life. The shrimp tasted off and had a very strong fishy flavor. Our bill came out to $187, which was insane for the quality and amount of food we received. If you want good mariscos, I would go somewhere else. If you want dope Instagram photos with live music in the background, this is your spot. Never again for us. read more

Overpriced and definitely not the place for morisco's. We ordered the Aguachiles Negros and the Botana 4 Padres, and both tasted like Maggi sauce and lemon with powder chili. NOTHING SPECIAL. I even asked our waitress if the two dishes had similar flavors because I wanted to try something different, and she said they didn't, but they ended up tasting almost exactly the same. Overall, the food was very mediocre, especially for the price. If you're looking for authentic, flavorful morisco's, go to Morenos in Lynwood instead. I will give them this the oyster shots were fresh, flavorful best thing we had. Services was great. read more

In the mood for light seafood dinner, thankfully, we got here just in time before it got crazy busy. Seafood tostadas and strawberry margarita were perfect and hit the spot! Me and my girlfriend came in for some tacos on a Friday afternoon and it didn't look too busy, I had actually found this spot by looking best place to find fish tacos in Downey and this was the highest rated, we had fantastic service from our server Alondra! She was extremely knowledgeable of the menu and gave us many recommendations, as it was our first time here we felt very welcomed and we were greeted by the manager who was also extremely kind! Overall 10/10 food, service and the place is extremely nice and has a wonderful environment around the restaurant! Thank you Alondra! read more

Moises was such a great server, he was able to answer all of our questions about the menu and make some yummy recommendations... we tried the pulpo sarandeado tacos and the sinaloense tacos both delicious!! I love this place, all the food is solid and the ambiance is nice. We got margaritas for the happy hour but tried to Carajillo, it was SO GOOD. Highly recommend, made by our amazing bartender, Eduardo :-) Thank you Eduardo and staff read more

Samantha gave us amazing service, make sure my mom's birthday was memorable and my daughter had everything she would ask for.

This location does not have parking so look for parking on the street or what other customers did such as myself was parking in the parking lot right next to it at the plaza where Del taco is. When we arrived, the host told us it was gonna be a 30 minute wait at around 7:30 PM on Friday night so she gave us the option to sit at the bar so we did. Right off the bat they serve you chips and salsa, but the chips are tostadas and the salsa was pretty spicy. For an appetizer, we got an order of guacamole which came out to $16.99, which is extremely ridiculous for the price didn't know till afterwards since it didn't have a price on the menu. For the entrée we ordered the Molcajete which also didn't come with a price on the menu, which came out to about to $55 which came with a nice big bone marrow, Asada cooked rare even though we asked for medium, pieces of chicken, three pieces of shrimp wrapped in bacon, nopales, block of cheese, green onions, half an avocado. It also included a side of rice and beans in one order of tortillas we wanted another order of tortillas which came out to an additional $2.99 Overall, the food was flavorful, but the prices were some of these things are ridiculous specifically for the guacamole and the up charge for extra tortillas. The ambiance is nice and modern. They have mostly outdoor seating which looked pretty cozy. Our server was great too and the other staff that attended to us were great as well. If you wanna come somewhere with cool vibes this is the place for you but honestly, I've been to better hole in the walls that offer the same items for fair prices. I would come back to try their other seafood options read more

Samantha provided excellent customer service and was very polite and attentive. The food was delicious as well. Will be returning!

A great birthday celebration I had the fried fish I loved it. My friend had the great idea of asking for gloves! That really made my meal so pleasant nothing worse than fingering a fish. I'll be doing that every time we eat fish now my friends loved the octopus tacos. The fajitas were delicious. There was like eight of us and we were able to all share one order of the churros we had a great time. The service was amazing. Five stars #ValleyDowneyCrewGoVentures. read more
