Enjoyed my dinner, tasty food, great atmosphere, very friendly staff, definitely coming back again!:)

Mario's is one of my favorite Italian restaurants in Dublin, we go there now and then to catch up with our friends, food is always tasty and fresh and staff makes real effort every time we come,it's a very small place but real cozy, they have heating there and it's not noisy so we can enjoy our conversation :) Highly recommend!

Chicken pasta and veggie/cheese pizza! Such great comfort food!

Great spot In Ranelagh! Tons of seating, great menu items and nice staff. I've been here twice now and everything was served hot and so dang tasty. I started with their mozzarella bites this time - great breaking as they are fried. They could have been a bit more melted in the center, but I'd def recommend them with the honey/Dijon sauce! I split the mozzarella/goats cheese/pesto pizza and the chicken/pancetta/leek cream sauce fettuccine with a friend! With a medium pizza and full pasta there was plenty of food for leftovers! We walked up on a Tuesday and were sat right away! This is the nice restaurant you're looking for without it being too pricey or pretentious!!

Growing up in an Italian American family, all my Italian food was home cooked and delicious and living in the NY/NJ area we were spoiled with arguably the best pizza in the world. Unfortunately, Ireland seems to be filled with frozen pizza chains lacking in a bit of authenticity. When my sister came to visit recently, we were really in the mood for Italian and we decided to give Mario's a try and we weren't disappointed. The interior is a bit rustic with wooden tables, you don't feel like you're in a Dolmio advert, but rather you're transported back to a country house in Italy. We didn't try the pizzas but were upset with ourselves when we saw other people being served. I had chicken with tarragon sauce, which was absolutely delicious and I was upset that there wasn't more. The service was quick and there was a buzz in the restaurant that made the meal warm and enjoyable. On another occasion a friend and I went for a walk on a freakishly warm and sunny evening and decided to sit in the outside seating area of Mario's. This time I decided I must definitely get the pizza and was delighted that it was a delicious Neapolitan thin crust pizza with fresh ingredients on the top. it was lovely to sit outside in the cafe area in Ranelagh and people watch, but after our food was served we were informed by one of the service staff that we were allowed to have our food outside this time, but in future we should know that the outside seating area is only for those drinking coffee. A bit of a let down, but I wouldn't be opposed to having a coffee outside in the future.

Typical specials on the board, they do good lunchtime deal here too

Decent Italian, but nothing special unfortunately. Ordered the carbonara, garlic bread, and minestrone soup. Nothing special really.

We ordered two glasses of Barbera wine as our cocktail, followed by calamari, pappardelle al funghi and ravioli Asiago. The wine was perfect and complimented our meal. Our server Massimo brought out some bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar to start our meal. The calamari was amongst the best I've ever had, the breading was light and crispy. Both our pasta dishes were divine and authentic. At the end of our meal we had some espresso and were given complementary limoncello shots. Il Vicoletto was amongst the best restaurants we visited during our trip to Dublin. I highly recommend for anyone looking to eat great Italian food.

This place gets packed everyday for dinner, so try to call or come early to book in advance if you are coming for dinner. I'm addicted to this place!! Like I said; I tried other places but this one tops them all.

This place shocked me!…read more I found San Lorenzo's via Yelp, so thank you Yelpers! It is one of the few places in Dublin that takes American Express cards. So you can leave home without it when you come here When we asked if they had a table they said only if you are up from the table in an hour. We were hungry so we agreed The environment is dark and tasteful and lively The wine list is not good, but the food and the staff make up for everything The avocado and caprese salad was awesome The shrimp in wine sauce was off the charts delicious The chicken breast wrapped in prosciutto was delicious and the polenta and creamed corn were spectacular The monk fish wrapped in crispy pancetta on a bed of pesto basil was amazing To top it off we had the Nutella cheesecake with Carmel sauce and gelato with biscotti crumbs on top- this was surreal!!! All this and we were done with all the food, a bottle of wine and cappuccinos in an hour and never felt rushed If you are in the mood for Italian food, come to San Lorenzo's

After finishing the starter, it took a bit too long for the main dish to come out. Once it did come out, we were kind of full from the first dish. The wife for the Zucchini Primvera. The pasta seemed liked it could have been cooked a bit more. It probably needed another minute or so before it was Al Dente. Overall, the food was good and I would come back for sure.

Why I'll go back: wide variety of sauces lets you satisfy any craving…read moreYou HAVE to order: the arancini (how's that for a curveball) Tony's Tip: Given the generous portion size and wide variety of sauces, if you can do a group of 4-6 you'll be able to sample a lot more of the menu. Things I liked about Sprezzatura: - whatever you're in the mood for (marinara, carbonara, bolognese...), it's probably on the menu that night - the sauces are rich/heavy. I like, but maybe not everyone will. - generous portions - super friendly service Things I wasn't crazy about: - the finish on the table left a stickiness that was annoying as we sat through our meal - the kitchen door kept slamming shut (loudly) with every staff pass-through and needs some sort of better hinge or soft close mechanism - each pasta dish was a bit overrun with sauce. I might have soaked it up with some bread, but the amount was unnecessary for the pasta alone. We ordered three pastas dishes. I actually liked the one I didn't order the most - an amatriciana-like red sauce with a little spice. My wife enjoyed the Fettucini, Nduja and Mascarpone. The Mafaldine Cashel Blue (cheese) and Roasted Walnuts, which also had caramelized onions in it, was actually not as sweet as I expected (or wanted) it to be. What we did agree on, though, was how delicious the arancini was (we went with spicy sausage). I would lead with that...but don't get carried away. The wine choices were limited, but solid. And the price was very reasonable. I'd go back again (if I actually lived in Ireland!), mostly when I have a fix for a certain flavor. There was a lot of delivery business taking place during our visit. I suspect these sauces don't travel well (no firsthand experience with that), so dine in seems like the better call to me.
