Pizza On Fire - Anchovies, peppers

There were some seating outside but it was only the one table for two people. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. The only downfall was that they ran out of meat sauce so the lasagna was out of the question but they made up for it in the pizza flavours. The menu is pretty straightforward; they offer multiple types of pizza ranging from classic meat lovers to unique ones like smoked salmon or tandoori chicken. I ended up ordering the four cheese because I was in a cheesy mood. The pizza was amazing. The crust had a nice puff up but was not so crunch that it would cut the roof of your mouth. The sauce-to-dough ratio was perfect, and neither ingredient overpowered the other. The cheeses they used (Ricotta, Feta, Bocconcini and cream cheese) didn't clash with each other, and it just seemed to be a slice of cheesy goodness with every bite. The pizza was not greasy, so no mountain of napkins was needed. A must-try if your into pizza and like my nannu says in Sicilian "Veni e pigghiati 'u divertimentu" (Come and enjoy it already).

Mark's Pizza is a small pizza place at a rather obscure intersection in an unassuming plaza. Don't…read morebe fooled by the simple location and the charming, home-drawn logo: the pizzas are unique, with the most flavorful tomato sauce and mozzarella, delightful pepperoni and an assortment of artisan quality toppings. Mark's turns out some of the most flavorful pizzas in Pickering and East Scarborough, and I've tried a lot of pizza! Each week, they have a different feature pizza, and the full size pizzas are similar to a New York style, with the thin, crisp bottom crust surrounded by a heftier, lightly charred edge crust. Full pizzas are ordered in advance on line, but they have Italian sandwiches and pizza slices to go (subject to availability). The slices have a thicker crust than the full pizzas, and look delicious. There is limited seating for eating in, and Mark's mainly does a take-out business. I went on line earlier today, and ordered a 6:00 pick-up. The online order system is efficient and user-friendly. We had a pepperoni pizza as well as this week's special, a meatball and pesto pizza. Both were excellent, and the tomato sauce really stood out. It was garlicy, herbaceous and delightfully savory; quite different from the bland, sweet tomato sauce served up by most of the large chains. The crust was flavorful, and lightly charred to perfection, giving it a slightly smoky flavor. As a crust snob, I was very pleased! The meatball and pesto pizza was really good, with flavorful, juicy mini-meatballs and delightfully garlic-forward pesto. The pesto, made from pumpkin seeds rather than the traditional pine nuts, was so good with bold garlic and basil flavours. The pepperoni pizza was superb, with the cup-and-char, New York style pepperoni. My whole family was delighted!! In short, the pizzas are remarkably flavourful, and their preparation shows time, care, and attention to quality ingredients, as well as a superior crust. It was worth the drive from Pickering, and with the efficiency of Hwy. 2, took only about 15 minutes. Parking is a bit tight, but there is frequent turnover of parking spots. Thanks to Chloe H. at the counter for friendly service with helpful recommendations for me to consider for future orders. And there will certainly be future orders from me!

I first found…read morethis place on Instagram from a friend's story a few months ago and ever since it's been on my list of places I'd love to try. I finally managed to visit for the first time about 2 weeks ago when I was in Scarborough. Since we had a food tour that day, we only tried the Ferrero Rocher crepe which we both loved. The addition of the chopped walnuts makes the crepe the perfect sweetness. I went again a few days ago and got to try the following: * Chicken basket appetizer (loved how juicy and tender the chicken was!) * Something meaty pizza (the pizza had the right amount of toppings and everything tasted amazing - though I don't usually eat salami, every topping worked perfectly well on this pizza) * Bueno crepe - loved how generous they were on the topping and love the way they decorate it. We loved this crepe and if you're a chocolate lover, then this one is surely for you. * Ferrero milkshake - this was definitely one of the best milkshakes I've had so far! I strongly recommend this place and it's a great place to hangout with friends or family for a late night out or anything you're craving something sweet. One of my favourite things about this place is the wall art. Loved the touch of the CN tower, basketball and the neon signs.

The toppings were packed with flavour, and every slice was delicious. The service was quick, so we didn't have to wait long for our food. The space is on the smaller side, so seating can be a bit limited, but we were still able to find a spot without any issues. The portions were generous too. We had a few slices left over to take home, which was a nice bonus. Overall, a really tasty pizza and a spot I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu.

Nice crust with a good chew. Good amount of toppings. Really solid New York style pizza. Dave Portnoys pizza review went to their downtown location and gave it a 8.4 if you follow him. There was no parking on Avenue but I found some parking on the residential street just North of the restaurant. The inside is really nice with comfy seating. Not a ton of seating but I think they get a lot of takeout. Service was good but I did have to wait more than the 20 mins they said as they seemed to be dealing with online orders.
