My wife is from Tipp City & every time we visit the first stop is Marion s for their Deluxe pizza. Now, I'm from NYC & pizza is different but I do see the draw to this style pie with the ground sausage so finely ground along with pepperoni & plentiful amount of veggies & the square slices. The ambience is fun with the fresco style cafe vibe. The help is always friendly and the food is consistent. I have also been to the Miamisburg & Mason locations which provide the same feel. Prices are very affordable, so if you haven't tried, do so, as it is a Dayton tradition. read more

Just don't.... This is the golden corral of pizza. worst possible ingredients put together by the lowest tier of employees at any pizza chain, and served to you and in a decrepit excuse for a restaurant. Not to mention the ordering and payment process is absolutely ridiculous. Even if it was free, you would feel like you were getting ripped off Just gamble on any other pizzeria in town, it will surely be better food, better for you, and comparable price. read more

Excellent food!! Friendly and fast service!! Highly recommend!! Plenty of seating and great portions!!

Not my favorite location, but the pizza is always the same at whichever one I visit. The food is delicious and the staff is always polite.

This is a Dayton area original and is a thin crust pizza. I am a sauce guy and they just use sauce straight from the can without adding any seasonings. The pizza was cooked great and the flavor was good (sauce needed work). You have to order your food in one spot and pay then go get drinks for another spot and pay again with no free drink refills. This location had a wide variety of tables from seating 2 seating 10 with a party room available. read more

Ok, we moved out of the Dayton area 20yrs ago and when we go back to visit family, Marion's is ALWAYS a must have when in town. Edge to edge pizza cut in small square is a long time tradition we always enjoy. The girls get the deluxe and I usually get a personal for me and mix it up. There are several places in town, we have always had a great experience and enjoy the casual atmosphere to enjoy catching up with the family. Definitely swing in (my fav is sausage, bacon and green pepper). Cheers! read more

We decided to try this place based on the reviews, this place is a local favorite so chances are the bad reviews are coming from non locals. We are not locals and we found the sevice and food really good considering the place was packed and looked kid friendly inside. The pizza reminds me of the Pizza Kings in Indiana and way better than the chain pizzas. Not your typical pizza joint but really good pizza. The pizza was good, the salad was decent, but the workers were less than enthusiastic. Besides, the guy who you get your drinks from. Great place, a bit noisy but we had a gang of nearly 20 people. All our food arrived hot, fresh and delicious!! The pizza is so good, great crust and fresh toppings. You order at the counter and they call your number. I still will give 5 stars even if noisy. This place is so popular! Oh, be patient. Pizza was great! So why only 3 stars you ask... Well here we go.. Pros- good pizza, cooked to perfection and was crispy just like we like it. Not cheap on the toppings either. Staff is friendly. Good job guys Good party place for kids Cons- no refills on soda is my biggest complaint. Have to serve yourself and Pizza is on the pricy side. So far it was still a 4 star but when we entered the bathroom, it dropped to a 3 star. Bathroom was dirty. The hand dryer was broken and no napkins to dry hands. It's very noisy. Still beats the hell out of Pizza Hut though read more

I think we had to have been on an episode of Punked. I came from out of town to visit my daughter and son-n-law. He spoke highly of this place, so we went for lunch. My daughter and I ordered salads and garlic bread. It took over 45 minutes to receive our food, which was subpar at best. The cheese wasn't even melted on the bread, which was their excuse for taking 45 minutes. But this was only after complaining several times, then one of the employees called my daughter "stupid" and screamed "F you" at my son-law, when he reacted to her calling my daughter stupid. Also sat there and watched another worker chewing on a straw and flinging her saliva all around the food that was waiting to go out. So over all, it was an interesting experience. I guess the town I live in has classier people or something. I feel sorry for that woman's offspring. read more

I've been eating at Marions for about 30 years. Today was my worse experience ever. I work across the street and orders a pizza( the same order twice a week) Large super cheese..... I had a coupon downloaded on my phone for 25% off. When I arrived I had a difficult time getting my coupon up and the young lady that was mopping the floor was irritated with me. It was 30 min before closing ( I just finished work)...I am older and have a difficult time with smart phones and coupons download I finally got the coupon up after a minute and gave it to her She told the cook that I was a dumb bitch.... I kind of ignored it...got my pizz, went to my car and the woman behind me came out and had heard her...she said that I should tell the manager...I didn't...but this was my last visit there read more

Excellent pizza! There were four pizzas all together in our party and all were delicious! Their sauce stands out, even underneath extra cheese and three to four toppings. The crust is neither thick and doughy or chewy. It's a great thin and crispy crust. Some pizza crusts take away from the pizza because it is drug down by all this extra doughy crust- or is just "there" with a slightly chewy platform. This actually ADDS to the pizza and I'm not really a thin crust devotee. I can't stand a super doughy pizza with little sauce. This had the right amount and a good balance of flavor. I had extra cheese, pepperoni, and pine ale. It was perfect and *just* the right amount of browning on the cheese. Four stars because there were some limitations to toppings and no garlic sauce. Whether this is coronavirus related or not, I don't know. But one person in the party wanted hamburger on their pizza and they didn't have it. Nor do they appear to have green olives or artichokes- my favorite. Despite those minor things, we enjoyed some DELICIOUS pizza and considering I ate two meals from my three topping pizza, it is a good deal too. read more

First time eating here in a long time. The pizza itself is very good. Cut into small squares, good supply of toppings. The sausage is in little pieces and addictive. Very good. The only negatives are the large pizza is only 13" in diameter. That is a medium at some places and the deluxe was nearly $20 each. That's way too expensive for that size. They do have a decent craft beer selection. Pitchers of beer are 12.99 which is expensive as well. Again, great pizza but too expensive for what you get. read more

My husband and I are from Charlotte, NC but lived in Kettering for a year, and at the time we didn't appreciate Marion's. But whenever we come back for a visit the first stop, even before we check into the hotel, is Marion's. They never disappoint. The crust is thin and crunchy, the sauce and cheese are flavorful, and the toppings are always fresh and well distributed. My husband always orders a large pepperoni and bacon pizza and a small deluxe (which I pretty much each by myself) if you're in the Dayton area do yourself a favor and go to Marion's read more

I only really come here because it seems to be a family and friends hot spot. This place does accomodate a ton of people if you have a large group which is very nice. They also have a nice little arcade area. The pizza is cut up into squares and is a thin crust, it is a little expensive as pizza goes, and they only accept cash. I do think my first experience here I loved it, but as i've gone multiple times i've just found the pizza mediocre. read more

I called in to order a pizza at this location around 2:30 pm. Because it's anniversary week, pizzas are half price & this place is packed. I waited about 15 minutes once I arrived because there was a long line of folks picking up their pizzas. I ordered a 13" Marion's Super Cheese which has pepperoni, sausage, green peppers, onions & mushrooms($19.75). I substituted sauerkraut for the mushrooms & it was yum! Their pizza is thin crust & it's good but I still prefer Cassano's which also cuts their pizza into squares. I'd order again the next time I'm craving a pizza with sauerkraut. read more

Enjoyed the pizza very much. I ordered the veggie special and it was excellent. Didn't care for the salad, it appeared to have been poured out of a bag. Nothing special about it at all and the dressing tasted like it came from a bottle. I took cash with me after reading reviews that said credit and debit cards weren't accepted but it turned out that now they do accept plastic. So that is a plus. Service was friendly even though it took me a couple minutes to figure out the system. Order and pay for pizza in one line, drinks in another line, and listen for your number to be called. read more

We came here on a Saturday afternoon with a large group of teenagers and adults. We chose this place because we heard it was a local "institution" and they took a large reservation, unlike any of the local chain restaurants. Orders and payment were taken at the counter (gratuity is included) and then we had to go to a separate counter to order drinks which I found to be inconvenient (we had to wait in line twice). Then we waited at our table for our number to be called. I ordered the spaghetti dinner which came with a salad and garlic bread. The salad was unimpressive. Iceberg lettuce with a few slivers of carrot. The spaghetti was forgettable. Plain noodles with a bland and watery tomato sauce. I drained at least an ounce of water from the bottom of the aluminum tin in which the pasta was served. The garlic bread was soggy and I could not eat it. The staff was friendly but no one refilled our drinks or really paid much attention to us. The decor is outdated and there are a lot of pictures of famous people who may have once eaten here, but none from the last 3 decades. I did not try the pizza, which may have made a difference in my rating. But I do not plan on coming back a second time. read more

Marion's Piazza - Bland spaghetti served in aluminum tin. - Pizza Near Me - Dayton, Ohio

Marion's Pizza is definitely one of the best in Dayton, they just could use some updates here and there. Knowing that won't happen across their locations, go in knowing it has its charm, but is not really clean or organized. We came in during their half off deal and it wasn't as crowded as I thought it'd be when ordering, but it was chaotic. People that order online are told to cut in front, not a big deal, but annoying when 6 do and you don't move in line at all. The pizza is what you go for and it is delicious, though expensive in my opinion. The beer is so cheap, going for dinner when you can take advantage would be smart. The dining room is old and dated and often it's hard to find a clean table. read more

Before flying out of Dayton to Boston a couple of Sunday's ago, my wife and I spent the night near the airport to make the early wakeup call easy for us and for our one year old son. For dinner that night I had only one thing in mind, Marion's Piazza. Since trying Cassano's earlier this year, it has been on my radar for any trip up north. Marion's does not deliver, but fortunately there was a location within a few minutes drive our hotel for the night. The inside of the restaurant was much larger than I expected, especially compared to the Cassano's location I visited. There is a large counter at the back of the room where orders are placed and where phone ahead orders can be picked up, as I did on this visit. Beware that the restaurant is cash only. My wife and I decided to just order one large Marion's Super Cheese - pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions and green peppers topped with a mound of cheese ($17.50 for 13). The order was ready in ten of fifteen minutes, and it was still hot when I brought it back into our hotel room. Once I opened the pizza box I knew that we were in for a treat. The amount of toppings covering the pizza was more than anything I had ever seen before. The thin crust pizza was sliced just as I expected into many tiny pieces. Each piece was perfectly crispy and there was a fair amount of cornstarch on the bottom. The sauce didn't stand out very much, allowing the fresh ingredients and 100% real cheese to really shine through. I really enjoyed this pizza. read more

Love Marion's Pizza! It's a Dayton staple and worth every penny. There are coupons floating around out there for 25% off pizza if you can find one. Try looking in the Reach Magazine. They are picky about following all the coupon particulars so make sure you read the fine print. The place is generally clean and the staff is friendly. Seating is first come unless you reserve an area for a party. The dining area is large enough for a sports banquet or birthday party. Purchase your beer or soft drinks by the pitcher to save money. I always ask for no ice in the pitcher and then ice in the mugs. That way you get more drink and it doesn't get watered down read more

Alright I'm bias, I'm from Dayton so Marion's was always a staple. As another review stated, this is "Dayton style thin-crust" pizza. It's a no frills establishment and has a very down to earth neighborhood atmosphere. Someone you can grab some pizza and a drink and relax at. The food to get here is the pizza! I recommend the deluxe large. The small sausages cover the entire pizza with mushrooms, onions and anything else you could ever want. It is a bit pricy but it is pretty filling and delicious, definitely worth it. I'd say two/three fully grown guys who are hungry could definitely demolish a large. The pizzas are cut into tiny squares so they are very easy to eat. This is not the best pizza you've ever had but it's warm inviting and a great place for a meet up to fill you up and leave you satisfied. They do serve sandwiches, pasta and sides as well but I always get the pizza as it's very nostalgic. If you're looking for something unique to Dayton, you definitely should stop by and grab a bite! read more

The first time I dined here, I was not a fan. My husband grew up eating their pizza, and insisted I give it one more shot, so I did. That was 15 years ago. We now eat here a few times a month and LOVE it. The pizza isn't super fancy, it's actually a basic thin crust variety...but it really is good! The place is almost always packed (the dining room is huge!). The price is low and the quality is good. You'll also find a few pasta dishes, sandwiches and salads on the menu. Coupons can often be found in Reach magazine. If visiting for the first time, place your food order at the counter in back. There is a separate counter for drink orders (soft drinks and alcoholic beverages). The dining room is 'seat yourself' and when your pizza is ready, they will call your number (found on your receipt). This is one of those restaurants where you'll often see family celebrations, birthday parties, and team outings. They offer a party room, but it's not required for small celebrations. The service is decent and consistent. Our pizza is always good. read more

We reserved the party room for a Sunday afternoon. Wow!!! Thank you The room was ready in advance, clean, lots of tables, and perfect temperature on this hot day. The staff was kind, easy to work with, and eager to help! We ordered six pizzas, two family salads, and tons of beverages. Everyone went out of their way to make our celebration flawless. There was a brief computer issue but the manager jumped in, got everything working again, and kept the show running. The cashier had never done a party room event, but was kind and had a friendly smile behind her mask. Everyone LOVED the event, the food, and the location. Great day!!!! Thank you read more

Wonderful Pizza!!! We ordered a large pizza with sausage, onions and tomato slices. The crust was wonderful! Thin and crispy all the way through to the middle with no sogginess whatsoever! The sausage topping was generous, it literally went edge to edge with sausage and the flavor of the sausage is excellent. Not too spicy but just right. It was delicious! I was so impressed with the amount of sausage on that pizza! The onions and tomatoes were good too. A real fun place to stay and eat too with the inside looking like an Italian restaurant with windows painted with Italian murals so it looks like you are looking out at Italy. Lots of room inside.
