Our latest visit today had us walking into a practice where the entire office was being painted and the patients and staff were exposed to the toxic fumes. I had an intense headache within a few minutes of being in the waiting room. Once we were seen by our dr. In the exam room the fumes got only more intense. We expressed our concern to the staff and they said nothing could be done. The owner of the practice (Dr. Bradley Bradford) called us, but was completely unapologetic offering nothing but excuses for the issues that we brought up. Clearly this is not appropriate business practice, but is this even legal? There certainly is no adequate ventilation for the patients, some as young as 4 days old, much less staff who have to work in these conditions!

My final appointment was the reason I decided to change doctors. After waiting about 30 minutes, I was called in only to be asked why I was there, as if she had not reviewed my medical record. When I told her it was time for my annual physical, she said she did not have enough time to do it. I reminded her that I had already been waiting for about 30 minutes, but she replied that it had only been 25 minutes and told me to come back the following month. I also asked if she could order my blood work in advance so we could discuss the results at my next visit, but she refused and said she would only order it when I came back for the physical. Throughout my visits, I often felt unheard. She frequently interrupted me before I could finish explaining my concerns and gave me the impression that she was not truly listening. I never felt that my time or my health concerns were a priority. To be clear, my comments are directed solely at the physician. The nursing staff and the front desk team were always kind, courteous, and professional, and I have nothing but positive things to say about them.

Dr. Stemp once again took her time to listen to my complete list of worries I had for each of my children, going over each growth chart with me, and still connecting warmly with each of my kids- who would have loved nothing better than to chat all day with her - during a busy afternoon after school. This location is in a great spot, with plenty of overflow parking at La Cigale, and a clean and bright waiting room. So many awesome spots to stop at afterwards for a 'sorry for that shot' treat for my kids and 'please calm my nerves' tea for this mom. Thank you!

Their incompetence lead to an ER where the doctor stated it was not an ER case and could have been handled by a pediatrician. So 4 weeks with a poor sick child, numerous office visits, and an ER visit ($800 in co-pays later) the ER prescribed a 5 day course of antibiotics that had her better in 3 days.
