Wait until you read this review. I am still shocked by Dr. Steven I. Goodman's behavior. Worse than I could have possibly imagined and by his own admission. I was referred to him by a colleague of his to consult on my difficult case. On the morning of the appointment, I woke up vomiting from a medication I had been prescribed. I called the office to change my appointment for an hour later. I arrived at his office on time even though I got sick in the car on the way. The staff was pleasant and put me into a room where I stayed for almost four hours with my autistic daughter before being told that Dr. Goodman could not see me due to an emergency. I thought I was an emergency. Instead, I saw a different doctor at the practice. I had a follow-up with the referring doctor and he was upset that Dr. Goodman did not see me. His office scheduled another appointment with Dr. Goodman. When I arrived, I was five minutes early. I noticed an older couple entering the office. Since I cannot walk, it took longer for my daughter to get me to the door. However, I noticed on the sign-in sheet that this couple was scheduled at the same time as me. (I should not have seen their name on the paper that is a HIPPA violation.) The man and his wife were taken first. They put me in a room, and once again, the replacement doctor came in to see me. This time I had my husband with me. We explained that I was supposed to see Dr. Goodman. After several inquiries, Dr. Goodman finally entered the exam room. He was arrogant with a hostile attitude. He, in front of the other doctor, and my husband explained to me that he will never see me because I was late for my first appointment and the rule is if you are late, you can not be his patient. I reminded him that I came at the rescheduled time, and I was not late. He agreed it was a staff miscommunication problem; however, it was too late now and that I should have LEARNED MY LESSON and gotten the hint when he MADE ME WAIT IN A ROOM FOR three hours and 45 minutes without seeing me and he stormed out of the room before anything else could be said. My husband, the other doctor, and I were shocked, and still are, that he admitted this. Apparently, I was being punished. What kind of sick individual would treat any patient this way? If this review saves even one person from the inhuman treatment by Dr. God Complex, it was worth the time to compose. read more
