I live within minutes of this place and we eat here every Friday night and get pizza once a week from here. The pizza is top notch. 9 out of 10 nothing unique about it just excellent in every way. Flat , enough cheese and tasty sauce. Good verall flavor and you always want another slice. The dinners are very good 8 out of 10. This place is not about presentation just putting consistently good food that tastes the same way almost all the time. My wife will only eat this places shrimp parm dinner. I have had their veal dishes which are above average at best but their linguini and clam sauce is a 9 of 10 very good and clams are never overcooked with real clams. Pretty good pizza when it's fresh. They never heat up the slices enough though when you go in for a slice. Overall the pizza is good. Definitely recommend if you're ordering a whole pie. If you're going in for a slice just make sure they make it hot enough for you. All of what I said goes for all of their pies. We had a great experience at marinara! The food was delicious and their service was great. Nothing was overly expensive. We ordered the marinara pizza and it was fantastic. I love all types of pizza and it was a pleasant surprise that it came on a focaccia loaf Sicilian style with tons of marinara. If you are a sauce fanatic this is the place to go. The only reason they lost a star was because of the layout of their place when you first walk in. My family and I have been coming to Marinara for years. We are local and come here once a week. Their fish specials are always delicious. Also their waitstaff are friendly and helpful. My daughter is 3 and needs her regular slice warm, not too hot, and it's never a problem to have it cut in small pieces for her. I love their linguini primavera. It's a meal I wish I could eat everyday. Their salads are generous and you can always ask for shredded mozzarella on top. Make sure to have the special cappuccino to end you meal because they have an authentic Italian espresso machine which won't let you down, it will pick you up! read more

Best pizza in Nassau County! I love every single type of pizza I've ever had from them. My favorites are the buffalo chicken , regular slice , or anything with vegetables on it. One night I wanted pasta and I even ordered the spaghetti and meatballs from them and it was delicious. Customer service is pretty good. They are also really fast. You won't spend a lot of time waiting around for your food. The prices are okay, can't complain about that. If the quality is good I'm willing to pay. I'm usually eat the pizza and leave the crust type of person, but at marinara I finish everything. Definitely visit this place! read more

I will not waste my time or money on this place again. Took my 'rents here for Father's Day, because they order the pizza frequently. The waitress, from the beginning, took a tone of voice as though the restaurant were doing a huge favor serving us. Her tone was curt, even surly. The food was uniformly mediocre, except the pizza, which was worse. The pizza was not cooked properly, and when my mom complained, instead of trying to rectify the problem, the waitress insisted it was made the same way it always is, then asked "would you like something else?". Let me get this straight; you give a customer bad food, then offer to sell them even more of it? I was ready to cancel my order, except that it was already coming out of the kitchen. Our favorite pizzeria in town. However, tonight was unacceptable. First, we had to ask 3 different servers for marinara sauce. Our first waiter did not ask us if we wanted anything drink. No sugar coating this review: Marinara hands down has the best pizza I've ever had. It is a solid 9.5/10 and if I didn't live 2 minutes away, I would easily make a 20 minute drive here to get it because good pizza(atleast this good) isn't easy to find. There isn't too much sauce, there isn't too much cheese and the bottom is always crispy. The crust is kinda bland tho if there's no leftover sauce or cheese on it. The Sicilian slice is 10/10 and I wouldn't change a thing. As for the dishes, they too are great. My favorite is the chicken fiorentina. The penne vodka is a close #2. I've been coming here for 15 years and I don't think I'll ever stop giving them my business despite the rising costs of pizza ($2.35/slice, $2 for a bottle of soda). The worst dining out experience of my long life .... I've been going to and recommending marinara for over twenty years and have ordered the same basic dish for most of those years, penne gambieri. I order it with linguini instead of penne...usually no big deal and ask for the shrimp to be grilled (assuming as always that these are Fresh Shrimps ... Not the boil in a bag Costco variety. This dish runs about $25 ...so okay came to the table with a large amount of mushy soft linguini, about 6 pieces (small) brocolli and FIVE NICKELSIZED SHRIMPS. I complained to the waitress and she said the shrimp were small because they were broiled and rolled her eyes ... I said that's ridiculous and please tell the chef because the food was inedible. He came back, very rude, not apologetic and said there's 8 shrimp in the dish. NOT. This is where the chef should apologise and offer another dish. He came back 10 mins. later and ceremoniously presented 3 tiny shrimp on a huge platter! I asked if this was a joke! I refused to pay and especially resent the rude and crude service. read more

I've eaten here alot. Pizza really is awesome. The Italian dishes that arent pizza are just mediocre. Employees are horrible to customers about 4 out of 5 times which kind of sets up an atmosphere where everyone is walking on egg shells.
