Be very cautious!! They are all about Profits!!! I had the worse experience here, and waiting for Athenix to take responsibility. This is a Corporation, after your surgery, you're on your own, they like to play "see what we can do" card. Do your diligence research before coming to Athenix. The surgeon Dr. Azad who performed my surgery is a nice guy but it's like being at a car dealership. I had botched lipo on my double chin, and inner thighs. I had surgery on Sept 2016 by Dr. Azad, who performed lipo chin, inner thighs. I felt the consultation was like being at a car dealership; pressure sales; this price is valid the same day only. After the consultant, they convince me to take a chance on Dr.Azad. my credit wasn't good enough nor did I have the money so I was convinced my Melissa to get a loan thru United. Which I did and they approved me by my surprise. However its the worst experience. My double chin came back and its worst than before. I imformed them when i went for my 6 month visit and nothing has been done. My self esteem is worst than it was before the surgery. I hate to go out and i hate taking pictures. The money that i got financed was way 2 much for this. Also my inner thighs never looked like they removed enough fat and are still numb. I complained about it in follow up and nothing was done. The doc said I was still recovering, to give it time.. When I addressed my concerns all I heard was give it time. After 1 year, I haven't heard from them to see how I'm doing. There should be a refund or they should be liable and correct there mistakes without charging if the patient isn't happy. Anyhow, the whole ordeal resulting in: 1. Double chin Lipo - has grown back even more and I haven't gained weight. 2. Inner thighs - doesn't look like enough was taken out and I continue to have numbness. I would like to hear from the office manager or someone. All I want is this institute to do the right thing, I will need correct surgery for my chin and inner thighs. read more

For the longest time, I was not happy with my nose and definitely did not have the funds for a rhinoplasty. I'm an Asian female with a typical flat nose and flat bridge. I was sick of always having to contour my nose just to give it the illusion of some definition and it was definitely annoying to have to keep pushing my glasses up from my face on a constant basis. A friend of mine had mentioned to me about a quick and easy procedure of getting fillers in my nose bridge or some might even call it a temporary nose job. I made my appointment with Jen and she even recommended for me to come in during an upcoming special promotion Athenix was offering. Score! I was able to save money and paid almost half of what most places would charge. The sign in and registration process was super quick and easy! The front office staff was very helpful in answering any questions I had. Jen was great! She was very patient with me especially this being my first time. She answered any questions or concerns I had. She definitely knew her stuff and made me feel really calm and safe. I was really nervous because I'm not the biggest fan of needles but she walked me through the entire procedure. When she was done, I couldn't believe how quick it was and even better, PAINLESS!! I was in and out of there within 30 minutes and went right back to work. Jen explained the the do and don't post-op and I was healed up within the week. I couldn't be anymore happy with the results. Bought a Groupon to try the Velashape cellulite treatment. Was nervous about how it would feel but was surprised at how comfortable The technicians, Jo and Ronnie made me feel. They answered all my questions and assured me we could stop if I felt uncomfortable. No need to stop. Feels like a warm deep tissue massage. The humming of the machine lulls me to sleep. Bring ur ipod and listen to music during the treatment which takes no more than 30 mins. Also noticing my thighs smoothing out. In pasadena look for parking on the street. I am in really good shape aside from my waist area. I work out extremely hard and figured why not try lipo to get rid of that stubborn fat that isn't going anywhere. My 1st procedure the Dr didn't put in a drainage port (and I didn't know any better) and I developed a huge seroma. Every time I went in there they had to drain me with a giant painful syringe. This happened about 3 times before the Dr. decided to try Vella to try and "massage" it away. After about 6 months of painful procedures, they decided to take me in to try and remove this giant seroma with lipo again and again I had to pay for all the pre-op testing etc but I had to wait a year before they could perform anything. Living with this large growth protruding out of my abdomen was embarrassing and painful. Finally the year came and I was hopeful that this "thing" would go away, I was excited to go into surgery again...well the seroma was gone but now I had 1/2 of my stomach was flat the the other side was saggy from the skin that was stretched over the large seroma. Again I had to wait a year before any decisions could be made by the Dr. finally a few different doctors decided it best to do a tummy tuck to stretch the skin flat, and yet again I had to pay for all the pre-operation testing. After the surgery some of the stitches opened up and when I went in, I was told that the hole will close on its own...it did eventually but the scar from the opening looks like a healed-over burned eye socket! Today, a little over a year later, I am left with a large, crooked, uneven scar that reaches from hip to hip with a round ragged scar right in the center. I can't even wear a bikini without having the bottoms wide enough to cover my lower stomach. I do not recommend this place to anyone ever and I regret this simple procedure of liposuction that turned I to 3 years of pure pain and Hell! I believe that if the first doctor put in the drainage tubs this all would have been avoided and this is probably why she isn't there anymore but it doesn't excuse the other doctors from how they "fixed" me or why no one has ever reached out to me to see my results after my last visit... they all just wanted me to disappear... read more

Place is a joke!... got a bbl with Dr. Cobty (who's no longer there) in April 2019.... after the surgery I was told he only injected 800cc of fat! Which is absolutely nothing because only half the fat survives. It's now 8 months after the procedure and you can't even tell I've had a bbl, I still have plenty of fat in the places he liposuction and no I didn't gain any weight I've actually lost a few pounds sense I've realized this surgery was a huge waste of time and money. Don't waste your time at Athenix it's a revolving door for plastic surgeons and all the staff lie acting as if all the surgeons are skilled at everything which isn't true.. Dr. Azad was very thorough and genuinely concerned about my being a type 1 juvenile diabetic and the prescreening that I needed to obtain. I want to accurately detail my horrific experience with this clinic after getting a BBL here. I wish I had done my research and gone with a reputable doctor in Beverly Hills. I paid for my surgery May 2018 with Dr. Azad to have 360 Lipo, lipo on my hips, inner knees, inner/outer thighs. The cost was $12,500. They were only able to do my 360 Lipo and fat transfer because the fat removal limit was reached and I had to wait to do the rest of my surgery that I paid for at a later time. In my pre-op the doctor said I didn't need the hip Lipo and transferred those funds to the surgery room fee for the second surgery. My second surgery was scheduled for June 2019, because I needed a bbl revision. My first surgery day came and it was the worst experience of my life. My surgery was scheduled for 12pm, I didn't get in until about 3 pm. The I.V was started and done terribly. Blood was gushing everywhere like a murder scene because of inappropriate placement. I finally get into surgery and then wake up and it's done. As I wake up, all I hear is the rude nurse Jen yelling at me to zip up my sports bra. She then proceeds to painfully yank the catheter out of me and send me home. It was obvious they all wanted to go home quickly as I was the last surgery of the day. The after surgery experience was terrible! I've had several cosmetic surgeries and no reaction I've had was like this. I was vomiting for days and extremely ill will excessive fluid retention. I later find out that during the surgery my I.V. had fallen out and they must have overpumped me with fluids to add to the normal swelling of surgery. Fast forward to a week later, they force me to go to the emergency room because of swelling, which was a normal reaction, because they got scared that I might have a DVT. I had no pain in my joints, no DVT symptoms, and it was all normal surgery swelling. However, they forced me to go and had me waste 6 hours of my time and $2,000 in emergency room bills for nothing. I was livid! I slowly recovered from this surgery and was left with permanent burn marks on my stomach and a dented butt after healing. Dr. Azad said he would fix all this during my second surgery in June 2019 that I had paid for and scheduled. March 2019 rolls around and I receive a phone call from a confused Lonnie, the person who sold me all these procedures. She was wondering why I had a surgery appointment when I had already gotten my procedure. I had to explain to her the situation, which should've been documented in their records. She then proceeds to inform me that the board certified doctor, Dr.Azad, who I had paid all this money for to perform my surgeries is no longer with the company. He had left in December of 2018. Why was I only hearing of this at the end of March 2019? Kind of fishy... she proceeds to tell me a new doctor has replaced him. I do my research on Dr. Marshall and come to find out he is relatively fresh in the field and is NOT board certified like the original doctor. The price I paid is on par with having a board certified doctor perform your surgery, not a newbie. I had the hardest time canceling the surgery and getting some of my money back. They needed to refund my for the inner/outer thigh, knees, and hip Lipo that was never done and all they refunded me for was the inner/outer thigh and knees. They claimed that the doctor did my hips, which he did not Lipo my hips as they are bigger than before surgery! Their documentation is not accurate and I believe they falsify the information. I had to go through so much to try and get a refund and still didn't get what I was due. I paid $12,500 for the procedure and only got a refund of $1990 for the 3 parts I ended up not getting Lipo on because I didn't trust the new doctor. I was swindled out of the money I paid for my hips which was another $1000. They barely gave me anything back and I ended up paying $10,510 for a poorly done 360 Lipo and fat transfer. I contacted the better business bureau to try and resolve the situation because I know they are conning me out of my money. The business hasn't responded and it has been almost a month. Please, if you are considering this type of surgery don't do it through Athenix. They are overpriced, surgeons are not all board certified, and they cheat you out of your money! Go to Beverly Hills where the doctors are known for their work and own their own practice! Do your research when getting plastic surgery and never go with a corporate company like this! They are trained con artists and the patient's money is all they care about. I just wanted to update my review and add that the employees of Athenix are trying to have my review removed by reporting it to Yelp. What a scam! I was so excited about having body sculpting and liposuction done. In early September I went in for the consultation and met with their consultant Molli. She hooked me up with different financing companies where I was able to receive 2 loans to cover the procedure I wanted done. $16,300. I had booked my date for October 8th. Before that date I had my appointment to get my bloodwork done. It turned out my cholesterol was way too high and the doctor would not give the okay to go forward. The doctor informed Athenix of the results and as soon as I was able which was Sept 27th I called and talked to the manager and she agreed to cancel and send the refund to both companies. Meanwhile my loans are already added to my credit report and I'm being sent reminders that I have to make my monthly payments with both companies. 1 week later after talking to both loan companies explaining again the situation, they informed me that there had not been any refunds initiated yet. I call Athenix several times with no return call and finally when I do get ahold of the receptionist she promised to have the manager call me. Of course she didn't, but I called again the next morning and finally was able to speak to her. She said she called both loan companies and had straightened it out, but she was just placating me, buying time because she had not done so. Again about a week later, 5 days past the due date on the first loan, I call the loan company again because I was getting late notices. At the same time I was on the line with the loan company I had made a three way call with Athenix so the loan officer could hear what the manager of Athenix was telling me, and get some straight answers. Turns out she claims that all refunds cannot be done until the beginning of the next month. Why couldn't she say that in the first place and why didn't she issue the refund in the beginning of October since I canceled it on September 27? So I had to make payments to both of the loan companies just so I wouldn't get a bad marks on my credit. Meanwhile because of both loans going on my credit report my score crashes down 72 points. Finally the 1st was here. I waited a few days before following up. I find they still haven't been refunded. So I started a dispute. I call Athenix again to talk to the manager and the receptionist said she would have her call me back. She didn't call me back so I called again and said the manager was expecting my call. She answered and said to me she had just been on the phone with both loan companies and refunds have been initiated. I called both of the loan companies to confirm this and they said I should give it a few days. The next day I get a call from Athenix asking for the acct. # of one of the loans. I thought that funny considering both loans were supposedly already initiated. I guess the dispute I started got their attention. I received confirmation today the 11th that indeed both of the accounts have finally been refunded. Still it will be a month before it falls off my credit report, but I am so glad it's finally over. I was asked if I would maybe want to keep the loans for a later time when I could have the procedures done and I thought to myself, I dont trust you now, why would I trust you with my bod read more
