The location is beautiful, and I understand it's in a high tourist area, so that's probably the reason for the food being so expensive. The food was really good, I have no complaints there! The server was friendly, but it was pretty obvious we were far from her priority compared to other tables since we were tourists. It seemed like a lot of the windows in the buildings around Cannes were propped open for air flow. While it's really beautiful to look at from the outside, just be prepared when you go to the restroom because the wide open windows there allow a pretty open street view; luckily it was on the second floor so no one can see unless they're far enough away read more

Reasonable pricing for the area since Cannes is basically the Beverly Hills of France. The servers were constantly moving to and from tables, bussing them and delivering food. My respect for their work ethic. The steak was not a great cut of beef. Lots of gristle and tendons finches through. I ended up leaving half on the plate, sadly. The escargot was really good. It's good to check reviews before going into a place. Just like the others, stopped by as we were walking in Cannes. I agreed with service not the best. I'm not sure why it's so hard to be friendly and smile! I agreed with food. It was not the best. My friend ordered linguine with truffle and she loved it. I ordered prawns with some cognac sauce. Prawns were not fresh at all, and overall average plate. Sangria was just wine with soda and a piece of orange. Happened to come across this place while walking in Cannes while in port for a cruise. The 18€ pre fixe menu caught my eye with the idea of Nutella crepes for dessert sealing the deal. Overall food was good but probably average. Ordered the antipasti salad to start and mussels and fries for the main course. Mussels and fries seem to be a local staple among restaurants and a friend who visited the city previously suggested it as well. Granted I'm not a mussels connoisseur, but the mussels seemed to lack a little flavor and would have been better in a sauce as opposed to being just steamed, but maybe that's just a limitation of the pre fix menu. No complaints about the quantity and it took a while to open and ear them all. The crepe was delicious and a good end to the meal. How can you go wrong with crepes in France? Service was average. Not fast but not slow. Took a while to get the check though. Waitress spoke enough English to get by. WiFi available in the restaurant but even though they gave me the password was never able to connect to it even though I could see the network. read more

The service was awful (characteristic of the area) the child's menu for my nephew resembled dog food and french fries, our main dish - tuna in a balsamic sauce and veggies and rice were literally inedible so much so we ate a few bites and were unable to eat anymore. Travelers, I would like to report the very bad situation that my wife went through at the Marina Caffé restaurant in Cannes, France. On August 2, 2019, my wife decided to have lunch at Marina Café after her city tour by the city. She made the first order, and the starter course was foie gras with toast and a glass of wine, which were delicious. After the starter course she decided to order the main course, salad, potatoes and meat with gorgonzola sauce. When the main course arrived, at that moment, my wife realized that the meat was spoiled, not fresh, and for health reasons, she asked for the meat to be changed. The very attentive waitress agreed and took the information to the owner of the restaurant. At this moment, the owner appeared truculently and went to my wife's table and stated that the meat was good and told to my wife, wanting or not, she should pay for the dish. My wife aswered, "Mr., I'm sitting here, I don't refuse to pay, I just can't eat this meat, it's spoiled. Where did you get this idea that I don't want to pay?" The screaming owner repeated in French, "If you ask, you pay or I'll call the police." My wife began to cry because she was being humiliated and everyone present was seeing this unjust humiliation being committed. The waitress at the restaurant tried to calm down my wife, as she also witnessed the owner's lack of respect, tact and aggression. As my wife was alone, he felt entitled to scream and humiliate her. In view of this, my wife asked for the bill and paid for everything, including the spoiled meat. That was when my wife's friend, who speaks French, arrived and without understanding, asked what happened. In very bad situation to answer, because she was shaking so much, because she was nervous and scared, the waitress started to explain and sympathize with the situation, but the restaurant owner remained altered, aggressive and shouting a lot. My wife's friend tried to talk to him, but the restaurant owner was irreducible and even more aggressive called her a whore!! Certainly a place to never come back to!! Clearly, the restaurant owner has mental problems, as the employees themselves said, "He is bad person and he's not ready to serve clients." I pity the waitresses who will have keep working with this mr., because she will never step there again. My wife was aggressively cornered, verbally harassed, humiliated and crying a lot was forced to pay for something she did not eat. Travelers, please avoid this restaurant !! Dry Tuna, Cold Hands So I came here with my friends and did the 18 euro menu, I had the chèvre chaud salad which was pretty good, and some pretty good escargot for the table. My tuna steak was really dry. Additionally my friends who ordered the steak which came in vastly different sizes and they didn't cook to order. One steak was bloody one was leather. We will see how the dessert goes. However the rest of the restaurant had some rather undesirable features- for one we saw a cockroach. Ick. Comfy place with quite decent food. They bothered to do some decorations, so it looks quite nice. There are several all-in-one menus, like you can choose 3 dishes including desert. The location of this Marina Caffe is excellent, very close to the waterfront. The food, which is the main thing, was very good. My dish was the worst (I ordered fried collection of fish, calamari and squid), based on the recommendation of the waitress, but was kinda disappointed. The rest of us had the seafood linguini, the salmon, and the veal, all of which where great. Drinks too: water bottles and apple juices. The service was very good. Nice people all around. Didn't try their desserts even though I saw a few promising ice scream plates crossing in front me throughout the evening--I had already decided to get some fresh watermelons and figs from the place at the end of the street. The price felt a bit high at first (€110 for two adult and two children) but then again it was right on he beach, almost, and it was the French Rivera, so I guess it was reasonable. read more

We ate here for breakfast, which the menu offered crepes so we stopped as the location is good. After ordering we heard several customers in the table next to us requesting for their food to be warmed because it came out cold....not a good sign. My cappuccino was terrible both the coffee side of it plus it essentially had no milk froth as whatever "milk" put on top quickly disappeared. Then my crepe was served like a pancake (ie, not folded like crepes always are) with some "chocolate sauce", more like an unknown & yucky watery chocolate drizzle. The taste was awful, I didn't even eat half of it because I did not enjoy any part of it. Was so obvious it came from a package. Do yourself a favor & choose one of the MANY other places serving great food...this one only wants to serve you cheapest, lowest quality food at a price you would expect to receive decent food. read more

Don't bother. We knew it wasn't going to be good, and it did live up to that. Over cooked and flavourless is the deal here. The cod was dry and crispier than a fish and chip.
