We are immediately greeted by a cheerful lady from the back of the restaurant who motions for us to take a seat anywhere. It was quite busy and opened late for lunch as most establishments only open from around 12-2pm, so we lucked out, showing up at 1:30pm. We ordered our Cafe Americain, I had the sea bass and husby had the leg of lamb confit. If you want bread, you have to ask for it and it comes in a paper bag of three pieces, yummy pieces that is! Husby's Lamb arrives first with a large side bowl of mash and gravy and it is delicious fall off the bone good! My sea bass arrives and I am surprised that it is a whole fish, head, eyeballs and all! It is stuffed with herbs and butter but watch the bones! The skin is super crisp so eat it! It's good for you right?? The vegetables are roasted perfectly and lightly seasoned, as for the rice, a slight after thought, but still flavoured with oil oil. If you're looking for comfort food home style cooking, this is the place! The maître d lady is wonderful and the staff attentive, all spoke some broken English too, but French does help!
