I needed a Smog Cert, and looked online for a shop close to my home. This shop had all 5 star reviews, and here's another one for them. They took me as a walk-in appt; fast, easy, professional, good price... And -- the owner was very gentle and patient and kind to my newly adopted&anxious dog. read more

Needed comprehensive air conditioner repair or replacement for my 2012 Outback 3.6r. My mechanic for the past 15 years couldn't get the job done over 2 weeks. I went to Marin Auto Care in the past for Smog check and asked them to evaluate my A/C. Owner Kambiz took the challenge and made my A/C run like new in 2 days. I have been a loyal customer ever since. These folks are honest and highly experienced! read more

My Smog Test was performed quickly and professionally at the price promised. I couldn't ask for anything more.

Marin Auto care is amazing. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! We had a unique and strange issue with our Subaru. The first two mechanics/garages that we took our car to (a Subaru expert and also another great garage) could NOT figure out the problem. Kambiz at Marin Auto Care, figured it out in a short period of time. This was a James Bond-level problem. He is very, very skilled. Great service, really nice people. So pleased. read more

I stumbled across this shop and could not be happier. Great work, very reasonable prices, they allowed me to bring my own break parts, and great communication. I will be back. read more

Extremely attentive and supported additional needs beyond the smog check! Highly recommend!

Came here today to get my car smogged. I found a coupon in the Val-pak and decided to try them out! $55 out the door! Can't beat that! The mechanic was the nicest guy. We actually ended up just chatting after the work was complete. I can say enough good things... price was great, the service was great as well. I think I found my new mechanic!!! Highly recommend! read more

Marin Auto Care is an efficient & helpful service for smog checks! Highly recommend this location

Best kept secret in Marin for getting your car fixed fast, honest and reasonable. They make it easy and they know all about cars. Main mechanic Cambreeze left Toyota after years of servicing cars. Friendly and easy to work with, & they don't up charge women; they are courteous and consistently fair and knowledgable if you have a question. Love this place!!! read more

Very friendly and quick response and appointment time for pre-purchase inspection. I would definitely recommend and return.

I highly recommend Marin Auto Care!! Kambiz did a pre-purchase inspection on a used car that I was considering purchasing. He was extremely helpful and knowledgable, did a very throrough inspection, answered all my questions and gave me alot of extra info about car maintenance, and how to negotiate with the seller. Very reasonable price, too. read more

My car needed new bearings, control arms and CV axle (when it rains it pours I guess). I shopped around and Marin Auto Care was not only competitively priced but the owner is awesome. There are no frills/embellishments when discussing the car with him. He will take a look at the car when you bring it to him - for my car he just told me to wait 15 minutes and took a look and instantly knew the problem(s). I didn't get the issue resolved right away just because I was not ready to spend money on the car yet and he had no issues with that. He was patient and when I was ready he scheduled it pretty quickly and finished the work in half a day and returned the car well ahead of the agreed upon return time. Like I said - no frills, no extras, no sales tactics - just what is the issue, here is how we can solve it! Pretty happy with the service. read more

Mechanics are like dentists. You had better research well and choose the absolute BEST you can find. I'm the type who reads EVERY review of EVERY place, then I decide. That's just how I live. Kambiz really knows his stuff, but is a super nice and honorable guy. Once I find the right service providers, I'm done. I'm so RELIEVED to have the best mechanic in town because nobody tells you that kind of stuff. Well, I'm telling you here. Best mechanic in town. Lucky you. read more

Our car had been making some noise for a while when my dad recommended I take it to Kambiz. He was able to determine the issue immediately (a wheel bearing problem) and fixed it much more quickly than I expected. It's like a whole new car - a huge difference! I also feel like Kambiz really cares about his work and helping people get what they need out of their car (my dad has also had a great experience here with his cars, so we drove over from Oakland). Trustworthy, helpful, does a good job, and has fair prices - I'll be back next time my car need something! Thank you! read more

Kambiz is an excellent and very knowledgeable mechanic but, even more importantly, is a man of integrity. He does what he says he'll do and that's rare today. I trust Kambiz to service our 23 vehicles and he has been exceptional. read more

The owner Kambiz is very honest and knowledgeable. He did my smog and then gave me great advice regarding a car key which was not working well. He did not try to sell me anything. I appreciate his straightforward attitude, honesty and great customer service. Thank you, Kambiz. read more

Great service; terrific advice; anxiety reduced: thousands of dollars of unneeded repair avoided - the GM dealer was trying to bankrupt me.

Got my oil change here. Kambiz was very helpful, giving me advice on my specific model of car, etc. So much better than Valvoline!

Since I had such a pleasant experience here a couple of years ago, I decided to get my brakes done here along with an oil change. Again, the owner Kambiz offered excellent customer service besides a great job taking care of my car. I also appreciated that he asked me prior to coming if I had any COVID symptoms and followed masking and distance protocols (plexiglass shield in office when checking estimate and paying). AND he had my car washed since he noticed it was dirty while he was testing the brakes after replacement! I have found my regular mechanic from now on and heartily recommend him. FYI-lots of German cars and other higher end drives there to get work done, and he knows his Japanese vehicles as well. Thanks Kambiz! read more

I've had multiple great experiences at Marin Auto Care with Kambiz and Jim. THIS IS THE BEST AUTO SERVICE IN MARIN. Read further for more detail: As a person who knows barely anything about cars, I have been to many places where that has been taken advantage of to gain some extra cash. At Marin Auto Care, that was not the case. They were honest, so affordable in comparison to any other place, and so nice. The two men there treated me with some of the best customer care I have ever received. If I could give 6 stars, I would. I am excited to go back next time anything is wrong with my VW Jetta again. This business is the most authentic and caring you will find anywhere. They do NOT try and scam you and make you spend the most that they can, they are the very OPPOSITE. They are honest, upfront and real. They are super friendly and will offer you the best service around. My friend experienced a minor problem with her car and they were super respectful and educated her on the issue and how it can easily be fixed. This business ROCKS. I highly recommend. read more

Returning home to Watsonville from a long road trip, our '08 Subaru began missing badly on the 101 in San Rafael. We quickly pulled off and very luckily found Marin Auto Care next to the off-ramp. Kambiz learned of our predicament and immediately began working on diagnosing the problem. The car was WAY overdue for a tune-up. He worked on it Friday afternoon, we stayed with friends locally that night, he returned early Saturday to complete the job and we were on our way home again. He is very helpful, knowledgeable, informative and fair. This is the kind of businessman you want to come back to. Thank you again Kambiz! read more

I highly recommend this dealership that is easy access off sir Francis Drake Boulevard. The owner KAmbiz is a super knowledgeable, honest and fast working individual who took care of my car and saved me probably $300-$400 off a $1500 job. Owner Kambiz saved me tonight. It was pouring rain and my windshield wipers had gone out... I stopped literally a few minutes before Kambiz was supposed to close as I was 10 miles from my destination and 10 miles from home and couldn't see out of my windshield... He could have taken advantage of the situation and pretty much charged me anything because I was desperate. But nope -- he fixed the wipers in like 5 minutes, was completely friendly, and sent me on my way... If you are looking for excellent and efficient service at a fair price, I would highly recommend Kambiz! read more
