Store, 4 stars - Vicki, 5 stars!!!! Came to the fashion district for a prom dress. Went to a few stores but loved what we saw here and walked back to MariGold. Vicki was so kind and helpful. She made the shopping experience great for my daughter. Helped her try everything on, ordered the right size (they didn't have her's in stock) and when we came back to pick it up a few days later, she got her all set up to try it on and it was perfect. We are so grateful to Vicki for making the day easy for us. She is so sweet! read more

I have bought 8 dresses here so far! We have to go back for a few more. There was one lady that was a little rude in the beginning but Maricruz has taken care of me and my family since and she's great! read more

Mari Cruz was the sweetest ever she helped me find the perfect dress so quick brought different sizes and found the color I needed and had it picked up for me with in the hour ! Everyone was super sweet read more

Bad attitude told me to go look at other places and to come back when I know what I wanted!

Very sweet lady..she gave us a discount along with a free tailored. Recommend this store!

Scammers wouldn't trust even putting a deposit. The manager Gabriel and his staff were very rude and unprofessional during their whole process of purchasing. Would definitely go elsewhere. read more

We had been here a few months ago to buy a dress for my daughter, and the experience was okay, so I decided to bring my daughter-in-law back to look at some options. Before coming in, we had stopped at other stores and she had taken a photo of a dress she liked. When we showed it to one of the sales associates, she responded rudely and asked why we didn't just buy it at the other store if we wanted it so badly, claiming they had the same owner. Whether that's true or not (which is hard to tell given the different store names), we came here because we wanted to give this store our business. The interaction felt unprofessional and unwelcoming, so we decided to leave and take our business elsewhere. As we were leaving, there was also a customer outside arguing with staff, claiming the store had switched the dress she ordered and wouldn't issue a refund. Hearing that raised additional concerns for us. Overall, the customer service this time was disappointing compared to our first visit. read more

They took my deposit for a dress, then turned around and sold it to someone else and kept my money. Nothing was clear, everything kept changing. One minute they're saying one thing, next minute it's something different. At one point they said we'd get the money back, then suddenly we can't .The attitude from both the lady in the front and THE MANAGER was crazy. If you want to risk losing your deposit, getting your dress sold and getting treated horribly as said in other reviews as well this is the place for you! read more

THEY SCAM!!! The dress on the manakin was the dress that I wanted and ordered. The dress that I have on is the one that they gave me. As you can see comparing the top part of the dress looks nothing like the manakin one. They probably just got the one that I have on from SHEIN, the quality of the dress is not the same as the one on the manakin. Save your time and money, it's not worth it. Go to a different store where you get the actual dress you order. The customer service here is horrible, all the ladies are RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL. Diana (employee) was the one who helped me, she's the worst! read more

The staff they gave great advice! We bought a a beautiful green dress for homecoming. The ladies were very friendly and helpful.

Everyone that works there are so rude, they were only nice the day i bought my dress, i spent $400 very overpriced for a prom dress once they got the money they didn't care anymore . I will never come again to buy or recommend your business at all, rude and disrespectful customer service 0/10. read more

As soon as we walked in we were welcomed by the girls. Great Service, and very competitive prices. The selection is Amazing...

Loved the style of the dress I tried on but it didn't come in a color I wanted. As soon as I said I was going to pass on the dress their attitude changed and the little short manager started making snarky comments, saying why would I try it on if I knew they didn't have the color I wanted. read more

Very good service, mari was varry attentive of what i was looking for and made sure the price fit ny budget definitely recommend and will be coming back for more dresses! read more

This store is absolutely ridiculous, my friend bought a dress from here and SHE LEFT A DEPOSIT , she kept the receipt of the date .... And they sold the dress she had put a deposit on. We go into the store and they were so unprofessional about the situation . The manager had to be spoken to on the phone . This whole situation was so frustrating. Make sure to never come here ! read more

Going to LA there's so many of the same dress shops.I was looking for a mother of the bride plus size bling dress and store after store I could not find anything or they didn't have anything. The staff at Marigold went out of their way. I was able to try on three dresses. I ended up ordering a dress which was a very good price. Their staff was outstanding. Highly recommend the store. read more

If I could I would have not given them a star. They said they would have a dress ready with in 2 weeks they didn't had it. We went and they told us another week. We went after that week they checked and instead of having the dress they wanted me to go get another one in a different store. I asked for my money back and they didn't want to give it to me. To told it off they wanted me to wait an hour then until more time pass to come back. They called a different person to talk to us about the issue. No point when we wanted the money back. Just so that they call tell me that they can Zelle me. Which they did. So I guess the are able to return the money back with out a manager. Very unprofessional of their part. I understand they can be backed ordered but don't promise me something that you can't keep and at least be courteous to call me and let me know it's backed ordered. Worst place ever to order a dress from. I suggest to buy the dress if they have it right there and then if not don't even bother. read more

If you love being lied to and overpaying, this is your dream store! This place is a legit SCAM. First off, You can only try 2 dresses and the next dress is $25 like what? I paid double the price for a defective prom dress because the sales associate convinced me it was the "last one in that size and color." but then when I walked across the street and saw the exact same dress for half the price. I was literally shaking cuz I told her my budget was $300 and she was like the dress is $500, she came down to $420 and I went with it cuz I trusted her. But wait she even asked for a tip. A tip! As if scamming me wasn't enough If you enjoy being guilt-tripped, manipulated, and ripped off, run -- don't walk -- to this store. Otherwise, save your money and your sanity and shop literally anywhere else. Do yourself a favor and shop somewhere honest. Don't fall for their tricks like me. THE AUDACITY. I'm writing this review for the young girls out there that just want to look their best on their prom night. Don't go to this store. read more

I loved the dresses here! You will for sure, find something you love. We bought three dresses here and the staff is very helpful and gives great service. I will be coming back in the future for my bridesmaids. read more

Overall, the experience here was awful. At first, when you're trying on dresses, the staff are friendly because they want you to buy. But the moment you say you're not going to purchase, their attitude changes completely. They were about to close, and when I told them I was going to hold off on buying and asked for a card, they simply walked away. One employee even made eye contact with another and said, 'We could've closed earlier if it wasn't for them.' Very unprofessional and disappointing. read more

So we went window shopping this Sunday and we hit every shop. I'm a single proud dad of a very successful Daughter so I'll do it if needed. We hit DTLA womens District. It's odd because most shops are ran by Latinas but the product is Chinese, but no issues here. We this Marigold and Lady Divine which I believe are ran bybthe same family both had same products. Because Marigold and most shops only allow you to try 2 dresses you might need to go to alt shops. We were looking for a dress for prom and my kiddo is pitet like 0 or 00 but fit and a swimmer. 1st was Marigold but because she is blonde and a white girl most colors wash her out, white valley girls need neo point blank. The shop was very nice customer service was extremely helpful but again you get 2 shots to choose. After walking around we decided on her 1st choice pale yellow and it was outstanding. We couldn't return to Marigold cause we tried our 2 but we hit Lady Divine. Found bought. The ladies here are super nice and fantastic as a man could judge! Keep in mind ladies and moms a size 2 is average amd they do not make much smaller however try the 2 cause a 2 was a 0 for us. We thank Marigole amd Lady Divine both are same owned amd we had an excellent time. Dad here not to men stay outside the woman flock to the dressing rooms and judge Daughter's to Daughter's one who looks better azz uppers and all like a silent cat fight. Thanks ladies my Daughter is beautiful and will never experience this night again! We tiped well! read more

DON'T BUY here. manager has the worst customer service. I ordered a dress and when I went to pick up it was the wrong dress and they refused to give me my $ back and wanted store credit. Manager took off. Have to take him to small claims court. Worst service ever!! Save yourself $ and time. I had to find another dress as the wedding was in a few days. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Little short man was absolutely rude and insulting to myself and my bridal party. He didn't want to listen to our reasoning and what we wanted and had the audacity to make snarky comments to us. Went today looking for bridesmaids dresses with the bridal party. We were wanting a specific light blue color, however the workers looked at us crazy for not taking just any blue dress. Would only let one of us try on the dress, even though all the bridesmaids have different body types. The short man told us he wouldn't let his daughter wear a dress I had tried on. Over all very rude tone, snarky comments, and do not recommend. There are better shops that we went to afterwards in the area. read more

Gaby is RUDE. When I asked to try on a dress she refused to help me and told me it needed to be preordered . When I told her I would preorder she told me I couldn't . I then asked to speak to her manager and told me I couldn't . Very unprofessional read more

Don't believe the hype you see on TikTok or other social media ads. This was the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Not only were they racist, the workers barely spoke English. If you weren't Latin or didn't speak Spanish don't even bother going! You will be flat out ignored. It wasn't just my party, but another party as well that had a taste of discrimination. She asked for a specific size, the worker looked at her and walked away. We were told that everyone was allowed to try on only two dresses. The Latin party next to us were being waited on hand and feet while us other folks were ignored or sneered at. They were even able to try on numerous dresses. Do not go here! It's not worth the wait and there are other shops around that have the same selection of dresses. read more

Beautiful dresses. The lady who helped me was nice but I didn't tip due to my overall experience. The lady with the bbl in the front is rude and kept trying to get me out the door by saying "we don't have it" but the other lady was nice and gave me options such as we can order it or you can alter it. I'm Latina so I can only imagine how they treat other people who don't speak Spanish. read more

Went to look for a sweet 16 dress for my daughter. We found two dresses. After waiting about 15 minutes to get the attention of the girl pretending not to see us she finally came over with an attitude to ask what did we want. We asked for the two dresses but were told they didn't have one of the dresses in her size. So we picked another one that was similar. While my daughter was trying on the two dresses (my daughter liked one of them but really wanted the one they didn't have in her size) the lady came back and said I found the dress in your size but in a different color, but they could order it for us in the color online. My daughter went to grab the dress to try on and the girl stated well you already liked the other dress and tried on two so you can't try this one on. I told her we would buy be buying it. She said but you already liked the other one so you can't try on the 3rd one. I asked even though it's the original one we asked for. She said but you liked the other one. I was going back and forth with her stating that she wanted that dress but you said you didn't have it in her size. She still said no. I did not want to give them my business or my $350 dollars so we didn't purchase any of the dresses. I would never return back there to purchase anything. It's a shame because they have a beautiful selection of dresses. read more

i got my prom dress here beautiful dress worked my way down to $300 on it but horrible customer service. even went on a weekday in hopes they wouldn't be busy which they weren't yet were very impatient and rude with me, if i'm spending more than $100 on a dress let me take a second to breathe and get a good look before you try to rip the dress off of me. due to poor service i wouldn't go back and made my prom dress dress shopping a bad experience. don't believe their instagram they have horrible customer service if i could go back to when i went dress shopping i would've been as rude as they were. if you do go here don't hesitate to give them the same disrespect they will give you. read more
