After researching several shops online MNM Couture was the highest on my list out of 7 stores DTLA for my daughter's prom (she's very picky). After browsing for a short time; my daughter came upon a beautiful black sequin dress. After trying on the dress it came to life! It fit her body perfectly and of course, she fell in love with it, and so did I until I saw the price tag. Lily was so attentive to our needs and very patient. She took her time suggesting dresses that fit in the price range of what I wanted to spend. Since we had 6 more shops to visit I told Lily that if there were nothing else to our liking we would return. After leaving MNM, we went to a store directly across the street. After walking in, a lady approached us and said we could only try on 3 dresses (1st mistake). I was cool with that until my daughter decided that she wanted to try on a dress. Mind you, it was cheaply made and different from the first dress she tried on at MNM. I went to the dressing room with her only to be rudely stopped by a young salesperson who said "You can't be on this side of the rope" I looked around to see other people being assisted by their moms. I said a few words to her turned around and walked out heading back to MNM. Lily was on break when I returned to the store and cut her break short to assist me. I can guarantee these 5 star reviews are fake! Fake fake fake just like the prices on their dresses!!!!! They priced one dress at $1200 when I laughed and asked the real Price of the dress ( mind you it was a beautiful dress, but really we are downtown) the girl laughed at me and said it was because it was a designer dress and it's the name on the dress that matters. Horrible service! After trying on 3 dresses, finding 1 I loved & then seeing 3 more I wanted to check out, they rudely informed me I couldn't try them on (no signs but they decided I had to first buy a dress if I wanted to try on more than 5). PS, I'd just spent $1k next door at C'est La Vie (highly recommended), I even showed them the receipt in case the problem was that they thought we weren't serious. They offered to give us a $160 discount for a yelp review. My mom and I decided they could keep their discount, but we should probably give them their review. read more
